“knock, and it will be opened to you” - but it won’t 😄





This church is almost always closed . From the outside it looks like an absolute gem in the middle of an Istanbul district full of history and a fascinating multicultural atmosphere . The reason it's usually closed is because of the absence of a Greek community in Kumkapi .

Nice church with interesting paintings inside. Not easy to find and get access. Bang the gate and hope that a sombre lady come and get you in.
