Ein schönes Städtchen mit einer grossen Kathedrale über dem Douro. Einen Besuch wert.

no big deal.
Castle ruins are always open for a visit. You can also go around the citadel walls if you have time for a 30 minute walk. The castle area is mostly cleaned and some improvements were apparently made recently but I can't help but feel that those works were interrupted and some things were left incomplete.
