Spent less than $2 on parking and $22 on a admission and walked through for an hour. This was my second time visiting the Portland Japanese Garden, but first time during the middle of Fall season. The Falls colors are breathtakingly gorgeous and this would be a great location for a romantic outdoor picnic, depending on weather, and it's super peaceful and tranquil. They have restrooms, water fountains, a gift shop, a real tea house, and at certain times guided tours! Wonderful place to visit and walk through to just slow down and enjoy nature!

The Japanese Garden was fabulous, tranquil and stunningly beautiful. Many species] places to sit or just pause and take in the exquisite scenery, the bonsai, maples, koi, views of Mount Hood, waterfalls and water features.

One of the greatest, if not the greatest urban park in the world. Can be accessed through a hike through the hills if your in downtown or a ride through the MAX, Washington Park will give you unfiltered access to the beauty of the PNW, all within a short reach of downtown. This is a pinnacle of how we should combine our cities to the nature that surrounds it, instead of an urban sprawl that destroys it. So many trails to explore, hills to climb (if you love to cycle) and sights to take in. Must visit for anyone in Portland.

Beautiful park adjacent to the Japanese garden in Portland. Tennis courts and roses...two of my favorites things. What a welcome surprise this was, only discovering it because I couldn't find parking nearby. Faced with a long walk back to the car, I was looking for a shortcut, and decided to cut through Washington park. This place was stunning with roses as far as the eye can see! How I wish I had made time to see the entire thing but what I did see just walking through the edge of it was spectacular!

I had an incredible time visiting the Oregon Zoo! It's a fantastic place for a family day out or a solo adventure. The wide variety of animals and exhibits left me in awe. The zoo is beautifully designed, and the staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their work.

I was particularly impressed by the conservation efforts and educational programs they have in place. It's heartwarming to see an organization dedicated to protecting wildlife and educating the public about the importance of wildlife conservation.

The habitats for the animals are spacious and well-maintained, making it clear that the well-being of the animals is a top priority. Plus, the zoo's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices is commendable.

Don't miss the chance to see the majestic elephants, playful penguins, and the adorable otters! And if you have kids, they'll absolutely love the interactive exhibits and play areas.

Overall, the Oregon Zoo exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a must-visit destination in Portland, and I can't wait to return. Keep up the fantastic work, Oregon Zoo!

Rose Garden and Japanese Garden were both beautiful. Rose Garden was free to walk through. It wasn't far from the Japanese garden. It was just after the tennis courts. Japanese garden was very relaxing. There are lots of places to sit and just take in nature. I would recommend going early and making a reservation if you want to eat at the cafe.

Washington Park is a beautiful area with lots of trees and plenty of hiking trails. It is amazing that this huge park is in a city—you can easily forget where you are. There is a beautiful rose garden and a Japanese garden as well, if you care to visit. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the park but be warned—there are some hills.
