Federal Hill Smiles

I found Dr. Denise almost 30 years ago. First things first, Dr. Denise is an exceptionally skilled dentist. The office is impeccable. Her staff are all extremely skilled and well trained, and seem happy to be a part of her team. I have never received anything other than exemplary care from this practice. I have referred countless friends and family, and everyone has been happy with the care received. They do a great job of navigating the insurance conundrums. Parking is a breeze most days and times.

A little bit of back story. Back in the 80’s, I had a wonderful dentist whom I adored. He was very skillful, and also one of the very few dentists who would treat HIV positive patients. While I am not HIV positive, I so much respected him for being open minded, and providing care to what was then an under-served population. When he and his wife moved out of state, Dr. Denise agreed to take on his patients. Even though we lived over 30 minutes away, we decided to stick with her, because of her compassion and willingness to serve. We, and almost everyone in our family and friend group have made the trek to Federal Hill Smiles. Dr. Denise is not only compassionate, but also an exceptionally skilled dentist.

Absolutely the best, they treated my husband and I like family as soon as we walked through the door. Everyone is so nice and happy, can tell they love what they do. Thank you so much!!!

Fed Hill Smiles goes above and beyond for their patients. I had a dental emergency and Kristie reached out to me after I posted in a local neighborhood facebook group, she scheduled me the very next day. The office is clean, covid-safe and everyone there is warm, friendly, knowledgable and dedicated to the patient experience. As I was seen by Dr. Markoff I could hear her colleagues calling every oral surgeon to find me the quickest appointment. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to going back when it's time for a cleaning.

Due to Corona I was apprehensive about my overdue appointment. Kristy’s smile (shining through her mask) as a greeting, seeing Nicole & meeting friendly, bubbly Marissa (awesome hygienist) it was a positive experience!
The icing on the cake was seeing Dr Denise after such a long time. Dr Denise has this talent of making me feel as though she’s never rushed for time, making me feel special.

Came here after several years of being terrified of the dentist, so my issues had stacked up. Nancy and Dr. Markoff are awesome. They explain everything and are extremely knowledgeable- were able to explain some things to me on my first visit that previous dental offices couldn’t explain. I’ve already recommended them to a couple of people I know who are also scared of going to the dentist.

I can't say enough how great the staff is at Federal Hill Smiles. I knew I was going to have two hours of dental work facing me and I was very nervous. I was immediately put at ease by Dr. Markoff's assistant. Dr. Markoff was super and is a marvel at her practice. I can't say enough about her.

Great doctor, great staff. What more can one ask for?

I have been coming here for almost 20 years. I am always very happy with the quality of care I receive here. Dr. Denise and her staff are always very friendly, easy to get along with, and have a good sense of humor. They also work hard to make sure you are comfortable. You really can't go wrong! I'll just add that Marissa is the new hygienist as of my February 2020 visit. She did a fine job and we had some good conversation (as much as possible with my mouth full!).
