Nice setting and lively atmosphere. Food was tasty but the service was beyond pitiful. We had received our appetizers before any drinks or cutlery had arrived to the table. It took forever to get servers attention when we needed something. The poor service tarnished the entire experience. Won't be back.

Very disappointed. Food was not good. We were charged 1000 peso for a shot of tequila(they don't tell you the price in advance). Then we were asked to add more tips, even though the service was bad too.

I had an exceptional dining experience at La casa de los platos, and it all began with the warm and welcoming staff. Our server, Abraham, was not only attentive but also incredibly friendly. His excellent suggestions added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal, and one recommendation, in particular, stood out – the Lobo Cocktail.

I mentioned my preference for bitter cocktails over sweeter ones, and Abraham suggested the Lobo Cocktail, which turned out to be a brilliant choice. This exquisite concoction was a delightful fusion of a Negroni and a smoky margarita. With its refreshing and perfectly balanced flavors, it left a lasting impression. I can't recall all the ingredients, but mezcal, grapefruit juice, basil, Aperol, and a few other secret components combined to create a truly memorable drink. I highly recommend trying it.

Now, onto the food. We started with the guacamole, and it was a burst of incredible flavors. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The Chile Nogada was a pleasant surprise. Instead of the pine nuts and pomegranate seeds being inside the filling, they were skillfully sprinkled on top, adding a delightful crunchiness and bite to the dish. The deep-fried parsley was a unique and tasty twist on this classic dish, and all the flavors harmonized perfectly.

The grilled chicken with grilled veggies was outstanding. Both were cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef's expertise. We couldn't have asked for a better main course.

For dessert, we decided on the Flan de Elote. While it may not have been the most visually appealing dish, the flavors were spot on. It was a sweet ending to our meal.

Unfortunately, we were on a time crunch and had to rush through our lunch. However, I will definitely make it a point to return when I'm in town. I also want to commend the management for accommodating my partner, who had recently undergone back surgery, by providing a cushion for added comfort.

La casa de los platos has left a lasting impression on me, not only for its delectable food and cocktails but also for the exceptional service and thoughtful touches like the cushion. It's a dining experience I look forward to repeating in the future. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a memorable visit.

Awesome view/decoration and tasty food. However, the attitude of the waiter was unbelievable.

Waiter kept pushing us to order without giving us time to choose (had to tell him to wait twice), then got mad when we ordered something different from what he recommended.

The service was regular, but the waiter wanted more money (tips) and tried to get the amount he wanted by blackmail me using cheap lies (unacceptable behavior).

It is a shame this restaurant has waiter behaving this way, it definitely affects clients' experience.

Ambience of the place was good, however the music was so loud and I cannot hear my friends at the table. As for the food, it was just ok, the highlight for me was the guacamole that they did in front of us. One final gripe that I have was that the waiter was so pushy, even with the tip, which kinda turned me off and not max out my review score.

Lovely ambience. Food portions were good. My ribeye tacos were not as flavorful as I had anticipated but they were not bad. The desert didn't taste fresh. My waiters provided great service, until he asked if I was sure I didn't want to tip him more.
