I've been on two day trips with OvRride from NYC to Belleayre ski resort. Had a great time on both! The bus was clean and comfortable, everything was on time, and logistics were smooth. No hassle and everyone was friendly. The free beer at the end of the day was the cherry on top!

It was a scary experience. I loved this company and made trips pre COVID-19. As the company promises that they are taking all precautions, I tried to take one trip to Windham on Wednesday. The bus was 50% capacity thus every person has two seats. Ovrride now prohibits drinking and eating on a bus to avoid infections as much as possible. Most people came alone or a pair, abd did not talk. I thought it was ok and safe.

But our return trip, a trip leader Ayden was talking so loudly to one group in a backside of the bus fir more than one hour. No one else was talking. Even with a mask there is a risk of virus spreading if someone talks very loudly. It was not possible to open a window. I asked him not to talk so loudly but he responded “I was talking to a guest to vertebrate a day, talking is not prohibited” and he continued to talk loudly for another 30mm.

I really regret my decision to take the Ovrride bus this time. May be better to wait until the pandemic is over. I really ask Override to train your trip leaders properly as they seem not understanding risks of infection. (By the way no hand sanitizer available - bring your own)

Ovride is fun! I used them to go up to hunter mountain. It’s a fun set of people and the services they offer is fabulous. They really take care, that includes free bagels during the onward trip so you don’t have to bother about breakfast and beer on the way back when you legs are hurting your body needs that necessary energy (beer) boost after skiing

My review here is not for the trip as I never had the opportunity to take it. I booked OvRide this Sunday for a solo day trip to Vermont after this major snowstorm. I confirmed with them the day before if the trip was actually happening and they said they’re pros, have done this many times, and thus the trip will go on. Woke up at 3:00 AM to prepare and received an email at 3:30 that their driver didn’t think it was safe to ride on the roads and therefore didn’t show up to work that day and was subsequently fired. Their reasoning was simply a joke; just admit the roads were too dangerous. Don’t tell me you fired some guy for having some semblance of sense and try to maintain an image or reputation. I was extremely irritated that my weekend was completely ruined but worked with them for a Monday trip (it was MLK weekend). Woke up on Monday again at 3:00 AM and put on my ski gear. As I’m heading out the door to meet the driver, I get a text at 4:00 staying that they’re running an hour late because of some bus issues. Keep in mind that their pickups start at 3:30 AM so there were some poor souls waiting in -1 weather for an hour or more. I emailed them to see what the situation was and they reassured me that they’ll make it to the mountain on time by “making it up on the highway”. Yea, this isn’t a flight where you can make up time en route. This is a bus that seems to be having problems plowing down a highway after a major snowstorm. No thank. I lost trust in them and asked them to cancel my trip immediately. Never again.
