A quiet, shaded spot in view of the Houston skyline. Big trees and beds of flowers!

It is an ideal spot to sit and have a picnic with the panoramic sight of downtown! It is also windy and when the humidity is lower than 40% it feels just like the beach.

I like this little park! Specially the outer loop bc you can hop on it after climbing the suicide hill on Carruth pedestrian Prg then head down the stairs and under the bridge and back down to the police memorial and then repeat the suicide hill again.

Furthermore, the stairs heading back down to the narrow trail are some of the most steep ones in the park. You can get an incredibly good workout here and it is usually empty bc very few people know about it.

During cold winters when it snows, the steep hill at the Carruth Pedestrian Prg near this park is a well known spot among local to sledge downhill.

Really cute park in downtown, lots of walking and biking trails, and nature. The vibe is really chill, the views scenic, and it's always a great place to get some exercise. Awesome views of downtown and the neighborhood is also beautiful.

We looked for a long time for a place to have our picnic in the cool shade without people around and this was the little haven we found.
