Incheon International Airport Terminal 2

I will included a review for the airport rail. We arrived in Incheon at 6PM and made a rush to Noryangjin Fish Market for my wife's craving for a live king crab. We had to pick up a wifi device and checked into the capsule hotel so it was about 7:30 when we got to start our journey to Noryangjin which is like 44 miles away. The rail was clean and on time! Easy to Navigate! We got to the fish market by 8:45! Eating was done at 1030. By 1145, we were back at Terminal 2. The fair was 4650 won, which is like 3 USD. The best experience in riding rails ever.

I decided for an overnight layover at South Korea to see parts of the city but due to the visa requirement I chose to just stay at the airport and explore terminal 2 instead. I got out close to 6pm and was excited to try the Hotel Transit for the night, which is just inside Terminal 2. Sadly, a sign outside their entrance door shows that all rooms are sold out. I still decided to check if anyone has cancelled their reservation. No such luck. According to the lady at the counter, they have been sold out for months. So, make sure to make an early reservation, if you do plan to experience the transit hotel. They, however, do have a transfer lounge, which is free and has little cubicle separator for each of the lounge beds. They had quite a few beds left when I went. I wanted to leave some of my belongings on the bed to reserve a spot, but, I didn't because according to some reviews it may not be safe. Yet, I did see some beds with just bags on them. Either they are risk takers or they have friends/family watching their bags for them. It was still too early to sleep so I walked and explored some more. I walked up to the end of the side of terminal 2. I went down the escalator and enjoyed the artwork made of glass. There I met a fellow traveller and she told me that it's best to stay at the airport because it took her long hours to go to the city via train (she had 6 hours layover). We separated ways then I tried some of the food at the airport. I didn't realize that most restaurants and shops closed at night (closed 8-9pm). Most of the food were gone by that time too. I tried the c&deli teriyaki chicken, coffee@works baumkuchen and k-food rice cake with chocolate (yum). I filled up my water jug by the water station near the restroom (I doubted the water a little but it didn't make my stomach hurt:)). Since most of the stores have closed, I walked back to the transfer lounge and went to the shower area. A sign posted outside the door- states "closed: operation hours 8:00-20:00". I failed one more time. I honestly thought everything at the airport will be open 24 hours. But they do have restrooms everywhere and there's one right infront the transfer lounge- there I brushed my teeth, washed my face and freshened up a little bit. I then looked for a spot in the transfer lounge and rested for the night. I placed my bags right next to me on the bed. It was not a restful sleep but good enough:). I woke up around 530am and found some people seated by the corners, on the floor waiting for a lounge bed. Since shower opens at 8am, I freshened up a bit in the restroom then walked to look for food and do some shopping. Most stores open around 7am. If you ever do get to the airport during sun rise- they do have a spot that looks so pretty. Try to look for it:) While looking for food, I saw a line at the pop up store. The guy suggested the korean fried sticky rice. It was freshly made and was indeed so good. I also did get the Everyday Fresh Juice (strawberry). After that I went shopping. My friend asked me to look for etude bb cream/touch in sol but they didn't have those brands in the airport. They did have banila co. My friend then just asked me to buy her banila co clean it zero. The lady at the counter patiently explained to me their promo- buy 6 get one free, buy 1 more then she will provide another free product. I love freebies so I did what she said. I have Christmas/bday gifts for my friends now;). She did reiterate not to open the duty free products, which she placed in a sealed plastic bag, atleast until I reach my final destination (protocol). It was getting close to 8 am so I decided to go the shower area- good thing it was not packed. They have free liquid shampoo and soap. There's a hair blower by the sink too. But you do have to have your own towel to dry off. I had 1 carry on and 1 personal bag with me which fit okay inside the shower room. I showered really quick and went to my gate by 830 am to catch the 845 am boarding. I made it. Overall it was a fun and good experience. I won't mind doing it again;)

Love this airport with so many options, even budget ones. There's a 7-11 and a Food Court at the 4th floor that opens 7-ish. You might see a robot roaming around to give you directions to your gate, help you find shopping spots and restaurants, and heck even take a selfie with it. There are several lounges available, and even a nap zone. Just make sure you bring a travel plug adapter if you want to use your own charger, or if you're cool with just a usb port or wireless charging, they are available next to the seats everywhere.

The airport is clean, organized, Instagram friendly and nice. Incheon Terminal 2 has 5 levels. Arrivals Hall at first level. Department hall and check in at level 5. You can buy mobile SIM card at arrival hall from the telecom company between gate 2 and gate 3. After the departure hall immigration check points, there are a lot of shop such as food court cafe, gift shop, etc, to pass your time while waiting for your flight.

One of the best airports I’ve ever been to. Food selections are good. Commuter lounge. Like shopping in a lux mall if you want some duty free Prada, IWC, etc.

3 star as i had night flight, trying to get food but all closed after 8-9pm :(( no vending machine either.. just water dispenser in front of the toilet... nothing to see really at night :(( just had to play with my phone only. Based on the interactive map, the food court is open until 10pm, but it is not true.. they r only open until 8pm. And the only one that is open until 9pm is coffee@works, should have bought the food from outside just now. I suggest to put vending machines in the airport. Maybe if you have morning/afternoon flight should be no problem.

It is a beautiful airport. It's very clean. They have robots that can greet you and guide you around. There is a duty free pick up, a premium lounge, a children's play area and a slew of gift shops. Love the design of the building with floor to ceiling windows allowing a view of the airplanes. This airport connects to the subway and the train.

Beautiful Airport , Korean people are very nice & helpful.

There are nice stores here , as well a Starbucks.

Korean Airlines is partnered with Delta , and the service is very good too.

Edit : there is a bit of walking , but for anyone older or with a tight connecting flight , you may need extra assistance with getting to your connecting flight. You may also have to wait to get assigned a seat at Airport , which is something new , but check ahead of time with the Airlines directly.
