The Bakery

A really great place to come in the morning before work. I’ve only had the baked goods, but they’re all great. The bagels, for me, are the perfect size and they taste really good! The only reason it’s lost one star is because it’s just a little expensive. $8 for a bagel with cream cheese and a latte (both delicious), and the croissants are like $3.50 each. *however* all the other cafes in NP are the same, so maybe there’s an external factor I’m just unaware of that makes it pricey. My main issue is that there is never any challah anymore… I would come every weekend to a boat load of loaves and pick the best and buy it and share with friends- now even in the mornings, there is MAYBE one loaf. I believe they make it on Fridays, but they used to on Saturday too if I’m not mistaken- regardless, I hardly see it anymore. As a Jewish man, I’m really hoping the new ownership cares for the Jewish community in the way the last owners did. Maybe I just happen to always come right before they put new loaves out, but just figured I’d note this. Final note- it’s not wheelchair accessible. Yes, you can get in the building on a wheelchair, but during cold months there is no where to sit downstairs- and no elevator. Similar with some other reviews I’ve seen, the bakery is amazing and has potential to be perfect, just with a few minor improvements :)

I feel like the food would taste better if they had a grill instead of 2 microwaves. The everything-bagels they had out were incredibly small and dry, and the wait time is too long for a simple breakfast food. All of this also overpriced as well! Looks like it can be a really great, cozy spot if things were done better.

an amazing experience here. everyone is lovely, the coffee is delicious, and there are some great gluten free options. a very nice space to sit, outside and inside

I love this place! Good food, friendly staff, nice environment to work or study above the shop. They have great bagel, rugelach, and croissant and well as other pastries!

There are gems within the bakery and just outside it! Everything I had was delicious, including the chocolate and vanilla sandwiches cookies dipped in chocolate!

I went in early and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. I come here often for their cookies but it was a bit early for that.

I came back to the Bakery after leaving a 3 star review a few months ago. Much different environment this time around. The staff were as nice as ever. Really nice employees! The food is still delicious & there are some new offerings on the menu. The empinadas are really good. The condition of the restaurant was noticeably cleaner… like a lot cleaner which was my gripe on my 3 star review. The new ownership is really giving the place a fresh new feel. Definitely check out the new Bakery!
