Had a horrible experience here with some lady who decided to scream and yell at children who were just trying to enjoy their time at the playground. She was clearly on something at the time. Horrible horrible.
I enjoy going out just to get fresh air and get peace of mind. Last Thursday, I was out there, and I was targeted because I am black. I will not be going back again. Racism
Super nice park, even had a food truck there for people on lunch
Great little park in the middle of the river. Good spot for the dogs to cool off on our road trip. There's a little museum but we didn't go in.
Pro tip. Porta potties only. Keep driving even if you need bio break. There is a Kwik Trip just down the road to your left.
Lived here 23yrs and never stopped in. Met a Bald Eagle, a guy selling lures, and other kayakers. Great place for photos.
Fun place to take the kids for some up close and personal interaction with the animals. Don't forget to buy the feed, carrots and biscuits at the gift shop before heading out.
