Hathroi fort was built by Meena Dynasty Jaipur was originally built by Meena Dynasty. Unlike other popular forts in Jaipur this fort is located in the centre of the city, there is a temple in the fort top from there you can have a very good view of the city. Meena Kings ruled eastern rajasthan from the start of the civilization. Eastern rajasthan was knows as Matsya Kingdom.

This Fort is also built by Meena Rulers. Jaipur was originally built by Meena Kings before the invading Rajputs. Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Kuntal Garh Fort, Amagarh Fort, they all are historical evidence of Meena Rule. Meena Kings ruled eastern rajasthan from the start of the civilization. Eastern rajasthan was knows as Matsya Kingdom.

it's a secluded place though people have managed there housing inside the fort walls. There's a temple constructed in the top of the fort from where you can also have a beautiful view of the city.

It's a decent place, worth going to if you're nearby. Not specially just for a visit here.
There's a temple inside that you can see.

The fort is in very dilapidated state. It is not under government or any trust. And 10 families are staying inside the fort. Few of them are the descendants of Hindu sadhu who was made to stay here since it houses an old Hindu temple. The walls are still intact however sign of poor maintenance is visible.

I happened to make a visit to this ancient fort located just opposite to the Raj tourism office building. It’s an amazing fort. I was told that the king had got this fort made for his staff who were his army heads. Cooks. Etc and they used to live here with their families. Unfortunately it’s occupied by some families who have been living there since ages. The fort should be restored by the local ASI. tourism department and preserved. Or else it will fall apart in few years from now.
