Of the many wonderful eye-catching buildings in Dubai, the Etihad Museum building is one of the most iconic and seemingly simplistic yet very dramatic.
Inside there are many individual and collective design points to the structure and each has a reason and significance.
Walking through the history and story being told by the static and interactive displays helps you to appreciate what a momentous event this records at the end of the 1960s and start of 1970s.
It would be easy to an outsider such as myself to disbelieve it was possible to get such a strategic agreement in the Emirates at that time in history. However, it is clear that the statesmanship shown and negotiations with a good deal of compromise brought together one of the most important agreements to occur roughly 50 years ago.
During my early morning visit I was able to leisurely wander around the exhibits and read or 'experience' so much information and feel like it was a personal story being shared with me.
Towards the end I was fortunate to be offered a guided visit to some of the more historical parts of the museum, my thanks to Katrina for helping me understand more about the official office, dining hall and meeting room, this really finished on a high point.

This beautiful modern museum focuses on the history of UAE 🇦🇪. They have interactive elements throughout the museum to help you learn about the founders, culture, occupations and more. All information is provided in English and Arabic.
I liked the presentation of the museum, the history of how all the states of the UAE came together, I found it interesting, interactive, but the museum was a bit small. The other house is not open to the public, which is not good sign.
A suggestion: In the library they could do an activity, like a debate or a lecture, it would be interesting.

Al Etihad Museum is truly underrated. The engineering and architecture of this venue is truly breathtaking. I truly did not expect it to be this well designed and finished given the fact that it took only two years for its completion.

The team that works at the museum is the sweetest you'll ever meet. I am very proud of their work and always ready to help, and they also provided walking tours to the union flag and other memorial buildings at 11 am and 5 pm.

I feel the museum is in need of more historical information and experiences as it's a bit short on artifacts.

Overall very pleased with the my visit.

I am looking forward to my next visit in winter to enjoy the beautiful gardens.

beautiful museum with sleek modern architecture and a great showcasing of the history of the UAE and its rulers. the museum combines art, digital media, and other mediums to explain the history of the unification of the UAE and the rulers of each emirate. the staff throughout was super friendly and helpful. there are restrooms and prayer room available. the parking is underground and there is an elevator. there is also a café on the top floor that is very nice.

Good place, looks neat and fancy, It teaches history of the UAE in interactive ways such as cinema 3D models and projection. However it lacks activities , not much to do there other than learning the story of union.

The Etihad Museum historically called the Union House and formerly as the al-Diyafah Palace and the Jumeirah Guesthouse,is a museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. It holds everything from old passports to personal artifacts of the rulers of United Arab Emirates.
the museum does an excellent job at telling it. Beautifully designed, airy halls present visitors a multitude of interactive displays and well-produced short films. depicting the founding leaders and the formation of union of UAE. It encasses a digitally brilliant display of uae's history and a detailed description of their leaders and achievements..Quite huge and clean in architecture..Parking is ample.. Restaurant is available by lake side..The staff was very friendly too..There was also a guided tour for the union house. The washrooms were also very well maintained..overall, a very good and informative place to spend your day..the ticket just costs 25 per adult and 20 dirhams in a group of plus 5..it was very less crowded even on weekends. It was one of the most impressive museums I've been. The building itself is worth a visit. The exhibition is very informative and interactive. I recommend this as an excellent place to visit as it does tell you the history of the country and of its union/Etihad.
