Amazing movie experience..my first movie watch in Saint-Étienne
The best of the city! The movie theater is clean, the programmation is excellent with the last movies combined with classic ones, the attendance is respectful. And a good point: many movies are on Original Voice (with french subtitles)
I had been a great fan of this theater. I had written a great review here on Google maps which you can see at the end of this post. I even have a subscription. But today...Xmas Day, of all days, I was exposed to such a shock and disappointment that I will probably avoid this place at all costs from now on. Today I wanted to invite a friend visiting from abroad and what was supposed to be a fun moment ended up being me and my guest forced to endure the front desk staff's abhorrent behavior.
We had arrived late, I admit, at the movie session, and were not allowed access, which I fully understand. I asked politely in French about their policies for accepting people as some cinemas will let you in and in order to prepare for next time. All I got was a condescending lesson served in an aggressive manner about the need to be on time, the respect to movies as if we were children or uneducated. I told him we didn't need to be preached but simply were inquiring. The staff escalated ending in him using foul dirty language. He was maybe tired, or angry at the fact that we spoke in English, or whatever else he misunderstood, but the tone and the use of foul language is not acceptable. The only reason I don't zero star this place is because they are the only place with extensive OV movies. It is obviously time they get serious competition so that such a feeling of entitlement comes to an end.
That was my review last year . "great independent and mainstream quality movies in OV. great bar at the back too". Of course, I withdraw this from now on.

The best movie theatre of St Etienne for films in English. The seatings are great, and the price are not to high !

Friendly staff, good sound, cheap, original version VOSTFR, good movies (same that in big cinema)
Real arty place. Great bar for drinks and snacks / tapas in the back, with old movies projected on the wall.
