Chamblee Charter High School

Chamblee Charter High School was the best school in Dekalb County and I just graduated this year 2018. The diversity means something to the school so much and it also speaks to where everybody comes from that's why Chamblee helped me develop relationships with other people. Coming to Chamblee in 2014 had some bumps and bruises when I didn't know anyone or know my way around the building until now since everything transpired I figured doing things myself gave me a great opportunity to have a lot experience. The administration was something to the school and I love you guys and I will miss you!

The schedules are always a mess. Instead of having a set schedule, the schedules are STILL being changed after two months. The concilling office does not see the importance of helping a child, they value time over a student's wellness. On the website the school now has the suicide prevention hotline due to more then one student taking their own life in previous years. A students mental health needs legitimate attention, not what is being provided at Chamblee. I understand that the council(s) are not therapists, but as a Highschool councilor you still have to try and help assist a student. Public schools in general, need to address the concerns of mental health. Mental health is a serious topic, but is not seen as serious or not serious enough to address. Highschool is a time in a students life were help and support will be needed. Do not continue glossing over the topic of mental health. Stop pushing the topic aside.

Chamblee Charter High was the greatest high school in Dekalb County. I graduated in the year 2016, and the level of education I got was unbelievable. The school more than prepared me for the collegial level of learning, and the surrounding area was so welcoming and great. I hope the school stays this way, but administration is caring, teaching staff is very good, overall made High School one amazing memory for me.

Well I'm giving this two stars because, one ive made friends that made me feel like im welcomed and, 2 the teachers are good and can teach. But my experience hasn't been the best. I have noticed that if you're Hispanic they'll assume you don't speak English and come from Cross Keys High School ( ckhs isnt bad btw). people look at you like an idiot and will make you feel like crap for being Hispanic.

Can I give this school a minus 100. The teachers engage in grade collusion and grade fixing. They snarckle around behind a student's back to make sure that their grades are on par with each others. They are so not for the students. This is a really bad school. The teachers do not think for themselves and the VP of Academics is a sneak who picks on certain students and pressures teachers to give them certain grades. These people do not need to be in education and are not educators. Do not even torment your child like this. This is a big warning. Do not send your child here. They may have once been something but they are not that anymore. They cheat. They may have even changed this review but I'm changing it back. Instead of teaching they tell the kids to copy homework from each other and thats the test. If the student expects instruction the teacher has no capability of doing that. This was a terrible school. I've deleted all of my negative reviews from this far back but the review was changed. In addition the counseling office at that time had German language stuff and objects all around which i equate with nazis. This is a sick place and since the rest of dekalb public schools has gotten sicker can only imagine that its sicker than usual.
