I might come at the wrong time 😄 I expect more crowded more vibe more people. I’m familiar with Asian food court market and European fresh food market which offers atmosphere of good prepared food, with attractive display, especially the vibe of eager “trying out all the shops”.
I came at noon, i followed the review and parked at the park haus with connection to the market. it was very convenient.
The restrooms are clean. The space generally was clean but not the vibe I expected. Maybe I will try another time.

Always a stop for me when Im fortunate enough to be over in Los Angeles. Perfectly placed in a bustling touristy area. I highly recommend a walk after visiting the market to see some gorgeous architecture surrounding you. Abandoned theatre’s abound will make your imagination run wild of what it must have looked and sounded like in the 50’s. I tried a new cafè I hadn’t come across on the numerous times I’d been in the past. BASTION : By Bakers Kneaded. Great double shot of espresso! Tasty pastries to boot! It was around Halloween so the festive decor added to the overall experience! Blue Bottle is a stones throw away and a great option to fuel the fire of gawking as you go go go!

The Grand Central Market was such a fun stop on our recent trip to Los Angeles. The atmosphere was busy, lively, and really fun. Plus there were yummy new smells every few feet! They have something for everyone there and many different ethnic food were represented. I was especially delighted to see the Donut Man shop there - I wanted to try their donuts but didn’t want to drive out to Glendora. They were delicious! Everything we got there was really good. My only complaint was that drinks were expensive, we couldn’t find a drinking fountain, and there wasn’t a gas station or convenience store anywhere nearby. We left parched (because I had already spent a small fortune on food and parking and wait didn’t want to spend more on a drink I could get food a dollar at 7/11). Other than that it was so fun and well worth the visit!

Foodies heaven!
No matter your craving, it appears grand central market has you covered.
Great vibe and a very casual atmosphere.
Easy walk from the metro B line (Perishing stop).
Right across the road from Angels Flight.

After a visit to the Broad museum, we were pretty hungry, so we decided to go to the Grand Central Market for some food.
It’s always a fun spot to visit people watch eat lunch eat snacks they’ve got it all. Definitely a variety of food from American to Italian Mexican Asian. Hey, serve beer in different places the restrooms they got sweets so one stop shop for delicious food.
It’s an open air market and it’s quite lively. Little busy but nothing too bad.
We are easily able to find a spot to have four of us sit and eat and enjoy our delicious Carnitas!
We ended up parking in the structure pretty much attached to the market cost was four dollars so pretty cheap and was easy to get in and out. Recommend parking in that location.

This building has 2 floors dedicated to restaurants. Come eat and check out the whole place. Food, desserts, drinks. Parking garage attached.
My husband and I sat at one of the restaurants & were told to sit elsewhere since we didn't order food from them specifically. But they had no customers and a bunch of seating. So it was a little difficult to find an open spot to sit since it was pretty packed in there.
I like the variety but they are missing an Indian restaurant in there:)
Would be cool if 1 of each culture was in there.
Also, each place is a bit expensive.

Got there about 10 minutes after they opened. It was not as busy as it gets once it’s later in the day. If you don’t want to wait around too much and have it be so crowded then I’d suggest you get there early!
It was a great atmosphere with delicious foods/desserts all around you! Every time I’ve gone to California I have enjoyed stopping by for a meal due to the experience.
Dogs are not allowed but if you get there early enough they’re not very strict about it. I had my dog in a stroller (I know) and wasn’t given any problems! Others were also walking around with their dogs but as I mentioned it wasn’t very crowded so the dogs had no issue walking around. If you go later in the day when it’s busy I’d be careful with having your dog come!
I would for sure go back and try different foods!
