Just ran in quick to go pickup a couple things from the gift shop. Was short on time, but is it’s always an exciting trip. Seeing the displays and lifestyle of rock stars is something else when I have more time I’ll go look at the exhibit again.
I came here around 20 years ago with my family and finally had the chance to come here again with my husband, who had never been. We purchased our tickets online ahead of time and went on a Thursday around noon. Parking was simple (we parked on the pier) and there was no wait to enter. The layout of the building is a bit wonky but I think that's what makes it fun. There are 6 levels containing varying artists, activities, and memorabilia. We spent two hours walking around admiring the history and listening to the music. I'm thankful we went on such a calm day! I was fearful it may be crowded but we were able to leisurely enjoy the museum. 🎶
Lots of cool stuff for rock n roll fans! Easy entry on a Monday in November, no lines, no crowds. A bit steep at $35 a head but if you can take advantage of all the films, play around in the recording “garage” and make a free sticker to “brand your band” it might be worth it. Great gift store too, but plan on spending lots of cash if you want something.
We went here after a work function and we had only a few hours to enjoy. I was asked a few times if I would come back. If people wanted to go I would go but it wouldn't be a repeat on my own. They had really cool displays and mini theaters to show you rock footage. They have assorted interactive booths so you can make your own band t-shirt, a music mix, and even learn how to play instruments. I thought that was very cool. Next time I need to keep an extra eye out for queen, rush, and black sabbath.
What an awesome way to spend a few hours! Lot's of great things to see, some interactive things also. Some spectacular memories if you've been to concerts, brought back quite a few for me. I must say I was disappointed that Aerosmith, Kiss and some others big rockers have not donated any items as of yet but I sure hope they do. Plan on taking your time and going through all the floors. So much to see! The gift shop has hundreds of items, yes it's pricey and they take no cash, cards only. I plan on going back soon. Enjoy the pics!
This is Cleveland’s most iconic building; it is a MUST place to visit. There is so much memorabilia, so many unique items on display. You can spend hours and hours browsing throughout the displays which will take you down the memory lane for sure. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is located right by the lake (Erie). Make sure to take a walk after your visit. There is limited payed parking on the street, but you can park in the parking garage next to the Grate Lake Science Center.
Awesome display of artifacts and memorabilia beginning with the onset of music history (blues, country and gospel) through rock and roll era, into pop, r&b grunge, rap, hip hop, heavy metal. Several interactive displays. In the front of the building are food trucks and 2 stages where local talent perform and you can watch for free. No parking lot so I suggest parking at the great lakes science museum garage located between museum and browns stadium. Only 13 dollars to park.
