Beautiful castle, love the first concentration camp vibes. 1944-1945 executive suite exclusivity vibes.

If you want to know more about Hanau history, you will find and read it here. It's very organized and with friendly staff. Also there's a place where your kids enjoy playing, and try costumes as they wanna be, clothes you can try but make it alive when you have a perfect make up for kids to make it more lovelier. Recommended for kids , more fun!!

Very nice exhibition with Playmobil characters showing the history of German democracy. It’s a must for the kids and also for the parents.

I came in soon after opening at 11am and stayed till closing at 6pm. Notable mention must go to their dedicated area to Brothers Grimm. This section is targeted to both adults who want to learn about Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm while also including many interactive rooms for children. You do have to walk through many of the castle rooms to reach this section (1min walk if you go there directly). I also enjoyed the extensive history of Hanau on the first floor. It was more educational than most of my classes in school. Very well laid out, without overloading with information. All of the main informational plaques were translated to English (which is a big plus if you want to learn more details about the exhibits). Germany is full of history and I enjoyed learning more about its culture and people.

Beautiful picturesque place. You can buy tickets to get inside the museum. But the park area doesn't require entry tickets. There's also a public toilet near the adjacent entrance gate area (for tourists coming from far with family and kids.. it was an added advantage).
