Anyone that fishes understands that winter fishing can be tough. We understood that we were probably in the wrong season when we took this trip, but nonetheless we decided to book with Queenstown fishing anyways. In no time at all, Simon delivered. He put us on Rainbows, Browns and Salmon. This paired with his easy going personality and his ability answer any questions we had made for a really enjoyable 3 hours. Amazing day out fishing with Simon. We competed the trifecta of Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. He was patient with us and showed us how it’s done. Spin and trawl fishing both in one trip! The sceneries was breathtaking too. For the icing on the cake, we had a sashimi of salmon on the boat.
Had a great time with Simon. Such a genuine fishing professional and an excellent tour guide with all the local knowledge. He managed get us all a fish under tough conditions. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Simon and Trevor for an amazing experience. Simon was out of town when i tried to book, so he offered for trevor to take us out. Couldnt have made a better decision. Went out for 2 hours and lost count of the fish we caught. Trevor was great fun and very knowledgable, and knows how to do a mean salmon sashimi. Great banter and perfect conditions made for a great morning on the lake. Would definitely recommend.
Simon is the captain and owner of Queenstown Fishing. When you go with the owner you know you’re going to get exceptional service and a day to delight. Simon is extremely knowledgeable about the area and had all the gear and tackle we needed to be successful. He brought us to a few areas to fish and told us everything we wanted to know about the area, the fishing and so much more. As someone who organizes tours and events for small groups, I will definitely be adding this to my repertoire of must do activities in Queenstown.

His unique knowledge and laid back attitude definitely made our fishing trip one of the top highlights of our trip to this wonderful country.
