Wonderful visit to this Palace grounds in Muscat, Oman. Very well planned area with other government buildings. There are a couple of large parking lots where one can park - a short walk to the Palace gates. The general public is not allowed entry on the Palace grounds.

I went at night. If you don’t have your own transport, maybe ask a cab driver to stick around for a half hour or so you can walk around the gorgeous grounds (that’s what I did).

It was lit up and looking pristine.

Make sure you take a short walk to the left to view the Al-Mirani Fort. It is stunning. Also, talk with the local guards. They were very friendly and made for some great conversation.

You can have a feel of the warmth and simplicity of Oman rulers here. ... The palace is cute and really captivating... The red color paving stones and tarmac is truly matching with the architecture of the location...
Entry to the palace is restricted, but can go close to the gate.. and if you are fortunate enough, you can have a chat with the straight forward and smiling soldiers protecting the whole compound

You may think you can see the palace by the name but the reality is that you will have to be far far away and prevented by two big gates. You can't go near. Nor you can take a clear picture with the house. You can take picture with the gate of the place which looks like you are in a jail or captivated, not a touristic place. Waste of time. Outside around is nice though. But main attraction the place is really not worth visiting.

Good place to see. We can’t enter into the palace but we can see and enjoy the beauty from outside. There are gardens with lots of flowers and its very beautiful.

One of the to-do things to be added in the visit list. An elegant look of flag Palace. I enjoyed the view and took some pictures. Bring your own water bottle, side paths have plants and trees which makes your pathway easier and cool.
