Great spot for sunsets and when clear a great view of Rainier
Unbelievable 360° views. Perfect walk with ADA/child/dog friendly beach & parking.
GORGEOUS views if you’re willing to walk to the water. Parking is not available very closeby.
This is one of the best parks in Seattle with something for everyone one.. interesting and beautiful hiking routes, biking lanes, play grounds, picnic areas, beach and beautiful views… what more can you ask for
Discovery Park beach is a beautiful and serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The expansive shoreline offers breathtaking views of the Puget Sound, and the surrounding nature creates a tranquil ambiance. The beach itself is clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot for a leisurely walk or a picnic. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have more facilities and amenities available for visitors, such as restrooms and food options. Nonetheless, Discovery Park beach is a wonderful destination to reconnect with nature and enjoy a peaceful day by the water.
Was a good hike. We went the long way. Ended up being a three mile hike round trip. The trip was definitely worth it. Most of the hike is shaded and some minor inclines/declines that get the heart rate up. When we got to the actual beach it was calm and very few people went to the section we went to so it was more isolated and calm.
Great place to visit. There wasn't too many people when I went but it was a little windy. I took a few trails to get to the lighthouse since I parked in the north lot.
