Canadian landmark, right here in Halifax. Checked this beautiful spot off my bucket list on a windy, sunny Saturday afternoon in mid October. About 45 minutes drive from downtown Halifax, it feels and looks exactly like the posters and ads you'd see on media. Usually super busy with tourists, getting the right picture with fewer people in the background is a challenge. There are so many small shops around serving local food, there's also a souvenir shop which offers snacks, coffee, gifts and a washroom. Must visit place!
It is beautiful place to visit in the Halifax region. It is surrounded by water and nature which gives calmness and peace. You can visit there anytime. I went there at night. It was beautiful. The lighthouse was looking awesome. The sound of the waves touching the shores was calming. There was little cold out there because of the weather but it was nice to visit there.

Simply a lighthouse with a breathing view. Definitely a great place to visit at sunset and sunrise. This is a simple attraction and don't expect anything but a view, a very stunning view though.
Tip : Please stay off the black rocks close to the ocean. There is no coming back!

Scenic. Fantastic photo opportunities. Stunning. Free parking so please don’t park on the locals drive. Nice boardwalk which allows for tons of Kodak moments. Lots of warning signs about climbing on the rocks. Be aware.
The views are wonderful, although we had a lot of fog / sea mist when we visited it was still a great experience and fun to walk / climb along the large rocks, mind your step though and be careful not trip or fall.
Great for all ages and everyone can enjoy the views and sound of the crashing waves whether you go out on to the rocks or stay at the viewing platform.
A lovely place to visit, free parking (which was very surprising) and a decent visitor centre with lots of helpful brochures and friendly staff. Toilets were clean and tidy too.

Just as advertised! A gorgeous view from atop of the smooth, rounded rocks at the base of the lighthouse. You can see for miles and miles around!
The lighthouse is relatively easy to walk up to, but if you can't, there are a number of boardwalk points to get a good look at it.
You must be extremely careful not to venture out too close to the ocean as the rocks get quite slick and the waves do occasionally jump up high enough to grab you. Apparently each year some people who do not heed the warnings unfortunately pay the price with their lives. There is a security guard there now with a whistle patrolling to warn people.
The interesting thing is how fast the weather can change without notice. In my photos you will see clear and sunny photos, followed by foggy ones. These were taken on the same day, within 15 minutes of each other!

Loved Peggy's Cove! It is a very unique place to visit. The lighthouse is lovely and the surrounding rocks are fun to walk/climb on to check out the views. Fun for all ages but a reminder to stay off the black rocks as security will blow a whistle at you. Apparently, 15 people a year die as they are swept off the rocks. They will NOT go in after you. Be mindful of where you walk, enjoy the beautiful views and the smell of the ocean.
This site is absolutely breathtaking. You can spend hours here just taking in the fresh air and watching the waves.

For parking, I'd suggest parking at the info desk and then walking to the lighthouse. This grants you the opportunity to wander through the village and little shops along the way.
If you're lucky, you'll also see a shark! The video you see is a young Great White shark that also made the news as a fisherman hooked the same one just 45 minutes earlier.
