Fascinating journey to delve into the rich history and lifestyle of UAE leaders – an unparalleled opportunity for a meaningful exploration. Don’t forget to be a part of the Gahwa tasting ceremony which takes place every alternate hour.

This was a very good experience for me. I have stayed in UAE for almost 4 years now and it has gone pretty quickly. You just can’t know how time flys, Anw back to the topic, this event was magnificent if you want to know about the History and Culture of this beautiful country that many of us call home. This is the event for you. I did not know much about it but when I got the chance to attend. I was amazed by the beauty of the culture. You will realise I say culture a lot because I guess that is what the event I attended was about.

Let’s talk about the men dancing 🕺🏻 they do it with passion, it’s so calm and soothing looking at them sing and dance. I was like woowww… it reminded me of my own culture back at home and was like this world is huge and people are so different. Anw that was my thought process.

I loved every bit of my evening at this event. Also they had some old cars (antiques) and also we got treated to some Arabic coffee and tea. I would write a book but this is enough.
See you in the next one… bye 👋

we went to qasr al hosn festival on a thursday, we parked in the VIP parking which was 60 DHS for (3hours) each additional hour you pay 10 DHS , the festival is very nice, the culture is absolutely beautiful and it was super crowded, i highly recommend going there early when it opens at 4 PM and before the night time because it gets super busy

The Dhow Monument in Abu Dhabi is not just a monument; it is a maritime symbol that echoes the seafaring heritage and trade legacy of the United Arab Emirates. As one gazes upon its elegant form and intricately designed sails, the monument unfolds as a tribute to the maritime traditions that have played a pivotal role in the nation's history.

This monument, with its graceful silhouette and waterfront setting, is more than a sculpture; it's a nod to the resilience and ingenuity of the seafaring communities that have contributed to the UAE's prosperity. From the meticulous craftsmanship to the symbolic sails capturing the winds of history, the Dhow Monument stands as a symbol of Abu Dhabi's enduring connection to its maritime roots.

May the Dhow Monument endure as a beacon along the city's waterfront, inviting residents and visitors to appreciate the historical significance of the sea in shaping the UAE's identity. The ongoing efforts to preserve and showcase this monument ensure that it remains a point of cultural pride and reflection for those who pause to admire its maritime elegance.

To the artists, designers, and caretakers of the Dhow Monument, may your dedication to celebrating the nation's maritime heritage be acknowledged and celebrated. May the monument continue to stand as a testament to the vital role played by the sea in the UAE's journey, reminding all who encounter it of the nation's deep connection to its maritime legacy.
Really enjoyed my visit here yesterday . Very interesting and informative exhibition about the origins of Abu Dhabi. Would definitely recommend Qasr Al-Hosn for anyone interested in learning about the history of Abu Dhabi and Emirati culture. The House of Artisans is worth a visit too if you are interested in Emirati culture and crafts.
Thanks Qasr Al Hosn for letting us in and a pleasure to gather those old equipment displayed in Al Qasr Al Hosn.

My favorite place to take Tourists to. Gives you a great insight into the History of the Capital and the Ruling family. Also worth visiting House of Artisans; a beautiful space that introduces you to UAEs traditional crafts.

Beautifully presented, kept and restored to perhaps get a feel for ‘the real UAE / Abu Dhabi’. Staff are amazing and the whole thing is incredibly well executed and leaves you with a real sense of fulfilment from the very 1st settlers to present day. Coffee ceremony in the artisan building also worth it and very affordable!

The Dhow monument located at the crossroads at Marina breakwater tells us the history of UAE's heritage, traditions and early occupation of ancestors when majority of the inhabitants settled on the shores of Arabian gulf were engaged in fishing and pearl diving as their primary occupation for their livelihood.
Those were the days when technology was in it's premature era and discovery of oil was not struck.
During those days, boats for fishing and pearl diving were made from wood by talented craftsmen and was an herculean task which took months to build a boat.
The dhow (wooden boat) reminds us of the times and hardships our ancestors have gone through and also throws light on the evolution of modern day transportation.
In the neighbourhood of the dhow monument are other places of interest such as pearl monument, heritage village, marina mall, marina breakwaters, UAE flagpole and Abu Dhabi theatre.

Dhow Monument in Abu Dhabi. Located opposite Marina Mall area.
It's a place to visit for sure when in Al Ain ,its so peaceful and authentic.
Have a walk along the farms and see palm trees and beautiful gardens .
The place is so tranquil and the old tree at the entrance had seen a lot in the past and can share a story if you know how to listen .
The place is one of germs of Al Ain for sure

Well accessible on the road side
Good place for photos
Also known as Hili watch tower
Interesting and quiet place, but still missing on turistic information. There are other similar places nearby easier to reach and with info about their history.
It's a good little fortification near Oasis. Currently closed for renovation so we could not go inside. Not worth a visit if you cant get it. The facade is similar to other forts in Al Ain so nothing special to visit. Ideal for photo sheet as usually there is no one around and you have the entire place (outside) for yourself.

Amazing place! I went there for a photo shoot and i have to say that its PERFECT for pictures! Alot of people dont know where it is so u wont find alot of people there (which i loved). And just a few yards away u find the Oasis of palm trees which is also very nice!
I highly recommend people to go there...
Enjoy the history of the country well displayed in several different rooms. Exhibition covers everyday lifestyle and home ambience of the time the family was living in the palace.
A very nice place to have good time there and see the historical things there..
Very interesting place. The fort is still under renovation and a little difficult to get to.
One can roam around the fort but there are no exhibits. Also be careful when walking on the second floor. The keeper mentioned to us that the floor is not fully supported, thus one should walk close to the walls to avoid breaking through the floor.
Like all historic forts in UAE it is well maintained and offers the mystic of wishing you could have seen it in its heyday.
