Best park that looks like a windows xp wallpaper.
Our visit at Ulriksdal was so much fun, we had the best guide ever(do not remember her name but she was blond and petit), she was engaged, knowledgeable and funny. She woke up my curiosity about the Swedish royals. If you can get a tour with her, you will not regret it!
Nice location to have picnics with family, to walk.
Fina grindar. Men inget att åka långt för, men värt att stanna till lite extra om man ändå kommer från Haga Norra och ta in denna historiska plats.

Ulriksdal Palace is located on the shores of Lake Edsviken. It has to offer not only a large complex of parks with Carl Milles sculptures or cafes, but we can also visit its rooms. A tour of Ulriksdal Palace gives the visitor an exciting insight into interior design from the 17th to the 20th century. Several of the rooms on display were created for Charles XV by Fredrik W. Sholander. The tour is in Swedish or English. You must buy a ticket in advance for 120 SEK on the website:

Visiting the palace takes about 45 minutes. The ticket price also includes a visit to the conservatory. We can spend most of the day in the palace and park complex and it will be a very nice time. I wish you good weather.

It is said to be a historical site. Not very appealing. However it is interesting to see a landmark based on Chinese architecture in Sweden. It's an octagonal pavilion. The pillars are made from wood. Each of the side has a dragon made on it. It's also said that there were brass balls hanging from the dragons, which worked as chimes when wind blows. They are missing now. Would like if they can add this to the structure now.
An old house located within hagaparken. It's a private property and cannot be visited from inside.

Interesting octagonal pagoda with a metallic roof and wooden columns. It has dragon heads and there was an octagonal table in the middle (it's no longer there). It's a beautiful piece of architecture but the little path leading here is a bit tricky, so maybe you decide to skip this if your mobility is not 100%.
A very pitoresque ruins of a never finished palace
Such a nice palace to walk around. There is a small cafe serving fresh juice and tasty cakes. The cafe has both outdoor and indoor seatings. The tables are in the shade of big trees over looking the big yard. It is perfect for family and a nice date.
Ligger i ett trevligt område. (Haga parken) Väl värd ett besök.

Krånglig stig upp till platsen. Upplevde inga "historiska vingslag".

Hade nog blivit en ganska rejäl byggnad men färdigställdes aldrig utan man kom väl bara så långt som grunden som är kvar nu.
Men ett trevligt ställe att besöka om man ändå är i parken.
Ligger väl lite undangömd men finns ju utmarkerad på kartan över området.
Finns ju även resterna av en gammal stallgrund i närheten men den finns det knappt något synligt kvar av.

Ligger i ett fint område och blir ett lite roligt stopp på promenaden. Ligger lite undangömt och är så långt ifrån exploaterat som det kan vara.

A lovely place to spend a day. The area is beautiful and calm and very enjoyable for picnics with family and kids. Only drawback is you will not be able to find any shop nearby. Public transport is not that common in the area, but I loved to walk to place.
I was here today. A fantastic place with very good views and walking spots. The cafeteria was really good and I could choose between different things to eat and drink. There were plenty of places to seat and take a break. A calm environment to forget all stress and keep calm. I took a lot of pictures and enjoyed every minute.
Amazing place for a relaxed stroll or picnic by the palace and by the water. It's a huge and beautiful area, and is usually quite empty because it isn't as "popular" as the other palaces.
