I order a plate for take out on Sunday around 7:00pm.

I can tell you that this is the worst Amir I went about the food quality.

My shish taouk plate has no salad and I got half rice and chicken of what they served at other Amir.

They don't deserve tips.
Extremely disappointed.

Amir restaurant is an absolute must-visit. This place offers a delicious mix of authentic flavors, generous portions, and unbeatable freshness. Their Shawarma is tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.
Service is quick, and the staff is friendly, which is a big plus.
If ur mouth-watering shawarma and chicken shish taouk Amir is the place to go. It’s the kind of spot that will keep you coming back for more.

Liked the ambiance & the staff are so lovely, the food was good ( not wow)

The cake has to be more rich in flavour ( tried the chocolate), the taste like a birthday cake !

The espresso coffee is pricey , 2 sips for 4$ !

Would highly recommend this place. Many Shawarma places when you eat the pita it leaks at the end. This Shawarma place not going to lie made sure that didn't happen. Very good food would recommend it.
This was a nice surprise 🤝 had the falafel pita 🥙 slices of cheese pizza and olive pizza and spicy fries with garlic mayo. That mayo was so good lol 😂 we put it on everything! On the pizza 🍕 on the fries 🍟 on the pita 🥙

I want try their other sauces! They had like 10 choices.

It was real good! I forgot to take pictures 😅

The service was nice, they clerks were attentive and friendly.

Place was packed! The community was vibrant ☺️ it was beautiful to see all the families getting a nice kosher meal 🤝 god bless everyone there.

Best pasta!! Went for my daughters birthday we had pasta and pizza. Drinks were very good, appetizers were very good. Pasta was excellent. They even gave us a slice of cake with candles to celebrate my daughters birthday. A must try. Parking is available on the streets. A terrace is open in the summer.

My dad dragged us all the way from NJ to come here. Spent 30 minutes wandering to find the place but it was literally love at first bite. Meat is cooked perfectly, generous portions, so many options. We ended up coming back here like three days straight. I’m back in Jersey and still craving this, so here I am writing a review months later because I miss it so much.
The best greek food ever I would love to give 100/10 they make you really happy with food and friendly staff Loved it

Excellent food. Excellent everything to be honest.
We sat outside on the terrace. The dining room inside is very nice as well. Service was excellent.
The calamari and pizza were amazing.
The pasta as well. Food was a 10.
Tiramisu was good but not the best i had.
Will definitely be back.
Saw a cockroach climbing the walls while we were waiting for our food. My girlfriend got the calamari platter and it was slimy, tasted off, and her fries were undercooked. My gyro was good although the fries were under seasoned. However we both had stomach aches all night from the food. Staff was very nice, but overall a regrettable and haunting experience.
Tasty food, good prices. The falafel are so stuffed with toppings you'll have a hard time standing up when you're done. Perfect food to not be able to work after lunch.

Boustan is hands down my favorite shawarma spot! The food is consistently delicious, affordable, and prepared quickly, making it a great go-to for a satisfying meal. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, even during busy times, and they work efficiently to get your order ready. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or looking for something tasty and filling, Boustan never disappoints! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I had to share how much we loved Village Grec. Our team was working on a project nearby, and we decided to try this spot. We ended up eating here every single day for a week! The food is amazing—authentic Greek flavors that really taste like they come from a family recipe. Everything we tried was packed with flavour and always hit the spot. If you’re in the area, definitely give it a go. It’s a real gem!

Service was amazing. The calamari are tops, loved the white sauce, not so much their red sauce but my 8 yrs old ate some. I had the veal parm , did not like the taste or texture. Had the burrata and the cavatelli burruta, both very tasty and fresh. Great appearance and plating . Would go back.

The amount of food is very good in relation to the price, however I ordered the mixed one and it came with more rice than meat and vegetables, in the end I ended up leaving the rice because it was too much, I think they should balance the portions, I felt that they want to save costs by filling you with rice, everything else was delicious and they close late which is convenient if you get hungry at night

As an out-of-towner, I walked by this place at lunch time and it was quite packed so I decided to stop in. There’s like a dozen or so kebab / shawarma places in this 1mi radius so this one got me.

I thought it was good. The chicken was delicious, along with the garlic sauce and babaghanoush. A pretty beige meal. I wish I got more veggies. I got my meal at around 2 and was literally stuffed for the entire day, until breakfast the next morning.
We had a very delicious pizza there.
The quality was so good, fresh with a warm thin crust.
The server was a nice gentleman.
We sat outside but the indoors looked clean, and chic with a wooden oven, where they make the pizzas.

Was there this week and service was slow and falafel was dry and no place to sit inside and bees and bugs all around outside. How can a pizza place especially in Montréal have no place to sit inside?!!? Unbelievable.
Old place was better. Change isn’t always good. Especially for the customers or former customers.
Came here last night on a whim after a flight from Vancouver and the food here was delicious!

Great portions given the price, the service was lovely, and super tasty dishes. The atmosphere and vibes are the place are amazing as well. I would recommend sitting on the patio if the weather permits. Would definitely come here again.
My son wanted to eat lasagna on his birthday, we went to this place. They sold us the biggest lasagna it was cold inside, no cheese, only tomato sauce in excess. I never recommend going to this place. Expensive and bad service.

Well , best shawarma I'm literally ready to Bett on it and go try a spot that can beat this but.... most likely won't find one . It's 10/10 food 10/10 quantity really don't have nothing about this beside good things .you should go try it you truly won't be disappointed plus it's onw by a Montreal family hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did . The atmosphere is 3 stars because it's not like a fancy restaurant it's a cute fast food it's clean and comfortable to dine in

Found this place after coming with the kids from Ottawa and spending the day at Le TAZ nearby. Delicious chicken, tasty sauces, and reasonable prices. Service was super friendly and helpful. Loved their cabbage salad. Fresh potatoes for the shawarma poutine! We will be back next time we come to Montreal!

AMAZING FOOD & DRINK FLAVOURS!! Tried this place for the first time today! We bought some unique drinks and 3 plates (falafel & chicken) & a large chicken poutine! The food is BEYOND amazing!! You can tell they have plenty of experience! I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the city!
I travelled from Kitchener Ontario to
have a donair pita. WOW! I've been travelling throughout the country and the donair I had at the Village Grec is the best in the country ( in my own opinion). Congratulations!!!!
Amazing food and service. Our waitress was young, professional and funny. Wanted to go for a while, but never had the occasion. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the restaurant.

So glad the Original is still here. Made a stop specifically for this on my way home to Toronto and it did not disappoint! That Garlic Sauce is still as good as I remembered!
I’ve been multiple times, and I love their food and service. It’s delicious, and the potatoes are sweet and flavorful. Their garlic aïoli is stellar with a good amount of garlic in there. And their sauces are also great.

I caught a happy hour special and decided to give it a try. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, salad crisp and fresh. The potatoes were good at best. The pita bread could have been fresher I personally didn’t care. I’ll be back.. good amount of food for your money.

Maybe I was just unlucky but that's the worst shish taouk plate I've had. I couldn't finish it. The texture of the chicken was unlike anything I have experienced: it was soft and mealy, almost like pre-chewed baby food, and tasted like almost nothing. Most of the plate was barely warm and the sauces were underwhelming. Potatoes and taboulé were good though, and the staff was friendly.

So driving around, the neighborhood seemed dead, that is no one was out. Perhaps because it was still chilly. But when we walked into the restaurant it was very lively. Families and friends getting dinner enjoying themselves.

We came for dinner on a Tuesday I believe, it was pretty busy but we were seated right away.

We all ordered pizza. Boring I know, but it was very good. It wasn't very expensive either.

If you're looking for a place to eat and not sure where to go, come here.

Parking is street parking, we had no trouble finding parking.

Not what it used to be. Was good when it was one of the first to introduce Neapolitan style pizza to Montreal but others have far super-ceded them over time. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious pizza/pasta, this is definitely NOT the place. Overly hyped.

0 stars, the guy at the counter was talking and making fun of the clients in Arabic and thought no one understands it's a shame. Looking at the comments I'm not surprised anymore. He wouldn't stop laughing at my face and then The guy even refused to give me my food. What a miserable little place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!
no wonder why they have 3 stars! The food is good BUT THE SERVICE IS THE WORST just read the comments and avoid this place

Although I would love to give them 5-stars as I order from them at least once every week but the reason I am giving only 1-star rating is to bring their attention to a long-standing issue. No matter how many times you tell them to make it less spicy, they do not care. I usually order from UberEats and call them each time to make sure they make it mild. Of course they agree on call but it is never followed. Recently, I ordered Paneer Bhurji and called them to say please do not add green chillies. They told of course but the dish was full of green chillies! You can look at the picture I have attached. Don’t get me wrong, their food is amazing otherwise. One of the best in Montréal but they just don’t seem to understand that sometimes people want mild spicy food. That’s the reason I give this rating for food and service. Hoping that they improve on this! Also, sometimes the music is too loud and not matter how many times you ask them to reduce the volume they are not willing to do that.

Caution ⚠️⚠️ I am truly disheartened to have to give this restaurant such a poor rating, but I must be honest about our extremely unpleasant experience. From the appetizers to the main course, not a single dish was enjoyable. Initially, we ordered Honey Chilli Gobi and Malai Chaap, which were passable. However, the gobi was burnt and not fried in fresh oil. The main course was a major disappointment and simply unacceptable. Who makes Paneer Butter Masala sweet? It was overly sweet and excessively tangy. Additionally, the Mixed Vegetable Curry was poorly executed, using all frozen vegetables and emitting a strange odor. Lastly, the Biryani bore no resemblance to authentic biryani; it consisted of undercooked rice with scant vegetables. We had to request for it to be taken back. This experience was a complete waste of time and money. Please don't be swayed by the unfairly high and unrealistic reviews. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Staff was really good and tried to offer complementary dessert but unfortunately we were totally upset about whole experience. Please request to restaurant look after the recipe.

Convenient neighborhood shawarma restaurant. Cheerfully decorated. Service is friendly . We ordered Family option half chicken half beef. Portions are generous so we had plenty for everyone. Salads are very fresh. Came with soft pita breads too! The sauces added lots of flavor: garlic and spicy and hummus too! We will be back!

I have a couple of things that I would like to bring forward but for the time being my 5 star rating is solely for the food and the upgrade that punjab canteen has achieved by opening this location.

I am an old customer, rue liege location reminded me of punjabi dhabas. Good food, good prices and to the point service haha. I was super excited for this new location and finally was able to come from Ottawa to experience it. First of all, awesome upgrade! What a nice looking restaurant, great vibe, great lighting, good music and clean! Maza aa gya!

Now we come to the food. My fear was that now with the upgrade the food must have gone down as it might get whitewashed to appeal to a larger audience. But when we ordered, not only the presentation had elevated but the taste as well! The achari chicken tikka was so soft, juicy and flavorful.. a must have! You guys are not stingy with your garlic on your garlic naan 😄 it was amazing! Everything we ordered was great! The quantity has sure gone down but the quality has definitely progressed. I don’t think the quantity justifies the prices but it is understandable. I can compromise with that if the quality is this good :). Oh and I had the strawberry mojito.. yum yum yummmmmm!!!

Now we come to the service. The service at rue liege was acceptable considering the vibe of the restaurant but now that you have this beautiful location with such presentable delicious food, I think it is time to train the servers to match that level of service that you guys are going for. I was greeted with a smile at the front, seated nicely by the male staff. The female staff just didn’t seen to be enjoying what they were doing. The lack of enthusiasm was killing the vibe for me which the food made up for. No harm in smiling a little and being polite. I understand that it is a tiring job and we desis are sometimes not the best customers to deal with. I have worked in the service industry myself back in the days and I totally understand the type of crowd we can get sometime. But it is not fair to treat everybody the same way when you are representing a really good restaurant which is progressing so beautifully. A warm smile and a caring attitude can melt the toughest of crowds. This is the only constructive criticism I would give you guys.

I love Punjab canteen and I am very happy for all that you have achieved! I wish the best to you guys for your future! My mother is coming from India so I will see you guys soon :D she is going to drool over that Dal Makhani!!!! Haha

My wife and I decided that we needed to add some more spice in our lives, so what better way to achieve this but to visit La Cantine Punjab on Queen Mary Road.

We started off with a tummy warming thick Lentil Soup. I ordered the Chicken Malai Tikka which was in my humble opinion, absolutely the most mouthwatering and tender pieces of chicken that I have ever tasted in an Indian restaurant. My wife chose the Chicken Tikka, also a very delicious dish. The portions were extremely generous and the service was friendly and efficient throughout our meal.

So if you would also like to spice up your life, I suggest that you stop by La Cantine Punjab. You won’t be disappointed.
Channa Samosa, Mango Lassi, Garlic Nan and butter nan was good, but Butter Chicken was really bad.

There were two people who served and took the order. The lady who took our order was soo rude to us, but the guy who served us the order was a bartender i think, he is amazing. His service was really good, his attitude was amazing. I gave 4/5 stars for service just for the guy who served us.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our first anniversary. Overall the experience was good apart from the lady’s service.
Very good falafel! Such delicious fillings and the pitta is perfectly crispy! The Crescent Street location is a little rough around the edges, but they give good service!
I tried their chicken shwarma plate and chicken pita that was delicious.
Recommended.

I tried the chicken shawarma sandwich unfortunately I didn’t like it, the pita was barely heated, chicken not seasoned it lacked taste and the garlic sauce was average , maybe because it was late night im not sure, the place was clean and nicely decorated and employees were very nice!
Everything it's not that bad but the service and the attitude of staff it's really the worst so don't go here if u are from the area u know exactly what I am talking about... yack

It's a bring your own wine, which is great, but this shouldn't be a reason to serve dry industrial pasta in an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. This is a kitchen that is made to serve as many people as possible, as quickly as possible. And for that purpose, it does its job well. The length of the menu should be a big enough hint that no one is sitting in the back rolling fresh pasta and browning guanciale to make a proper carbonara. But don't get me wrong, the food is not bad. It's what I would make at home when I don't have too much time to cook. It tastes ok, it does the job of feeding people and it doesn't break the bank. With friends and wine, you'll still enjoy your time.
The pizza was delicious. Also this place seemed super cool, I wish we would’ve dined in the restaurant as they had a fun byow night which I thought was a super cute idea. The pizza was still delicious for Take-away.
Average. Food was mediocre. Don’t order the honey chilli potato, they just toss it in ketchup and serve that. Chole samosa was good. We order cheese naan and got paneer kulcha instead.
Service was poor. We called for the bill 4 times until finally getting up and paying at the counter. We also asked for takeout containers that we never got despite asking several servers.
Being short staffed is not an excuse for bad service because you still expect tip that you don’t deserve :)

We went there before and the food and service was always great.
yesterday we had a bad experience there.
The staff was awesome like before, kind, welcoming and smiling.
The quality of the food was decreased a lot. The salad seemed not fresh. The rice was too oily and the cut of gyro wasn't as fine as it should be.
But the worst part of our experience was the cleanliness of the washroom.
I don't like to say that but the washroom was the dirtiest washroom that I have seen. Water tank didn't work and the toilet didn't have water.

Returning to a familiar place stirred up nostalgia, menu looks unchanged since my last visit many years ago. The antipasto la buffala, priced at $21, felt underwhelming with minimal basil on tomato slices alongside mozzarella di bufala. The primavera pizza tasted excessively salty and lacked inspiration due to the use of canned clams. While my experience wasn't satisfying, I'd recommend trying other menu options, perhaps exploring dishes that showcase the restaurant's specialties or seeking recommendations from the staff to enhance the dining experience.

We had bread pakoda, gol gappe , malai chicken tikka, butter chicken and naan and Ras malai. It was all so good. We loved the food and the flavours were very authentic.
I would definitely recommend this if someone wants to have authentic Indian cuisine.
The music at the restaurant was a bit too loud, so that was a bit of distraction in the beginning but once the food came, nothing mattered.

Really great time at Boustan! We didn't speak French but found the staff patient and accommodating with our menu questions. My group each had a Mixed Shawarma Bowl, and I had my sauce substituted for their vegan sauce (love that there's an option that is still as creamy as the regular version). The beef and chicken were good, slightly on the drier side but very well spiced. The roasted potatoes were fantastic, as was the coleslaw. It was just pickled vegetables, but offered such a light freshness to the bowl! Great price for a filling meal. A couple of us packed leftovers to go. Would highly recommend! They have seating inside, but we saw others enjoying eating on the street level patio too.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing, and everything I tried was delicious. However, the service was rude and barely attentive and we we’re seated outside in front of someone’s house. Despite that, I would still rate the food 5/5 and recommend this spot.
Awkward experience. Paid $35 for food that should have been $20. The people at the counter (one guy who seemed like he owned the place) were very miserable. But they were nice to a couple of their friends and were yelling to them across the restaurant for our entire meal from the counter in another language. Don’t go here.

Horrible! I ordered the gyro plate. The lettuce in the salade was like wastes they found in the garbage (witted) even the core of the iceberg lettuce was in it. The fries was cold. The toasted bread had no butter 😩 and cold/hard like a rock. I grew up in park-ex and grew up going to this restaurant. I went back there for the first time in 20 years after moving south and I would NOT recommend anyone to go there. I could complain about flavor and other stuff but I will leave it at this.

Bring your own wine pizzeria, since 1948. The restaurant itself has a cozy and rustic atmosphere and the tree standing right in the middle provides an authentic feeling. I wouldn’t say the food is remarkable however. The meat balls were very chewy, the pasta was decent, but there was an excessive amount of cooking cream used in the dish and the pizza was just average.
Haven't ordered here In a while. The gyro was dry,and in little tiny bits instead of nice size morsels and some were so hard could not chew. The pita bread was cold and not fresh the tzatziki was nothing to talk about. The fries were luke warm. We literally live 5 mins away. The place is definitely not what it used to be won't be ordering here again.
Not sure if it was a bad night or what, but the Shawarma had no flavour, the garlic wasn't flavorful, the Falafel was dry with barely any tahini sauce, and the gravy on the poutine wasn't good.

I understand poutine isn't their specialty, but Shawarma/Falafel/Garlic sauce should be, and they weren't good.

The staff were extremely nice, the vegetable table was very nice and clean, but the food flavour needs improvement.

I'm sorry but I can't recommend this restaurant.
