So happy to find a place that does fried rice as a side option. Too many restaurants only offer white rice or charge more. General Tsos chicken was really good too. Right amount of spice, crispy, and actual chicken meat. No gristle. Tasty eggrolls and FAST delivery too. Can't wait to try another dish!

One of my favorite places to get food. It’s not too expensive and it’s just such a chill place. The food is always the perfect temperature and it’s the best every time. I will always recommend them to anyone I know who wants some good Chinese food. It’s one of those places that you don’t always notice but it’s worth it.

This is the worst Chinese take out I have ever had. The orange chicken was so spicy that we could not eat it. Orange chicken is never spicy. The fried rice had little flavor, and the wonton soup was so salty, I could not eat it. When I called them, I was not permitted access to the manager. I was refunded for less than 1/2 of what I spent. I didn't even eat the food. Go somewhere else, I emplore you. Of note- The owners never reply, and don't give a s*&# about the concerned reviews. Sad.

If you’re longing for First Wok in Bloomington and have been incredibly sad about their closing, look no further. This is some of the best Chinese food in Minneapolis. Can’t beat the price, value, or quality. Hot and Sour soup, egg rolls, and all entrees have been a 10/10. We love this place.

Had the chicken in garlic sauce. Nice spice to it and good garlic flavor. paired with the fried dumplings which were decent (thick dough), and the egg roll was good.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years, but this was only the third time I’ve been here as the first two times were disappointing. Each time tried different things. I needed something convenient and tried to give them one more chance. I purposefully only ordered two very basic dishes, hoping they would be decent this time. I got vegetable egg rolls that had nothing but cabbage inside, they didn’t even serve them with any sauce. Then I got a quart of vegetable lo mein - pretty sure they only gave me the pint; and it was noodles in sauce, some cabbage and some broccoli that wasn’t even fresh - that was it. I didn’t think you could mess up vegetable dishes, but they don’t even want to add some carrots, peppers, pea pods or anything. Service is less than friendly.

The worst service we have ever had. The staff is useless and cannot understand basic requests. Got our order wrong three times and then the staff could not grasp that we wanted to pay together for two subs so they opened our sandwiches all the time checking what it is.

FOOD POISONING WARNING below...I figured since I had a sizeable layover I'd try this location even though there were negative reviews about the wait. I waited about 15-20 minutes in line before I found out that I could pick up my order. That was faster because you can go straight to the cash register. I did that, so I cannot comment on the full wait or what it looked like when the sandwich was made.

I can comment that while eating my sandwich I started to feel very sick. I had to run to the bathroom... my stomach hurt, and I felt very nauseous. While you can never confirm where you got food poisoning from, I do believe it was the food as I had not eaten anything other than an unopened fruit cups an hour or so before. Half way into the sandwich I started to feel queasy. It isn't worth it!

Be prepared for a very long line. They add a gratuity to every order no matter what. My two 6” sandwiches were somehow $28!!!! They had to have charged me wrong somehow but I could not believe the total! I was sick of standing in line so I just paid and left. I would attach a photo of my receipt if I hadn’t thrown it out, but I was blown away at the price.

Never disappointed when we order delivery from Fresh Wok! Order has never been wrong, food is always hot and fresh, and they usually arrive quicker than estimated. Our go to when we're in the mood for Chinese food but don't want to leave the house.

Average spot for a sushi date night 🍣

Atmosphere: We walked in around 7 on a Saturday expecting to find a busy dining area, but only a handful of tables were booked. They put us in the side room near the sushi counter which was kind of neat, but it also felt isolated from the rest of the guests. Some may have preferred that or even called it more intimate.

Service: we were greeted immediately, didn’t have to wait to be seated and our server was friendly, prompt and helpful when we had questions

What we ordered:
Spicy margaritas - perfect for a warm day, but I couldn’t taste any heat

Sashimi sampler (6 pieces)

Rolls: Lake, Summer, King Kong, Zombie (my personal favorite) and Red & White

A starter and 5 rolls ended up being the perfect amount of food for two hungry people!

Bonus points for the creativity they put into their plating! 🧸

The ambiance at the restaurant was laid-back, and the servers provided excellent service, ensuring we had everything we needed. However, managing our table became a bit challenging as they didn't clear our plates, especially with my small children reaching for things. Despite this minor inconvenience, the atmosphere seemed more conducive to dinner or hanging out at the bar. While they have a few arcade games and a kid's menu, there was an underlying "quick in and out" vibe if you weren't drinking alcohol, despite our server's assurance that we could stay as long as we wanted. She was exceptionally kind throughout our visit.

One downside was the absence of a drink menu; instead, you had to approach the bar to view the beer selection or rely on your knowledge. Unprepared, I chose a random drink and ended up with something I didn't enjoy.

For our meals, my sister ordered a burger and fries, while my kids got chicken strips and fries, which were generously portioned and seemed freshly made. I took the leftovers home for the kids’ dinner later. As a vegetarian, I ordered nachos without meat, and they were delicious, topped generously with jalapeños and black olives, though I had to push some aside. We also tried the onion fries, which were a hit even with the young ones—ages 1 and 3.

I have ordered from here for the last time...heads up... if you order through take out, they will not give you wasabi and ginger with your sushi roll. This is the second time. I will not order from here again.

Maybe not an exaggeration to say that this was the worst sandwich I've ever had and definately the worst customer service experience in a long long while. I worked in food service for 10 years and I'm pretty empathetic as far as mistakes go. The employees had no idea what the menu is or what is included on any sandwich. Every order is treated as a build your own. However, employees argue with you over what you want; insisting they just put anything on your sandwich. The employees argue with each other over how to make a sub. The entire process is painfully long and I wish I could have just made it myself. They have no idea how to wrap the sandwich and I watched with horror as they smashed a gloomy mess of condiments in a way that lubricated the entire exterior of the sub. Seriously. There was more stuff outside the bread than inside. It took forever to pay as the cashier kept insisting on knowing every ingredient and then questioning the accuracy and checking with someone else who made it. Again, more arguing. They over charged my wife for a turkey avocado wrap after telling her there was no avocado and refusing to let her add any other toppings. I graciously let her shape some mashed blobs of topping off of the exterior of my sub. But $14 for a 6 inch wrap with 4 slices of turkey and 2 slices of cheese is absurd. After finally ringing up the order it had a 15% tip selected. Unless you manually deselect this it will charge you. Fortunately I caught it. I can't imagine how many disgruntled customers were over charged for poor food and a terrible experience only to then be tricked into tipping while frantically trying to get away. For the record, we ordered basic sandwiches and did not get excessive amount of ingredients. Because it's an airport I'm sure they can get away with this and don't really care about customer reviews. If you find yourself near the H gates, just do yourself a favor and get a sandwich from a vending machine.

Wellllllll I didn't like the fact that I had to standing a line, which is cool but the whole time Not One of the Employees changed their gloves. The sandwich was fresh But 1 employee slopped everything on the bread. So when I bit into my sandwich I ate a bunch of olives and then onions and then hot peppers and meat at the bottom. Like no care of making my sandwich at all just hurry and get these people gone. Crazy but they spoke and smiled

Been getting delivery from here for about a year or so and I am rarely disappointed (I’ve never gotten BAD food, just sometimes it doesn’t slap AS HARD as others but it’s always good) . The General Tso chicken is always delicious, and the orange chicken has a good balance of spicy and sweet. Hot and sour soup is DELICIOUS, so is their cheese rangoons and donuts. They always deliver to me lightning fast with PIPING hot food. Literally the only Chinese place we order from and the prices are crazy low. I can’t believe how much food we get for such low amounts.

Friggin nice! I went here on a random day out the week and it was happy hour! I got the bacon cheese burger! It was massive and I barely finished it! The burger had flavor and well cooked also. The ingredients were fresh and tasty.. this restaurant is a good place to have drinks with buddies or a quick stop while out on the town. Good prices @ happy hour on beers and food .The atmosphere is great with excellent customer service! Grady is one of the best at making sure you feel comfortable and well took care of.. overall great experience👍

Ordered take out for the first time. Food was nice and warm and packaged neatly. Came with a lot of utensils, sauces, etc. Food really hit the spot! Definitely will be my go-to place in the future

first time coming here - 2/7/24. took my gf for her birthday around 1pm. there was an asian lady working there whose vibe and energy was extremely passive and just felt hostile. no smile, didn't greet us, didn't care to give insight on what items were, droggy in tone.. i don't appreciate this energy in a kitchen but, being that it's my gf birthday i settled with atleast take out. happy we did! not only was it freezing inside the restaurant but, we would have missed out on decent food. wasn't bad at all! had fried rice, fried chicken and wontons! the chicken was SO crunchy and just omg, amazing for a wing texture wise. the wontons were AMAZING and have a subtle sweet taste. not to mention there was quite a few wings in there!! like 10! my gf had a lunch combo with sesame chicken that came with fried rice for only $8-$9 - she said it needed more flavor but, that she loved the wings as well. only $21 for both of us so i'd say it's affordable. they also appeared to have a drive thru which is cool.

Great little neighborhood spot and it feels like Tailgate’s quieter sibling in a good way. I know it’s mostly about the burgers and chicken sandwiches here, but I think their BLT is among the best in the city. Top shelf, high quality bacon and lettuce that is always a bit more crispy and fresh than we usually find. Salads are ridiculously fresh for the price too. Don’t hesitate to grab a burger, but don’t sleep on the BLT!

Some of the food was fine, but some things tasted distinctly expired and fridge-y. Confirmed with two of us. Cutting corners on freshness is not something you can ignore from a sushi place. Didn't eat much of it but honestly hoping we don't get sick.

Wow, really impressed. Got delivery on a Friday night and food arrived piping hot and hit the spot. Lots of extra care in packaging my egg drop soup (it was still very hot!) my dishes also had a LOT of sauces required which were all carefully prepared and accounted for with extra.

I'm not sure how this place has more than 4 stars! Starting with that only the appetizers took like 1 hour and 10 min to come out. The place wasn't even busy I think they only had one waitress. The wings came out I mean look at the picture. The wings had a weird texture and the wontons had no taste. Fried tasteless bread with ketchup! I had to go because the sushi never came out. They charged me for the sushi I had ask them to take it out. They wanted me to take the sushi after the horrible experience. Never again!. Fake reviews.

Decided to try and catch happy hour before it ended at 6. My party and I were seated by 5:40. Our waitress didn’t come to our table until 6 on the dot. Not a great first impression. Food was good and the atmosphere was really nice. Just wished our waitress had explained to us why it took so long to even greet us. Whether it’s being short staffed or other issues being the reason, communicate with your customers.

I would give No stars for service, if it was possible. The serving staff did not listen to the order well and was very impatient and rude. The person at the checkout was even more rude and refused to mark the sandwiches. Just asked us to open the sandwiches if we wanted to know whats what. All staff unprofessional. Subway should cancel the franchise and shut the shop down. These people should not be running food business..

Easy parking behind the restaurant which stands on a busy corner. There appears to be a second dining area which could be used for private events. The space itself at night is not very inviting. Lighting, table and booth arrangement, and decor did not appear to get much attention. The food, however was quite good. Typically extensive menu with several pages of Thai offerings. From the sushi menu, the crunch roll I had was large and tasty. The special rolls were all in the $17-18 range. Probably better as a lunch place, but worth visiting.

I ordered the kimchi chigae and shrimp tempura, and it was delivered to my house via DoorDash. The food was prepared and delivered fairly quickly. The kimchi chigae was alright! I think most of the pepper flakes settled down at the bottom of the container, so when I poured out the last half of the soup, it was uncomfortably spicy, but overall, the taste wasn't bad. However, there was barely any tofu, fish cake, mushroom, and pork in my soup. It might as well have been a container of kimchi. The shrimp tempura was good, and some fried onion, zucchini, and mushroom were included as well. Those were okay. I received a box of pickled vegetables, bean sprouts, kimchi, and other veggies that I didn't order, but maybe that was for the shrimp tempura? I wasn't a big fan of how those tasted, but the restaurant gave me two portions of white rice, so that was nice at least. The prices are a bit steep considering the quantity and quality of the food, but maybe they have better things on the menu.

I recently dined at a restaurant and was truly impressed by the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. From the moment I entered, they made me feel welcomed and valued. They were knowledgeable about the menu, provided insightful recommendations, and catered to dietary preferences seamlessly. Throughout the meal, they checked in regularly to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. This level of service undoubtedly enhanced my overall enjoyment of the meal, and I can't wait to return for another wonderful experience.

Went on a date here and the food was phenomenal! I'm pretty sure I had the best green curry I have tasted so far in the US. The spring rolls were also amazing. I will definitely be back!

Food was good, portions for BBQ meats are on the larger size so one plate can feed 2 to 3 adults. They also come with extra dishes of food. I dont recommend bbq your chicken as it takes a long time to cook. Parking can be a problem but there is a parking ramp about 2 blocks away.

5 stars for an awesome burger. I personally thought the five alarm stuffed burger had a bit more sauce on it than I would have preferred but it was still really good. My wife had the Italian stuffed burger and it was also really good

Amazing food, quick service, and some of the best wait staff I have ever experienced. Will definitely be coming again many times over. Great place and awesome experience.

It was alright. The food did not taste that good. It wasn't seasoned well, there was barely any flavor in it. They didn't have any sauces available. The service was not good, and they misled us into buying more meat by saying that the quantity was less, so we ended up ordering too much because of that. The chicken came out at the end, when we were almost done eating. Only the jumbo shrimp was good. I didn't really enjoy anything else as it was bland. Not worth paying 100$ for it. And soju was overpriced on the menu. The place looks fancy, but it wasn't that clean. Every surface you touch is sticky! The seats and the table were just sticky. I guess the music was good.

Food was amazing! Pineapple curry was bomb. Spice level was perfection as well. Slow building heat is my favorite.

(Pan fried) Gyoza was very good. Slightly crispier than I’m used to.

Japanese Mule was great as well, props to the bartender that made it. Great flavor.

I would normally knock a star because service was sub-par, but I can’t fault the server as I think he may need to see a doc for some ADD meds. His focus needs some serious help. Nice dude and seems like a hard worker, but memory skills and focus could use some help.

Can’t recommend this place enough though. Honestly the only reason left to visit the neighborhood.

I got Kiku Bistro delivered through Postmates, and everything was delicious. I ordered the Salmon Lover’s combo with miso soup, a Number 9 roll and cream cheese wontons, which were all great. I would order them again. Fresh fish, good hot soup and great flavors overall.

Yummy stir fry that tasted like curry 😋 I wasn’t a fan of the bowl though because it spilled everywhere. The baked muscles, papaya salad, dumplings, and oysters were good. Personally thought the sushi rolls were decent but not my personal fav. Lastly the strawberry mimosa & mango mimosa was delicious & definitely hit!

The food is eatable. When I dine out for breakfast, I expect the cooking to be better than mine. The Patty Wagon is a step below the average home cook’s abilities. I had their breakfast of potatoes with cheese — nothing special. My wife had their Belgium waffle. It was akin to the waffle you pour yourself into a hotel breakfast bar. While the atmosphere is friendly, the food is mediocre. Skip this place.

They made it really quick for the crowd we had. Sandwich is good like any other locations. Veg ate fresh and warm. I didn’t knw we can use rewards, will use it next time. Dine in place near the store was awesome too

BEWARE!! The BBQ itself was decent.. My partner and I brought my little brother here while he was with us for spring break as our last meal together. We waited forever for our raw meat, which seems odd when our apps came out quickly. The fried rice was not only completely devoid of any flavor but the veggies were raw and the rice didn’t have even a single fleck of char on it so we sent that back. After that, we were served those chili rice cakes instead of the bulgogi my partner was literally pointing to in their menu when she ordered it. When she asked for a sprite, she got a glass that had something floating around and stuck to the side of the glass.. Now I don’t know how much experience the layman has with dried loogies in cups, but I can say from experience and with almost absolute confidence that’s what this was.

Oh, and they’re charging over $20 for $6-8 bottles of soju/sake that you can find pretty much anywhere.

My new go to Chinese restaurant! Came here for the first time today and I am soooo glad I did! The food is sooooo delicious and inexpensive! I ordered the hot and sour soup, rice, steamed dumplings, and shrimp egg roll and everything was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were relatively large and the price for everything was under $15! Plus my order was ready in under 15 minutes of placing it and the food was still hot and tasted fresh. It doesn’t get any better than that. The only con is the location. It’s located on Lake St in an area tha doesn’t seem like the safest. However, I LOVE that they have a drive thru! So much easier that you don’t have to get out of your car. I would highly recommend this place!

I've been here on several occasions, the vibe is always welcoming, energetic and the building itself has a metalic modern style. Great place to impress a date or show off to friends, that is if you can grill.
It's not cheap, for a dinner for two an order of pork belly, steak tips, shrimp and veggies the total was $200 after tip. The meat was marinated well and was decent in quality. Just make sure you have some knowledge on cooking meat before you arrive.
Service was fine nothing to write home about. Finding a close parking spot could've been easier. I'll definitely be back here in the near future. Good place for a date!

Long wait despite having reservations. The food was great, but my only complaint is that they don't warn you when they're out of sauces for tempura or mandu. Those are items only enjoyable with dipping sauce and I wouldn't have ordered them had I known they were out of sauce. Tempura eaten dry is especially terrible. The japchae is the absolute bomb, so delicious.

I went for my birthday and it was very bad. I ordered cold noodles, and I waited for around 40 minutes after everyone else got their food. When I asked about it, did it came out a few minutes later. We also didn’t get our rice by the time we finished grilling our beef and eating it, So I told them we didn’t want the rice anymore and they left and proceeded to bring all of it anyways. They also brought the octopus at the very end as well when we’ve been there close to an hour and already done grilling. Overall, it was very disorganized, with food coming out at weird times and some of the food wasn’t good either. The tonkatsu was very dry and the Tteokbokki is more similar to honey taste then traditional. In the end, I wouldn’t recommend coming here with a party at all or if u want good service or food if they remember to bring it.

I like to try a new burger every time I go to Minneapolis, and this place showed up when I searched "best burger." Wow, was I disappointed. I've had McDonald's burgers with more flavor than this one. Salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard didn't even help. I got the cheddar bacon Juicy Lucy, and there was really no flavor at all. The fries were ok. There was hardly anyone in there, but the service was so slow, and the wait staff never checked on me. I won't be back.

Not a bad price. You get good sized juicy Lucy for the price here. We came in around 7:00pm and there was another table of 4 in the whole place. If you want a spots bar atmosphere go next door.

The food left much to be desired. It looks nice but taste was not there. The brownie had a texture reminiscent of felt. The wait staff wasn't around hardly at all.

I absolutely loved being able to order everything via their phone app. I dined in on a date Thursday night. Drinks were amazing. Get their Manhattan. As for sushi, completely blown away by quality. Each roll was unique and had rich, creamy, and light flavors. Don't pass this place by if you're a sushi aficionado. I've had sushi in my mother's homeland and this place does it right.

I went to this restaurant with my friends on my birthday and it was very delicious. If there is another time, I will still choose to celebrate my birthday here. Thanks to the staff for turning down the lights so that made we easy take beautiful pictures!

Got takeout from here for the first time last night and I was pleasantly surprised, considering sushi take out is always a gamble in general.
I ordered the "Christmas roll" and it was delicious!
Only complaint is that they packaged it in the same bag as our order of fried rice, so my sushi was quite warm/a bit "steamed" by the time we got home with it. Otherwise no issues and our order was ready on time!

Update 8/17/21
Ordered via uber eats again tonight- tried the twin flame roll and mango fried rice. Twin flame roll was delicious but they forgot to include the avacodo that was listed as an ingredient, and yet again the rolls were very warm from being in the same bag as fried rice. Mango fried rice was delicious tho, no complaints there!

I'm from Texas and this place was delicious! Nice sized plates. Very reasonably priced and good portions. My kids loved their sesame chicken and orange chicken. Beef and mushrooms was perfect. Looks like a family owned business. Sweet lady at the register. They do have a drive thru as well.

I like that the pandemic has not prevented sober Fish from still providing the happy hour menu many places have scrap their menu.
The sushi is still amazing!

My only gripe was with the Thai basil fried rice I asked for it with pineapple and tofu and I got that! That part was great.
It just didn’t taste the same as I remember from some time ago it’s like it was missing a certain seasoning so it fell flat.
All in all a great place to eat an amazing service to match! We didn’t need a reservation as it was not busy so that made it easy!

Pro: no reservation fast seating still same great quality of sushi. Wait staff is amazing!

Con: even though it was not busy inside Sober Fish it’s very busy in the area parking may be a hassle.

I would say maybe skip the fried rice and go with a curry or noddle dish instead.

Always great food and prices! The drive thru is convenient. I’ve been over a dozen times and have never been disappointed.

Chinese Express is our go to Chinese restraunt for work. We drive in, eat in, and carry out regularly. The food is always hot. It's not mysterious, you know what you're eating and see fresh ingredients. They are accommodating for requests and go above and beyond with customer service. Online ordering is really convenient. The restraunt is a bit lack luster but it is clean.
