This is the new RAD headquarters building. It has a cafe, dancewear shop and beautiful dance studios. The reception staff were very friendly and looked after us when we took our ballet exam. I understand the classes here are some of the best around.
We were there as part of a very poorly organised event with the Wandsworth arts fringe festival. We weren't given clear instructions on the entrances/ exits we should use. No info on changing and toileting facilities bearing in mind we were there with children aged 3-13. Booked tickets holders weren't confirmed and people missed the shows. We weren't given enough passes to get around the building. Showa were running behind schedule. But from what I saw it was a lovely building and one of the performers Pointe Black ballet were amazing and should definitely be checked out. A ballet school for black and brown children and what a show they put on for the windrush celebration
My 3 year old does mini acro and loves it! The teacher (Charlie) is amazing!
Attended for an adult ballet class for the vocational syllabus. Amazing new building with professional facilities, including Harlequin flooring. Top class teaching in the english style. Within walking distance from Clapham Junction train station. The RAD website says about 8 min walk, better to allow 15mins
My twin niece recently had a remarkable performance at the academy, but unfortunately, I couldn't capture any pictures of it. Nonetheless, her performance left me in awe, and I found it to be incredibly impressive. The choreography was executed flawlessly, and it even brought a tear to my eye. The royal academy itself is impeccably clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. They even have a charming little shop that sells ballet clothes. For a brief moment, I couldn't help but imagine myself as a ballerina.
My son has attended All the Arts for 10 years. We sent him as he was so shy and wanted to give him confidence. All the Arts has certainly done that and last week he received news that he has been accepted for Drama college. We love watching him in all his performances in so many different theatres and love the friendships he has made. I cannot thank the teachers enough for all their hard work and the opportunities they have given my son xx

This is a fabulous place. The staff are very good and caring. My kids have been going there for about 8 years now and it’s like a second home to them.

I had a ballet course here today which I really enjoyed. Thank you for all the ideas that you gave us teachers for dance in the primary curriculum! Watching the students dance was a real highlight!
After watching the documentary on BBC 1 tonight, it’s disgusting the way young children / adults were / still are being treated - to see people stand up and speak out against the bullies is heroic act and takes courage.

Cannot recommend All The Arts enough! My eldest daughter has been going for four years and it has made her passionate about performing. Our main goal was to instil confidence in her from a young age which it has definitely done but it has become so much more to her. Our younger daughter has been attending for 2.5 years. She is more timid in nature but the amazing staff at ATA have helped build her confidence and she now enjoys performing too. If you’re looking for a friendly and enjoyable environment for your child, look no further!
Visited the Royal Academy of Dance for a The Sleeping Beauty Adult Repertoire Intensive. Had a great experience spending both days there. Staff are friendly and the changing area and toilets are very clean. The studios and dance spaces are perfect for workshops and barre. Would definitely visit again and recommend.
Very welcoming academy. I have been student for half a year and I am very happy with the teachers and with the relaxed and fun environment for learning. I have had Newton and Katrina as regular teachers for months, and I would totally recommend both as they are very nice, patient and fun to learn from.
Katarina is a first rate teacher....I along with many others have benefited from her style of teaching...she makes sure you have leant the basics properly.She has a great and friendly way with all her students...The reviewer who said shes the worst...well ...that's a shame as in my experience,she is top notch!!👌👌
Katrina is one of the worst teachers I've ever seen in any discpline. Knows nothing about the spirit of dancing or communication.
Was at Royal Academy of Dance for the Wandsworth Fringe. Lovely location. The seating in the hall we were in was comfortable and the tiering of the seating was excellent, the heads of guests in front were not in line of view.
Easy to get to the location by bus or train from Victoria. The bus journey felt quicker, as the bus drops you right outside and there is a lot less walking.

I had terrible experience to order items from RAD. I made the order on 30 Jan from Ireland, until end of Feb I received nothing, after a spend a lot of time to ask RAD providing update, they confirmed package lost, they will send another one, I was waiting and waiting and waiting, after one week nothing happened, I asked again, eventually, they sent new packages and in same time, they told me the bag I ordered is discontinued, refunded the bag cost to me, and send 2 x ankle warmers. So I spent 24.61 pounds and waited 6 weeks for 2 ankle warmers. When I sent email to ask them cancel the order, it has no point to send 2 ankle warmers. They blocked my email address!!!! Yes, they are blocked my email, I never used any bad language to communicate with them, but they blocked me. I received 2 ankle warmers yesterday with 2.5 euro import charge. I double checked the RAD website, the bag they told me discontinued still able to make order without any issue. I know I'm only one of the customers for you, you don't care and block me, that's fine, I won't be ordered anything from you again. I'm not sure how it does in UK, If you try to order from EU, forget about it, you can find a thousand EU shops with good price. RAD not only changes high cost of shipping and also charge UK tax for someone ordered from EU. Avoid this shop.
Our daughter has been attending All The Arts Theatre School for 7 years. It is one of the best opportunities I have given my child. She absolutely loves going every week. Not only has she gained so much confidence but has made some wonderful friendships. All of the teaching team are AMAZING and very nurturing. I couldn't recommend this theatre school highly enough :)
All The Arts is a fantastic theatre school and my son has such a wonderful time there. There are so many opportunities available for the children to shine from shows and performances at prestigious venues to being able to undertake IDTA and LAMDA exams.
They also have a fantastic casting agency that also offers up many opportunities for the children to audition and if successful appear in a wide range of media outlets. The team are very supportive of the children and I get so much enjoyment from watching the excitement and joy in my son's face when watching him perform.
I would highly recommend ATA ⭐

A fantastic organisation in the world of ballet helping many young people achieve their dreams it is an honour to support this company in their achievements - They have a friendship membership which anyone can join for £50 a year & a shop,which I have just purchased two Royal Ballet School T - shirts!

Beautiful new building that reflects the class of the school. I remember the original building at Battersea Square which was very informal but not the worse for it! The new place is impressive, professional and a bit swanky!

I highly recommend ATA. My daughter has been attending for a few years now and she loves it. I have noticed her grow in confidence, which was my original reason for encouraging her to go. The lessons seem a lot of fun whilst also teaching the kids valuable skills. Having recently watched a performance at the O2, it was clearly visible just how much hard work Lucy and the team put in. We were blown away with how polished and professional the children came across and they all seemed to be enjoying it so much!
Fantastic facilities specifically for elite training for the future generations of classical ballet dancers. Beautiful studios and space for special dancers.

My daughter has been with ATA for just under a year now and she has loved every minute since she has been there. During a very difficult year the teachers have been very supportive and adapted when they needed to, so that children were able to do their classes and make Zoom calls fun! In just under a year my daughter has had the opportunity to take exams both IDTA & LAMDA with more to come this year as well as performing opportunities. She has absolutely loved all the holiday courses she has done and they have amazing opportunities to work with those already in the industry in these classes.
Lucy and all of the teachers are incredible and look to bring out the best in all the children. I've definitely seen my daughters confidence grow since she has started. Highly recommended ATA and only wish I had found them sooner!

On paper the classes offered were great for my daughter, but unfortunately the team head, Melina refused to offer any refunds for missed classes during the pandemic. Updates were lacking and calls and emails left unanswered. Was still owed two sessions which I never received my money back for as it was a direct payment, if it were a larger amount I'd have chased through the county courts so had no other option but to pull my daughter from these classes given it would likely happen again if further government restrictions stopped classes.

I really like this place, it's an extremely friendly and fun night. I've been dancing for nearly 20 years and this is the best place I've been to for a long time, definitely my favourite.

Booked Burlesque Baby for a Hen night. We were all impressed. Our teacher was amazing and we learnt some awesome moves. She put us all at ease and we had a fantastic time. Bride to be and all the Hens agreed that it was the best Hen night by far, the shy and apprehensive Hens were also converted.
Would highly recommend Burlesque Baby for your event. You won't be disappointed.... you'd only wish the class lasted longer!

Through Burlesque Baby I became Betty Rogers, and it's been a life changing experience. The teachers are amazing and the structure of the course is personally the best out there, really preparing you for the world of cabaret. It's also a whole world of fun, and you make some amazing friends. Couldn't recommend it more.
My friend and I had a one to one class with Sharon and I can honestly say it's one of the best and most memorable things I've ever done. Sharon is more than professional, but she's also very personable and makes you feel at ease straight away. It made a huge difference being taught by a true performer not just one of these "I've done a weekend course and now I'm a teacher" types. We had a brilliant time walking like showgirls with massive feather fans and learning the most brilliant routine that left us feeling like Dita had some competition!! I cannot recomment her courses enough if you want a fun, informative and fabulously indulgent time! Thank you so much Sharon - it was amazing xx
My experience with Burlesque Baby was amazing!
I have done both stage 2 and 3 with the burlesque graduation Baby show at the end in a great venue. It was so much fun! The 3 teachers I had all along my training were really good. I particularly enjoyed their approach, respecting our style, helping us to be more confident and giving us nice advice.
I would definitely recommend these courses.

I booked with burlesque baby for a hen party activity in Liverpool. All 10 girls had such an amazing experience. Was an excellent bonding experience for the girls that hadn't met. Trying to re-create our dance routine at the wedding was a hilarious scene and added to the memory for us. Our teacher was amazing and put us at ease instantly.
The bride loved her gift. The hen's loved their dance routine and as chief organiser I loved how professional and accommodating burlesque baby were.

Thank you so much Burlesque Baby for a wonderful Hen Party. I booked a local venue for a couple of hours and we were delighted to meet our lovely teacher, Rachel. She was great fun yet very professional, taking us through our poses, shimmies ... & the rest ...leading to our own hilarious routines - so much fun - perfect prelude to the wedding ! X
I took all of the levels because I knew I needed to get over my body confidence issues. It wasn't a want, it was a need and the only way to get over myself was to step outside of my comfort zone.
With each lesson I grew more confident. I stopped comparing myself to others and found my own Burlesque style. The instructors at Burlesque Baby are supportive, enthusiastic, experienced and really lovely.
So if you want to step outside your comfort zone and get more confident then you need to book your lessons with Burlesque Baby!

A great ballet school and an encore dibble opportunity for children to express themselves in the performing arts however I very much disagree that to get in you don't just need to be an exdrordanary dancer but also your bodies is an impact on wether you get in or not as you almost need to be anorexic to peform with the "perfect body ". I believe children do not need to be inspired to be this barbie doll like figure and teens do not need this criticism which is makeing teens go home and hardly eat to live up to there standards
This was an amazing experience , I did all of the levels of classes and it was so much fun. I had no confidence before and 2 left feet and to be honest almost pulled out of doing this course, however I stuck to it and feel so much better for it, plus I have a ton of new friends too :) . I always loved burlesque and this school really does the authentic american burlesque and nails it. Highly recommend
UPDATE: They have restarted classes in the Clapham area and are as good as always. Will be going to classes regularly now and see how it goes. The text below is for people's reference.
Archived (2015-2016): A few years ago, they had very good teachers, nice music and good moves. Since then, they have moved their base a few too many times - every time dumping students in the cold, from what I have seen.
I have personally been left holding a loyalty card with over 8 classes remaining for a stretch of over 8 months without knowing if they had permanently shut down or not (the only reason I came to know about them reopening is because I was contacted to edit my earlier 1 star review). Most recently, I had a deja vu moment with loads of students turning up at the venue, only to be turned away by the bar security as nobody had been intimated that CitySalsa had shut down for a few months.
My recommendation: Go when the classes happen. Don't count on them being regular.
