After a last-minute cancellation by a dance teacher to come to a graduation party, I desperately reached out to Arthur Murray in Ridgewood to see if they might be able to come to the party last minute and teach my guests to line dance. They were so kind from the very start and happily sent one of their instructors, Artem, to join us. He was so friendly and an excellent teacher and we all learned a very fun line dance and everyone had a great time! I highly recommend having an Arthur Murray dance instructor come to your next party!

My wife and I started attending Arthur Murray Ridgewood prior to getting married to work on a wedding dance routine together. Even though we both never danced before the entire Arthur Murray team made us feel comfortable and confident in our abilities. We could not be happier with how our dance turned out on our wedding day and this has lead us to continue dancing post wedding because now we have found a shared hobby together in dance. We can't recommend the entire Arthur Murray team enough, a really energetic and fun group to dance with.

Beautiful studio with a great teaching staff. We have been coming here for almost 2 years to first learn to dance for my daughters wedding but then decided to continue on because dancing has been fun and a great way to keep active. The teachers are super friendly and patient and the atmosphere in the studio is very positive and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Our 4.5 yrs old daughter has been going here for more than month now. She loves it so much !! Ms. Nikki is so amazing … she is very understanding, kind and flexible too. Class room is open concept so parents can see kids dancing! We tried dda paramus too but did not like it. Highly recommend this place 👍👍👍

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to dance you can’t do better than Arthur Murray Ridgewood. The instructors are talented, supportive and friendly. It’s a wonderful place to make friends. They’ve created a community of great people who love to dance and it’s always fun to be there whether you’re attending a lesson, class or party. It’s great exercise, social and did I mention, FUN!

This Dance Studio became my home. I’m looking forward to every single dance lesson. All teachers are excellent, very attentive to your needs, and mainly very professional. It is one big family. My wife and I had the most amazing experience with Arthur Murray as we were getting ready for our first dance, and also learning some salsa too! Our first instructor was Anna who was so patient and kind with us! We learned so much from her! And now with Leah, who is also super patient and nice, we picked up right where we left off. With an instructor who is super knowledgeable and helps us to feel confident and prepared to dance in front of an audience! Our first dance went perfectly, and as someone who hates (or rather hated - past tense) to dance, I can happily say I always look forward to dance class every time we have it. And we’ll definitely be continuing to take lessons here going forward. Great lessons. Great date night with the wife. And great people!

Our 13 year old daughter enjoys so much the studio. The whole team ran by Nikki is fabulous. Our daughter takes jazz, lyrical and ballet.
It is a very warm and friendly environment. Very easy to communicate with the studio with any questions, they email back very quickly.

We had my daughter's sixth birthday in the studio with 25 kids. Nikki was fantastic in learning the Broadway show we wanted as the theme, from its music to choreography, and creating a fun experience for all of the kids, boys and girls alike. Her energy and enthusiasm helped everyone feel engaged. She really made our vague ideas a reality and I so appreciate her prep as well as how well run the party was. Thanks too to her teenage dancer helpers! The party space is spacious as well, though there is limited space for parents where they can view the party from outside the main room (more space was available upstairs). Would highly recommend.

We have had such a wonderful experience at HeART for my 6 year old daughter. We started at this studio last fall and they have done such an amazing job throughout the pandemic keeping her safe but learning and entertained. She learned both ballet and tap and performed in an outdoor recital in May, which required so much hard work and coordination by the director with the pandemic but was phenomenal and just perfect! She also just participated in the junior nutcracker dance camp and comes home telling us all about it. We also started our 2 year old at the mommy and me dance classes last year, which again were a great way for her and I to spend some quality time together, have social interaction and she loved having a dance class like her big sister. She is now ready to be in her own classes this fall! We couldn’t be happier with our experiences at HeART for the past year! I also love that HeART does such much for the community throughout the year for all ages and hosts many events to bring the community together!

The best place for kids to start learning dancing

My 8 yo daughter attends jazz classes with miss Nikki at HeART in Motion Studio and we're impressed with every aspect of it! Miss Nikki is so charismatic, cheerful, energizing and she's a very good teacher. The studio is small and we feel a very personalized approach to each student. My daughter will definitely continue taking jazz classes, as well as musical theater. I would highly recommend this dance studio!

Monday night Restorative Yoga has been and continues to be one of my favorite classes. It’s peaceful, serene, and it’s great for my parents, who look forward to it every week and love it. Communication from the instructor is key when taking people through a restorative class and Alex does a phenomenal job with doing just that; all the while keeping us engaged with a clear mind. Alex also explains WHY things are done the way they are. For me this has helped understand the practice of yoga as a whole and has ultimately enhanced my appreciation for such a practice. Other instructors may sit in and monitor the class, who by the way are all pleasant and down to earth. If you’re looking for a revitalizing experience, someone who is easy to work with and is willing to spread their positive energy with you, Heart In Motion is the place for you. I guarantee Alex will make your experience warm, memorable, and leave you looking forward for more to come!

Lynn Needle is the best Pilates Teacher ever- her approach and methods are fantastic and she is terrific for all skill levels. I first noticed I felt better and a short time thereafter, people were asking what I had been doing to look so much better. I always feel better after a Lynn class. She is simply Amazing and we are so lucky to have her so close and so devoted to her adult students.
