Our kids love their RDC classes!

I love DCS and the instructors. It's been a breath of fresh air to find a space that offers thoughtful instruction, and is welcoming and supportive - no matter who you are or where you're at in your dance journey. Thank you DCS!

The best dance studio ever. I have had amazing experiences and fantastic teachers. If you’re curious about learning ballet you will get the best instruction and at the same time feel so great about being in class. The floor is awesome and the space is really gigantic. I am so grateful for this dance studio.

Best adult ballet class I’ve ever taken. The combinations are sophisticated, progress through the class, are highly musical and encourage use of momentum. The corrections are specific, executable and high impact. I think most importantly the atmosphere is one of strong emotional safety and humor, which encourages growth and regular attendance. You are genuinely taken seriously and met wherever you are in your dance journey, regardless of previous training, current capabilities or identity.

I’ve been dancing all my life and since Covid have struggled to find a dance school that offered true intermediate/advanced classes for adults. Their classes are fun, upbeat, and challenging.
Josh, Chris, and Sierra are a wonderful group of people who have created a space for new and returning dancers of all ages to come together and practice their art. Thank you for creating Dance Conservatory Seattle!

DCS is more than just an outstanding, professional, yet inclusive, studio - it is a wonderful, supportive community. I am so grateful to have been referred, and for the South end location! A weekend is not a weekend without Saturday morning class :)!! They have adult class offerings every day of the week but Sunday, and the instructors are absolutely amazing!! Love this place!!

Josh and Chris are the most amazing, dedicated teachers for all ages! They provide a safe and welcoming environment that encourages dancers to achieve technique, artistry, and the joy to dance. The 1 and 1/2 hour adult ballet classes are the best of the best and so worth driving from Olympia to get to class! Sierra is also a magnificent teacher and lovely person. I would encourage any parent to send their children to DCS for ballet training. They will grow into dedicated and compassionate humans.

DCS was one of the first places I came to take ballet class after over a decade away from dance, and I can confidently say that the atmosphere Chris & Josh have cultivated is the reason I am as passionate for ballet as I was as a student. The inclusivity, quality of instruction, and lack of toxicity makes this a safe space for anyone who wants to pursue dance and movement. Namely, with the surge of Adult Ballet, DCS has created multiple accessible classes for anyone to enjoy dance, no matter if you are a professional, or getting into your first ballet class! Love this space, love the people, love Josh & Chris!

I have an extensive background in ballet and modern and hadn’t danced for years when I discovered Dance Conservatory Seattle. They are such a special place offering high quality dance classes and in a friendly atmosphere. From day one Josh, Chris, and Sierra made me feel welcome, valued, and inspired to move again. They are building an amazing school and company that values dance technique, musicality and creativity in a supportive environment. Highly recommend it!

This seems to be the biggest and most popular studio for salsa/bachata and other similar dances here in Seattle, through my research it is also the most expensive. I took 2 beginner salsa classes and they are very slow. I don’t think the instructors pay too much attention to their students as they should. It seems like they are more worried about jam packing each course rather than delivering quality service. A bunch of white ppl and Asians who seem to be obsessed with Latin culture and love speaking Spanish when it is not even necessary because most of your clients are white and do not speak the language. The instructors don’t even say hi to you, they will if you go up to them first. I get y’all have a bunch of students but a simple hello or smile would be nice. High quality location/building, low quality instructors, not friendly unless you’re kissing their behind, very white washed environment (but what can I say, it’s North Seattle).

I had the serendipitous pleasure of crossing paths with Michael during the challenging times of COVID. His unwavering passion for his commitments in life left me genuinely inspired.
Encountering him when I wasn't in the best financial state, I later learned that a community of hundreds rallied together on GoFundMe to save Suenos de Salsa Studio. Reflecting on this, it's evident that the genuine connections he's fostered and the kindness he's extended to others came back to him when he needed it most.
While currently taking a break from the salsa scene, I feel compelled to honor someone who wholeheartedly serves it. Suenos de Salsa is a testament to Michael's brilliance and leadership—a space that genuinely welcomes and embraces everyone.
Kudos to Michael and the entire Suenos de Salsa community for creating a haven that goes beyond dance, embodying the spirit of unity and resilience.
Highly recommended for those seeking not just dance, but an authentic community experience.

BEGINNERS BEWARE: PRACTICING DURING THE SOCIALS IS NOT ALLOWED. I've seen it over and over again, you take the beginner courses but the staff will escourt you off the dance floor for practicing... even if you participated in the lessons prior to the social. It's a very sad practice. Other than this, we love the studio. It's just crazy to hear people reprimanded for practicing.

I brought a group of students to Suenos de Salsa. I have gone to other studios before, but we never had such dynamic, effective instruction. The group had a wonderful time and were very happy with the experience. If you want lessons for yourself or your group, this is the place to go!

Was walking pst last night and went into the loveliest environment. Victor taught me some stuff on the spot then introduced me to owner Mike! I’ll be back. I’ve found my folks.

Dance instruction is fine. Great for the community. Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about the office. They sell merch, but don't deliver and don't respond after repeated attempts. I'm still waiting for a video of my kiddo dancing from spring of 2022. I've asked for refunds repeatedly, but don't get a response. I feel badly for the personal issues of the owner and I also feel a bit scammed by never getting my purchases or money back.

Best salsa and bachata studio in Seattle! Also I really like that they have kids classes too. All the instructors are amazing.

Swing Dance SCT is my favorite place to dance in Seattle! My home scene is in Tacoma but I regularly make the trip for classes and social dances (especially for live music nights). The scene is welcoming and the teachers are both incredibly skilled and approachable. I also love that they do an amateur jazz jam night—it's a great opportunity for dancers and musicians alike!

Swing Dance SCT is an amazing place to learn, social dance, meet new friends, and more. I have been dancing here for 4+ years now, and it is definitely my favorite place to dance in Seattle.
I look forward to it all week! :)

a wonderful community, whether you’re a beginner who doesn’t know where to start but wants to try swing dancing, or an experienced dancer who wants to take their movement to the next level.
they have classes with top notch instructors for all levels, performance opportunities, and social dance nights with live jazz (even some improvised jazz jams if you catch them on the right saturday). if you’re thinking of trying swing dancing, this is the community to start your journey.

Amazing place to learn Lindy Hop! My husband and I just happened past the studio since it is close to our house…little did we know that we would be taking class with world class instructors and joining a welcoming and inclusive community. If you’re at all curious about learning swing, check out their intro classes on Saturday nights at 8:30pm before social dance at 9:00. We started dancing in January and we’re still going strong. Going to SCT has been the best thing we have done all year!

Benny and Ashley are fantastic instructors, and do a lot to make each class as fun, engaging, and instructive as they can.
The classes are also structured for a variety of skill levels, from beginner series targeted at dancers who are brand new to salsa or bachata all the way higher level classes with footwork and partnerwork techniques designed to be challenging and valuable to dancers who've been learning for years.
In addition to socials, individual and partnerwork teams, the studio also regularly hosts workshops from professional dancers from all over the world. I've learned so much at Baila District and have every intention of continuing learning there for years.

A really like their sound proof studios with great wooden flooring that’s easy on your legs. I was very impressed with the instructors that were able make me dance on my first class itself 😀.
Parking might get challenging during the fridays. The neighborhood is great place to have dinner too.

I highly recommend La Clave Cubana's casino, rudea de casino, and bachata courses as well as their styling and Afro-Cuban workshops. Reinier, Daniela, and all of the instructors create the most welcoming dance community. Their instruction is in English and Spanish. Their performance teams are spectacular and they throw an amazing party!

Great salsa/latin dance lessons, awesome parties, friendly partners to dance with and my first trip to Cuba all from one place: La Clava Cubana Salsa.

My series with Vasili was phenomenal.. I loved dancing every Monday night, and had a blast. The people were also great to spend time with! Would highly recommend. :)

I recently had the pleasure of attending La Clave Cubana salsa studio, led by the incredibly talented Reinier and Daniella, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The first thing that caught my attention was their emphasis on teaching original Cuban salsa. This is where the dance truly comes from, and you can feel the authenticity in every step. The atmosphere they've created is special, amazing, and uniquely Cuban.
Reinier and Daniella's love for teaching salsa shines through in their greatly structured step-by-step lessons. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced dancer, they know how to guide you to success. The way they break down each step makes the learning process a breeze.
What's even more astonishing is that this top-quality instruction comes at a very affordable price, especially when compared to other studios in the Seattle area. It's evident that they're committed to making salsa accessible to everyone.
Last but not least, the vibe at La Clave Cubana is just amazing. The community there is warm, welcoming, and filled with friendly faces. I've made a lot of new friends and feel like I've been introduced to a vibrant and engaging community right here in Seattle.
I wholeheartedly recommend La Clave Cubana to anyone looking to dive into the world of salsa. With Reinier and Daniella leading the way, you're sure to have an exhilarating and enriching experience!

Just finished the Path, Rhythm, Flow beginner salsa series with Vassili and Connie. It was a blast! I highly recommend it.
You can jump in any order. Each part of the series covers all the basics and a few specific moves. It took me a few weeks to start to get the hang of it, but now I can see a lot of progress.
I always feel energized after class, and dancing never fails to lift my mood. Go check out a class at Salsa Con Todo!

I've taken beginner rhythm and path classes and loved them both! Vasili, Ana, and Connie are all great teachers with such fun, welcoming energy. The classes have been a high point during my week and I'd definitely recommend them for anyone looking to learn or improve their dance!

I tried learning salsa several times in the past but quickly lost interest as the classes weren’t as engaging as here at Salsa Con Todo. You will always find a lot of people in the class and so you can practice with several partners with varied dancing styles. At salsa con todo you will learn to not just lead (follow) but also follow (lead), enabling you to be an even better lead (follow). There’s also a ton of focus on musicality, helping you dance better to the rhythm. They offer a safe space to learn and be part of a great dancing community. Highly recommend!

Love Suenos!!!
Atmosphere: I was a beginner and had no idea what to expect. Suenos is super welcoming and warm to new comers.
Lessons experience: (Salsa) All the instructors (Mojan, Michael, & Kelly) were friendly and easy going. They were all excellent teachers - giving you pointers and allowing you to practice. They pointed out common mistakes so you can avoid and they gave you extra things you can add to your dance that was slightly above your level to push you. I've taken Level I and Level II - the structure is a warm up, then lesson led by the instructors and you dance switching partners every few minutes, and then at the end you get your phones out and film the instructors doing the steps of the day so you can practice the steps at home. Level I is basic and then Level II really steps it up - it seems many people retake Level II multiple times so they can practice more and there's different steps to learn each time since they mix it up.
The lessons were reasonable - ~$80 for 4 lessons. If you do the membership, you can drop into many classes whenever you want. This is the most worth it if you plan on really dedicating yourself and coming here often.
Dance Socials: They have socials for Salsa & Bachata on Wednesday nights. It's $5 if you're a student and $10 if you're not. I find that these socials are a great time to practice what you've learned. Everyone that comes out are super friendly and welcoming. I have not had a bad experience here. People of all levels come out and dance. It's OK if you are new - you just jump in and have a good time.
If you're thinking of learning Bachata or Salsa, I highly recommend Suenos. I know there are many other studios out there but I think Suenos is the best! Oh one more thing, they teach Salsa On 2 (apparently other places teach On 1).

The Seattle Cuban Dance Fest 2023 was truly an amazing and unique experience. Reinier Valdes and Daniela Gallardo, the host, were very attentive, friendly, and wonderful. All maestros were incredibly talented top notch teachers. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you!

I have been taking dance classes here regularly since the studio opened last summer (2022) and have fell in love with this community!
The studio offers salsa and bachata classes ranging different levels from Monday to Thursday and they also bring guest instructors nationally and internationally during the weekend. I love the classes here as the instructors are very good at explaining the moves and the classes always have very good energy.
The studio is very new and clean, there are two rooms in total (the main dance floor and a small room), you can also book the space for practice when there are no classes. They also host social dance twice a month, and it's very easy to find parking spots in the area.

Supportive, fun, exercise with great music. I’ve been going to Elaine’s class for 23 years!

Over the years I've explored learning latin social dance (salsa, bachata), ballroom/international latin, and belly dance across countries, states, and several studios. I love dancing and I could say I am a very picky and high standard person when it comes to the studio quality, including instructors' skills and their work ethics, studio's group class atmosphere, etc.
I could vouch for Suenos de Salsa that, this is one of the BEST Salsa/Bachata dance studios that I've been across states. Both Michael and Kelly are great dancers themselves, and they teach really well because: 1) their tutorials of techniques and patterns are fun to learn and useful in social; 2) they have very good work ethics and I appreciate their efforts to keep a respectful, inclusive group class; 3) they not only teach the dance moves, but also teach you the musicality - if you are a dance nerd like me who loves techniques and musicality, you will enjoy the class!
I took a lot of group classes but also private lessons. They don't push selling private lesson at all, but I signed up to fine tune my details which I found them SUPER HELPFUL. My way of learning in the private lesson was just to dance with the instructor (Michael or Kelly) casually like dancing in social, and then they will tell me all the nuances that can make me a better dancer, such as how I as a follow should connect my hand with the lead, how to make my turns, spins, better etc.
I definitely highly recommend Suenos de Salsa to anyone who is serious about learning dancing and also having fun!

Baila District's sensual bachata classes are excellent. If you're looking to make progress and improve as a bachata dancer, look no further. The heavy focus on technique and fundamentals has made a huge difference in the quality of both my solo and partner dancing over the last 6 months since I started taking classes here. Margarita and Johnny and Alice and Ankur are excellent instructors who really care about their students and are always seeking opportunities to improve themselves and their instruction.
I also appreciate that Baila District consistently brings top level bachata dancers from out of town to put on workshops and teach and it really benefits the entire Seattle bachata community as a whole. Super awesome place - would highly recommend taking classes here.

Baila District has offered me the best training for Latin dance in Seattle! The instructors are so knowledgeable while also creating a fun, learning environment. I have grown so much as a dancer thanks to Baila District ❤️

Oh my goodness!!! This is definitely the best place to start your journey as a salsa dancer! Oh y bachata! Don’t let the dance intimidate you.. consistency is the key! what better teachers to learn under!
So patient and willing to teach you!

Hands down the best Salsa/Bachata studio in the Seattle area for social or performance dancing. Michael and Kelly are both great dancers themselves and they are genuinely interested in helping you learn. The group classes themselves will expose you to a steep learning curve.
While you might be thrown off by the absence of a "formal syllabus" listed on a page, simply try out the classes for 3-4 months to grasp the teaching style. The lessons are well structured and you will learn a wider variety of dance moves here than at some of the other studios where progress is much slower. You will learn much faster here simply because the teachers don't hold you back artificially just to get you to buy more lessons. A certain competitor which is a franchised dance studio has a notorious reputation for wasting students' time and money - I would go with Suenos de Salsa any day!.
I was never pushed to take private lessons here but did so of my own accord to work on finer aspects of the dances I was interested in.
100% worth the time, money and effort!

I have danced and taken lessons at just about every swing dance venue in Seattle, and SCT is top notch. The instructors here really care, both about providing high quality instruction and about building a community and introducing new people to dancing. They are also some of the best dancers in the scene and have won major awards all around the country. The dances are very welcoming and the live music and jam sessions are super fun. You don't need a partner or any dancing experience to get started. Highly recommend!

I wanted to try a new thing and was happy to come across Lindy Hop. I have a really random background with dance and no experience with swing dance so it was nice to find a studio that offers several levels of swing dance classes. I started with a series of 4 beginner Lindy lessons. I've since joined a team with weekly practices and I can really tell I'm getting better with a great group of people. It's nice to be able to learn more as I become more comfortable with it and there are several levels of team practice to progress though if you want.
No need to bring a partner since there's always someone to dance with. For the classes and lessons you rotate partners anyway and get to learn some of both roles.
Jazz music is so much fun to dance to and Lindy Hop so bouncy the combination just seems to makes you happy.
The instructors also are great about introducing the art form of Lindy Hop as a foundational Black American dance. History is more than just the names of early Black musicians and dancers and it's great to learn more.

Swing Dance SCT is such a wonderful place to learn how to swing dance. The teachers are so welcoming and knowledgeable and are able to prioritize safety and comfort while still giving super informative and fun classes. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the Seattle area looking to start swing dance and might have hesitations-- you will be welcomed with open arms and fully supported!!! This studio also attracts some of the highest level dancers in the Seattle scene, as well (especially during socials) so there's truly something for every level.

I have been taking Lindy Hop classes at this studio for the last year and have been so impressed by the instructors and community that they have built here. In my experience, not all great dancers are great dance teachers, but that could not be farther from the truth at SCT. Ben, Elaine, and Stefan are so great at breaking down the details of each movement and helping people of all levels to improve. The Saturday night social is also my favorite in town! If you’re thinking about getting involved with swing dancing, do it here!!

This is hands down the best place to learn mambo/Salsa on 2 in Seattle! Benny and Ashley are so dedicated to their students and studio. The people here are friendly and are eager to learn.
They also give you the opportunity to either be a great social dancer or join a team to perform at congresses/latin festivals. I recommend this studio to everyone!

I need to edit my review. The admission was free 6 months ago(Sep 22'), and started charging $7. I think $7 is reasonable. However, it became $12 when I went back in March 2023. This place is Wed short time social. I feel $12 is too expensive.
(I wrote this Sep 22')
If you are looking for social on Wed, I recommend this place. Michael, the owner, is always happy to dance with everybody even though they are not taking his classes at this studio. (My former instructor at a different studio dances with his students only who take his private lessons).
I really appreciate the studio's toilet paper is thick and soft, and the bathroom is clean. The studio provides water and cups. Surprisingly free admission. I think Michael should charge us some though. Thank you for creating a great environment, Michael!

I've been taking Cuban dance lessons (mostly Rueda de Casino) from Reiner and Daniela for the last two years. I've enjoyed every minute! They are professional and they challenge their students while keeping lessons light and fun. They've helped to create a wonderful community of salseros!
I only wish I had more time to attend classes and socials. The opportunity is there to dive in....there are multiple classes every week, plus meet-ups at bars, clubs, restaurants, and outdoor venues to practice rueda and salsa.
Reinier and Daniela also host an annual Cuban dance fest that is the best! It's usually in early July...I couldn't go this year, but I went in 2002 and it was phenomenal...with top instructors from around the country! I highly recommend their regular classes, the dance festival, and any workshops they host.

Benny and Ashley are a very talented and hard-working pair of instructors. They'd drill into you the fundamentals of Salsa on 2 and better your technique a lot. Every class I take with them makes me a better dancer. Highly recommend them :)

I thought the Seattle Cuban Festival was amazing, well-organized and so much fun! The teachers were fabulous and I loved the variety of classes. I grew in my dancing skills and understanding of the dance genres. Being on campus was great. Housing, food and classes were all easy walking distance. The teachers and attendees were all friendly and welcoming. I felt very comfortable. Thanks so much. It was a transcendent experience. I'm already looking forward to next year.

It is difficult to put into words how much this business changed my life. I started attending classes in the last quarter of 2018. At the time I was living alone, working a low wage job with odd hours, and I vividly remember feeling so disappointed with how my twenties were going. I felt like I moved to a big city and yet didn't know anybody! I had a coworker at work suggest I take try a new hobby and randomly stumbled upon this place after some googling. That suggestion turned out to be life changing.
Michael, Kelly and all the fabulous instructors at Suenos make dance so easy and fun to learn. Truly, your fears are in good hands with them. They don't shame you, or others when you try. They are excited when you improve even if its a tiny bit. You can see their passion and love for dance in every class. Seattle has an incredible salsa/bachata scene but Suenos is the place I will continue to come back to when I'm back in town because their passion leads to a wonderful and respectful community. I got so many friends from all the people I met. I discovered all the fun salsa clubs with a whole circle of friends. I became a regular attender for a time, and even met my now husband. Though I am not a professional dancer today, I get plenty of compliments at any dancing event I attend. Better yet, I just feel awesome having dance in my life.
However you need to get to Suenos for your first lesson, be that groupon, a new client special, or maybe your spouse forces you, it's money well spent. Enjoy. Bailamos.

Enjoy. Bailamos.

best wedding dance choreographer!

Jenna and her team are excellent

Excellent instructor, friendly & fun people and atmosphere.

Great place, great atmosphere and pleasant people.

I highly recommend La Clave Cubana! I have done classes with Daniela and Rey and learned so much. They are each highly skilled dancers with a wide breadth of knowledge with respect to Cuban dances and are above all patient, encouraging and effective teachers. Furthermore, they just know how to create a really fun environment in which to learn. Great for dance newbies or seasoned latin dancers looking to add some depth and flavor to their dancing.

Positive, supportive, talented staff and extraordinary sportsmanship on award winning teams; my daughters love it here! Can't say enough...

WSP has everything you want as a parent & everything you need as a child.
Christine and her instructors are amazing! New dancers and performers quickly fit right in to the safe loving environment full of music skilled dancers and performers. My daughter started with Ballet , loved it and moved on to contemporary dance which enhanced her routines in gymnastics.
For all ages and skill levels if you want to learn to dance you have found the best place in town.

Loving, caring, strong self and well discipline well being very professional. Christine Juarez has made is possible for me to continue dance and after high school I'm going to become a dance teacher. My love of ballet is extremely strong and I wouldn't have it any other way ❤

We are so blessed to have WSPA so close to home. Mrs. Juarez has such a great way of relating to all ages of children. Her knowledge of Dance and performing is amazing. My daughter has improved so much in the last three years thanks to Mrs. Juarez and all the other fabulous teachers at WSPA.

We love going to WSPA! Both my son and I each take ballet and it is one of the things I look forward to most each week. Christine is so accommodating and the teacher’s are friendly and knowledgeable.

My daughters love love love Ms. Juarez! You cannot ignore her love and passion for children in dance. West Seattle Performing Arts has become our second home. I highly recommend this dance studio if you’re looking for a positive and caring dance family.

Both of my daughters have taken beginning Ballet classes here and my son even “tried a class” to see if it was for him. All of my kids have felt welcome and like they belong. Christine always has a smaller and words of encouragement for her students. Based on my own experience as a dance professional
I believe this to be a great place for the developing dancer. This family run business is a gem!

Excellent instructors who make it fun and engaging for the little ones to embark on the ballet journey. Miss Juarez is an exceptional instructor and just a wonderful person!! My daughter adores her and her assistants (from more advanced classes) who come to help out during the class. What I also like is there is choreography and theme to dances, kids are exposed to grace and beautiful classical music from an early age, and they also get to perform end of the year which they are so proud of!

This dance studio is amazing. The owners Mel & Moira are extremely communicative and get back to you quickly. The classes are taught by professional dance instructors and have taught so much to my daughter in a short amount of time. Because it's a smaller studio, they can do a lot more with teaching, participation, etc. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Xoxo

Reinier and Daniela Valdes are excellent instructors who really know how to teach, not just dance. Steps are introduced gradually working up to the complete routine. Even beginning dancers feel comfortable. I dance much better after every class. Their Seattle Cuban Dance Festival in July was the highlight of the year with excellent visiting dancing stars teaching and performing. The music and dancing at the fabulous Club Sur each night were very memorable. I highly recommend them!

The Lindy Hop and swing dance scene at SCT is full of wonderful people, the studio is gorgeous, the attached cafe is full of jungle plants, and the staff at the studio care a lot about the dances they teach as well as the community they foster. The owner and his team have created something very special in Fremont. I highly recommend checking it out!

My daughter has been dancing here since she was 4, and she is now 9 years old and loves it! The teachers are amazing, and they use dance to teach life skills, while learning dance moves in a fun environment. Jenna and her team have built a program that allows kids to grow and really come into their own. We are very thankful!

Vanessa is a magnificent teacher! She helped us create a choreographed dance for the first dance at our wedding. She made it so much fun and so easy to learn.

Great place for the kids to learn dance, etc. In the Southend

Inclusive of all; supportive of children with neurodiverse challenges.

We love this place. A great sense of community and hearts in the right place. My daughter gets so much from her time there.

My daughter is on her third session at WSPA and I can’t speak highly enough about Christine and her program. My daughter is inspired, excited and has become quite skilled in her dancing abilities. The performances are far from what you’d expect from typical dance shows with so much raw art, amazing music and TALENT! Less glitz, more creativity (still totally adorable) We are so fortunate to have WSPA in our community and we look forward to watching our child flourish in this artistic environment.

Our kids take classes here and has excellent teachers and a welcoming community. Such a fun place.
