I was misdiagnosed by the doctor. I was having issue with eyes,first time I got blood vessel ruptured in one of my eye and I went to see the doctor and I was told that it’s normal, use I drops. Next time I was not seeing things clear and dr. Paul told that it’s dry eyes and my oil glands are blocked and I should get laser treatment from his clinic for$1350 which is not covered by insurance.
Luckily I didn’t do it and went to see another eye doctor. With god’s grace he did his job passionately and did lot of tests and referred me to the specialist , I got my MRI done where they found that it’s a pituitary cyst in my brain which is compressing my optic nerves and that’s causing me vision problem.
Now to fix it I will have to go through the brain surgery which is life threatening.
I wish dr. could have worked more passionately and taken it serious then this problem could have been diagnosed in 2023 but I guess that’s where we come to know the difference between good and bad doctors.
I never had issue otherwise, there staff is nice to talk but the dr. will not diagnose you properly which is the whole purpose to see any doctor
If you have some serious issue find your self better doctor otherwise good luck to you.

The optometrists are awesome at Edmonton Vision Center. I had a badminton birdie hit into my eye and lost my vision temporarily. They took me in right away (after 8pm) and did careful checks on my eyes. They noticed there was internal bleeding which cause temperary loss of vision. They connected with Royal Alex emergency doctor and set up an appointment for me. They gave me instructions how to take care before my appointment. Great place, very Profesional doctors! Highly recommended!

Dr. Champion was amazingly friendly and explained every test result in words I could understand.
Clark was wonderful helping to choose frames. He was patient and very friendly

Alex has been amazing! She went above and beyond by dropping off my glasses to the Terwillegar location since she knew it would be a shorter drive for me for me to pick them up from there instead. All the staff have been nice as well but just wanted to give a special shout-out to her:)

I had a lovely and positive experience today. The staff are so nice. After my eye exam all the staff came out, including Dr Singh, to help me find the best glasses.

I really enjoyed my experience at this clinic. I booked a general eye exam and the receptionist was able to work with my ever-changing hectic schedule. Dr Prince was extremely knowledgeable and charming. The front desk staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. The eye exam went well Dr. Prince caught a minor issue and referred me to a specialist. Happy with the outcome of my visit.

I haven't had an eye appointment since I was a child. Edmonton Vision Center was a very warm and friendly environment. They were very professional and informative and provided me with a number of options for eyewear. Taking into consideration my financial situation as well as understanding the costs involved with new glasses. Not to mention the thorough eye exam they provided. Highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Prince has been our family Optometrist for over 25 years. He was referred to us by the Observatory optician owners after moving into the University area and requiring a new Optometrist. Dr. Prince is very professional in demeanour, extremely knowledgeable in his field, thorough, and will answer any question or concern one may have. There are a number of other Optometrists at Millcreek as well. The reception staff are most courteous.The Technicians do a great job of selecting frames to suit one’s facial features, keeping in mind cost and functionality. They are most helpful with any repairs or repurposing of previous glasses that are not that significantly different in strength into a re-tweaked spare set or sunglasses. The clinic can be a one a one stop inclusive shop where there are no guilt vibes given if one wishes to look around and purchase their glasses elsewhere. If one is looking for an excellent Optometry centre, I would highly recommend Millcreek.

They ruined my $800 lenses (I have a very high prescription). I was there for an appointment and asked for my glasses to be cleaned, a moment later the optical assistant returned with my glasses and a waiver as my glasses weren’t from there. I was asked to sign for her to proceed. Before signing I asked what the waiver was for, the answer I received was ‘in case we break your frame, but I’m not going to break your frame’. I put my glasses on (perfectly fine at this point) and signed agreeing to the disclosure regarding the frame (no mention of potential damage to lenses). She returned my glasses to me 10 minutes later, immediately something was off, there was a blurry spot in my vision. Upon closer inspection, there were hazy spots on both of my lenses (left worse than right), when I asked what caused the damage I was assured they didn’t damage them, when I pressed for more answers (clearly something happened while they were being cleaned!) I was shown my signed waiver and told the best they could offer me was 15% off to replace them-all the while denying that they caused any damage. The owner was away when this occurred, so one of the managers offered to bring it to his attention when he returned 5 days later. Thankfully I had an old pair of glasses to wear as mine were unusable. I waited to hear what the resolution would be, once he returned to the office I was informed the best they would do was 30% off to replace my $800 lenses. I rejected their offer as I did not want to spend any of my money there to replace their damage. The optical business I originally bought my glasses from came through and offered me 50% off of replacement lenses (and they didn’t even cause the damage!). Please check out Venus Eye Boutique if you’d prefer an optical office with customer service. It is also beyond me why they need to have a waiver signed to clean a pair of glasses in the first place— clearly they have had issues in the past. It is really unfortunate this happened as I had had GREAT experiences with the optometrists here, but don’t let them clean your glasses!

My contact lens got lost in my eye lol. I was not able to flush it out and I called the shop just before closing to see if there was a Dr who could help me. Dr. Choi stayed and waited for me to arrive. She was extremely thorough in her exam and made sure everything was okay. My eye was super irritated and she recommended the appropriate care. Her staff who were there were all super friendly and accommodating as well.

Dr. Sharma is a great optometrist. He is knowledgeable, competent and makes you feel at ease with any questions or concerns. His employees are also kind and courteous. My whole family goes to see him at his beyond vision millwoods clinic.

I had a great experience with Louie at Varsity Optical. I left ordering my sunglasses until the week before I was leaving on vacation, and Louie expedited my order to make sure I had them for my trip. When there was an issue with the lenses during installation, he instead fitted them with a different set of lenses that he swapped out for the originals when I returned from vacation. This is my second pair of glasses with Varsity Optical and the customer service has always been excellent.

my partner had previously gotten glasses from here and had an amazing experience so i thought i would try as well. the optician fixed my old broken glasses that were not from the store as well as helped me pick out a new pair. the customer service here is above and beyond and you get your new glasses in about 20 minutes if they have your lenses in stock. so amazing. whenever i need glasses i will absolutely be going here.

Dr. Singh and his staff have always been helpful. I’ve gotten not only good treatment and assessment but they are always encouraging, engaging and polite. Dr. Singh has picked up on other issues and has referred me for this. He’s called me back just to make sure everything is okay. Come here for top notch service. They treat customers well.

Worst shop ever. Recommended a pair of cheap plastic frame and single vision lenses and costed me 350 for my 8 year old. Later talked to an optician working at another shop. He told me it cost 1/3 at Costco.
The frame broke in 6 months btw. What kind of low life rip off little kids?

This was my first experience with this Centre, and it was an amazing one. Staff at the Front Desk were courteous, helpful and professional, whether it was via email, telephone or in person. Sadly I did not catch the name of the staff who attended to me. She was super nice.
Dr. Jimmy Prince was a friendly Doctor who I bet can make any person feel at ease. He treated me well, gave me all the information I needed and answered my queries to the point. I would highly recommend this Centre and Dr. Jimmy.

My experience at Millcreek Optometry has been an entirely positive. Dr. Bob Champion is all ease and kindness, providing pertinent information and reassurance. I do not feel rushed even if I get chatty! Etta was gracious and amiable when it came to frame selection. There were many good choices, but she assisted in making the best selection which I’m now wearing. She was complimentary but I never felt pressured. Front staff are friendly, fun, attentive and efficient. Altogether, it’s a wonderful place to get eye care.

This is a really awesome experience. I would like to buy a pair of sunglasses here. Once I got inside, people working there were so nice and showed me many choices and helped me with the best one. With the best smiling face in the world, the young girl helped me for examine the eyes. The doctor was even nicer to explain my eyes and related things. He was very patient and gentle, professional and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot by short meeting with him. Such a nice gentleman! He also told me that my eyes were really healthy which relaxed me. Because I worried too much about my eyes, I replied on my one good eye too much. The boss was a very nice lady, she patiently and nicely helped me about everything. I felt like at home when I stayed there. When I talked about my health card without a plastic bag, she immediately gave me one for free. Such a kind and nice lady. I love being their customers. After just two days, my sunglasses are ready. Actually, this is one of my best shopping experiences in the past. Very cheerful!

A very infuriating experienced! how terrible the service is! me and my wife were there on time for our eye examination, and suddenly a man and his family were late fore more than 30 minutes cuts our que. I told one of the staff that you’re cutting our line for a late patient, but, she went straight to the optometrist to arrange what the guy needs. To make it worst, the optometrist accommodated the guy and his family in front of us. If they could only ask in a good manner. Thank you for assisting your new clients with such manner.

We have had great service and great prices from the Optical Shop. For what I paid for new lens in my old frame, I was able to get a new pair of glasses PLUS top line lens. They have great prices (better than Hakim and better selection as well). Their service has been outstanding as well. We had a problem with the lens in our new glasses. They sent them back and got it fixed - no problem. I am happy to recommend them - they seem more than fair and great people to deal with as well!
