Mostly very good. The appetizer was all very good but the seafood paella that everyone wrote about was a bit too salty for me, couldn’t finished..

I recently dined at Elche Restaurant with a group of friends and family, arriving at 10:15 PM with the understanding that they close at midnight according to their Google profile. We were a party of four adults and three children, and we were excited to enjoy some delicious food, which did not disappoint, food was great.

However, our experience was marred by unprofessional service from the head waiter. Despite being informed that the restaurant closes at midnight, he insisted that we hurry as the kitchen was closing at 11 PM. He even took the menu while my friend was still reading it, which felt rather rude.

The situation escalated when we requested another bottle of wine at 10:55 PM. The waiter informed us that we had only ten minutes to drink it, which seemed absurd. When I asked for clarification due to his poor English, he reluctantly extended the time to twenty minutes. This felt more like a rule enforced on children rather than patrons in a dining setting.

Ultimately, I decided to forgo the wine, requested the bill, and left the restaurant. While the food was enjoyable, the poor service left a sour note on our evening. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the overall dining experience.
Family of four visiting Barcelona for 3 nights and this was by far the best meal we had. Very close to our hotel too. Lovely staff, very professional, lovely atmosphere and clean linen tables. As for the food it was so so good as was the price. All four us happy and it was a family night to remember. We thanked the manager who seemed like the owner. Lovely lady. Thank you. We will be back to Barcelona and will defo re visit this wonderful restaurant.
We had the classic pella and the paella rosso. The waiter made is very clear not to mix those to paellas, buy eat them seperatly. And oh my was he right.

The classic paella was flavourfull with plenty of seafood, the rice was cooked beautifully.

The paella Rosso was a flavour bomb. Perfectly cooked rice topped with beautiful red shrimps. I would recommend this dish if you are looking for something extraordinary.

La Pedreta is one of my favorite places to have lunch, especially with their Menu del Día. I think the price is reasonable for the quality of food and service that you get. The place is usually busy during lunchtime, but it’s worth the wait! The last time I ate here was the day after my wrist surgery. They were so attentive that before serving the steak I ordered, the chef sliced the meat already for me ❤️

We ordered peppers, mixed paella and a jug of sangria. The peppers were ok, however the paella was great with lots of seafood and meat in it. The sangria tasted great and the people were very lovely and helpful.

One of the very best meals that I’ve ever had in a restaurant (London resident).

Each and every dish was beautifully presented, and packed with flavour!

You can tell that so much care, attention and love has gone into both the planning and execution of the menu.

Highlights for me and my partner were the duck paella and the ceviche; exquisite!

The service was also top-notch, shout out to Precious for looking after us!

A 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

This was our first time to have dinner here. We were greeted by very friendly staff who provided amazing service to us throughout our time at Arume. The food was delicious and was a good price. We would highly recommend reserving a table for dinner. The duck paella and the beef rib were delicious!!!!
Great atmosphere and delicious food. I came in for a late night dinner without a reservation and was seated right away. The staff all seemed excellent and Brando was super attentive and funny. The duck paella and scallops were amazing, one of the best meals I have had in Barcelona.

This is a MUST when it comes to restaurants in Barcelona. Naomi and Brando are absolutely amazing. We came 2 nights in a row and were greeted with hugs and silly jokes our second night. It felt like we were part of a big family. They even let us take picture behind the bar as we were newly engaged! As big foodies, my fiancé and I were so impressed. This will be a forever home for us when we come back to Barcelona. The food is perfect. The service is beyond amazing. The people are everything you could wish for.
Had dinner for 2 nights there, food is fresh and tasty. Service is great, the first time even though the kitchen was closed they seated me and cooked paella for me.
We were looking forward to a meal here. So far, Barcelona hasn’t disappointed in meal offerings, until now. The service was wonderful and our servers were very accommodating. However, the food did not meet our expectations. If you are looking for an upscale location, with decent appetizers, this is the place. Entrees were not as good. The paella was edible. Do not order steak here. Again, the service was great and the servers took care of us. Would not dine here again.
The recipe used by the chef may be unique but the execution was not very good.
The paella was salty.
The paella was decent only because the chicken and seafood were cooked correctly.
The “Paella” was more like Risotto.
There wasn’t a hint of Socarrat. That is the slightly burnt black gold.
I believe it is hard to produce Socarrat especially if the Paella is cooked for only 40 minutes. Nice try but a complete failure.
The pricing on the menu is confusing… example: Paella $24.50 means the cost is $49.00. Each Paella dish on the menu is served for 2 people.
If you order two different types of paella the cost would be
(1) $24.50 x 2 = $49.00 plus
(2) $24.50 x 2 = $49.00
for a total of $98.00.
I think you can find another restaurant in Barcelona that serves Paella and you would be happy with that choice.

Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Hippy-like vibe. I got coffee with milk; friend got cappuccino. I got nachos and friend got Spanish fried eggs … we loved the food!!!

the superb food and service made the place a 5 stars in my opinion. the paellas were flavorful, and the beef ribs (wow)!! the octopus was a very unique dish which I also absolutely loved. ultimately, what made the restaurant so great was the staff + the manager - they were so helpful & friendly which made the experience an amazing one for me.

Would really recommend :-)

Food was delicious & amazing service throughout. The duck paella was a little too salty, would have opted for less salt instead. Seafood paella stood out and was just right. Beef rib was good too. 25 euros per pax
Don’t get paella anywhere else but here in Barcelona. The staff is friendly and explains how to enjoy the paella in the tradtional way. The paella is the best I’ve ever had, with fresh calamari, prawns, delicious rice, and the “black gold” burnt rice on the bottom of the pan. Delicious. The cheesecake with strawberry topping was rich and fresh too. I’ll be telling my friends about this place if they visit Barcelona.
Fresh ingredients, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Unlike the tourist traps they make the paella fresh just after your order and you can watch the whole process of cooking if you like
10/10!
(Also they offer one portion of paella so if you are traveling alone don’t worry

We had lunch at the restaurant. It is super close to Sagrada Familia so perfect to combine them both. There is a lunch menu which is 15eur and you can choose starter, main dish, dessert and a drink. Very good price. The food was tasty, we loved everything we ate, including some tapas. Staff was nice and polite, service is fast!

There are many types of paella you can get in Spain and seafood paella is usually the popular pick, but I would strongly recommend to get their famous duck paella if you are able to visit @arumebarcelona ! It was so delicious I finished every grain of rice!

The decor of the restaurant is warm and cozy, and all the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. I had an awesome time! One of my favorite meals of the trip!
Best paella I have ever had. They prepare it fresh so there is a fair amount of waiting time for the food but you can order other starter dishes and drinks whilst waiting. They explain how best to eat it and paella etiquette also. Thoroughly enjoyed the paella.

We had the no-shells seafood paella and it was very well seasoned. The rice itself was a little dry but otherwise it was great.
Honestly amazing restaurant, great food and even better service. I came here by myself and all the staff were so attentive and helpful, such a great experience. The paella was phenomenal, on the menu has the story about paella and how to eat it. Loved it and you can even see how your food is being cooked

This was the worst food we ate in Barcelona, and one of the priciest. 3 plates and 2 glasses of wine came to over 70€. The scallops, squid, and shrimp were all very rubbery and not flavourful.

The best paella in the city! OMG! It was amazing and our waiter Fernando was fantastic. We will come back!!! (ATTENTION I CHANGED MY REVIEW FROM 5 TO 3 STARS) We came back the next day and the food was still incredible but the service from the WAITER FRANCISCO (if I am not wrong) was terrible. Not polite, arrogant, and completely forgot about us outside. It is just sad how a place with such good food can be messed up with horrible and bad service! So sad!

Open Late on a Sunday compare to other restaurants.

I sat outside by the terrace. I was not informed that they charge 10% for outside dinning and I found out when the bill came and there is a small clause on your paper menu about it. Just an FYI

Starter - Mejillones Con Alioli 👍
Main - Seafood Paella
Ending off with a Cheese board.

Food was great :) Sangria was strong 😂☝🏻
Gracias

Squid ink Paella is tasty and good. Perfect for one person
But more importantly, the crew here has excellent service. Friendly, amazingly knowing what to recommend. Will definitely come back when I have the chance.
Oh ya, his name is Felipe. Great guy! Look for him when you’re here.

Very nice cosy restaurant near sagrada familia attraction. Mixed paella is good with right amount of meat and seafood just as we are getting a bit sick of seafood paella. Egg Truffle fries with jamon also good as well. Calamari was quite average suggest to skip. Service is 👍 and price is fair.

Great and great service. However, it's very formal, so if you prefer a more casual lunch request to sit outside as it's more relaxed. The seafood paella was really good and worth a try

A great establishment located a few steps away from Casa Mila. It's hard to find by name because it says it's a place for paella - La paelliaria. You enter a nicely furnished restaurant, with fresh fish on display. The service is attentive, but we had a hard time communicating in English. We ordered Calamari in Galician style, but at the same moment I saw Andalusian style ones and asked them to change them, the arch waiter agreed, and in the end they brought both. These in Gaelic looked like pig's ears... boiled and sprinkled with spicy red pepper, on boiled potatoes - the taste gets used to them. Andalusian-style squid - the tastiest in all of Barcelona. Since I asked for an opinion on the paella, I asked the waiter if we only had the calamari as an order so that he wouldn't bring the paella for two, and he realized with a look of wonder that I was asking if that was all we could eat, then he hurried to reassure us that no problem. Given the approaching Christmas holidays, the restaurant was beautifully and creatively decorated. It was definitely an impressive experience!
Very good experience, their chocolate cake with ice cream is wow.
Mixed seafood/chicken Paella was also tasty.
Would expect a bit more from homemade seafood soup - tasted a bit more like a sauce, but in the end entire experience was worthy!

Wine, beer, cola, cheese cake, a shot of whisky and dishes described above were in total around 72 euros.

Mixed paella,

Had the Gambas, mejillones, paella and much more. Rolled out of there quite full!

Excellent experience overall. For us, being very picky foodies, the restaurant met all our expectations. Food was just right. Excellent flavoring of all dishes. Everything very fresh. We went to this restaurant twice even though there were so many places to choose from.

Delicious is small word, so many flavors in paella wow. Mojito was heavenly great. As for the service, waiter were so friendly and polite, I really felt great there. Thank you for great experience.

Visited this place due to the reviews but unfortunately it doesn't live up to the hype.
I'd say the paella was alright but not great. Felt a little too moist and they did not have any burnt bits (Socarrat) which on the synopsis on their menu mentions all good paella should have.
How ever their chicken tenders were excellent as it looks hand made and fresh.

Drinks were mostly bottled.

Ambiance was nice and relaxing. Felt more like a beach Cafe.

Overall it's alright if you're looking for somewhere to eat near the square.

Went there with a group of 8 and had a wonderful time. We ordered a number of tapas to start and then chose 3 different paellas which we shared... paella negra, mariscos and Elche's chicken and sausage. All were excellent. Service was great as well. Go there. Eat there. LOVE it there!

Lively place with great atmosphere and food, but rather slow service. The smoked paella is a favorite of the house - and for a reason! Recommended if you are not in a hurry.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time at El Foro!! We highly recommend. We ordered the medium dried steak. It was the best steak we’ve ever had. The service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly. We will definitely return when we visit Barcelona!

A must place for Paella! Back in 2016 was my first trip and visit to Barcelona. My friend and I were definitely in search for excellent paella. After visiting Sagrada, we walked around the area and saw this cozy nice place called " La Pedreta". We were welcomed by the staff named Alex and helped us to order as first timer tourists. Alex was so kind to help us with the menu and we tried some tapas, paella ( of course! ) and a dessert to complete our brunch … and it was awesome! After a day, we tried some restaurant near our apartment but it was not the same satisfaction we experienced in La Pedreta. Just after 2 days, we went back just to have lunch again before we leave Barcelona, and Alex has been consistently warm and friendly to us. I came back in 2020 and the food was the same goodness as expected. I am glad to see the same service. I can't wait for my next visit, soon! :)

Everything was excellent! The grilled veggies were actually smoked right at the table, some of the best flavored vegetables I've ever had. The meats were super tender ans flavorful. Only criticism is that the bbq platter comes on a heated plate, which tends to overcook the meat you don't immediately scoop on your plate.
