I recently dined at Elche Restaurant with a group of friends and family, arriving at 10:15 PM with the understanding that they close at midnight according to their Google profile. We were a party of four adults and three children, and we were excited to enjoy some delicious food, which did not disappoint, food was great.

However, our experience was marred by unprofessional service from the head waiter. Despite being informed that the restaurant closes at midnight, he insisted that we hurry as the kitchen was closing at 11 PM. He even took the menu while my friend was still reading it, which felt rather rude.

The situation escalated when we requested another bottle of wine at 10:55 PM. The waiter informed us that we had only ten minutes to drink it, which seemed absurd. When I asked for clarification due to his poor English, he reluctantly extended the time to twenty minutes. This felt more like a rule enforced on children rather than patrons in a dining setting.

Ultimately, I decided to forgo the wine, requested the bill, and left the restaurant. While the food was enjoyable, the poor service left a sour note on our evening. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the overall dining experience.

Family of four visiting Barcelona for 3 nights and this was by far the best meal we had. Very close to our hotel too. Lovely staff, very professional, lovely atmosphere and clean linen tables. As for the food it was so so good as was the price. All four us happy and it was a family night to remember. We thanked the manager who seemed like the owner. Lovely lady. Thank you. We will be back to Barcelona and will defo re visit this wonderful restaurant.

We were looking forward to a meal here. So far, Barcelona hasn’t disappointed in meal offerings, until now. The service was wonderful and our servers were very accommodating. However, the food did not meet our expectations. If you are looking for an upscale location, with decent appetizers, this is the place. Entrees were not as good. The paella was edible. Do not order steak here. Again, the service was great and the servers took care of us. Would not dine here again.

We had the no-shells seafood paella and it was very well seasoned. The rice itself was a little dry but otherwise it was great.

This was the worst food we ate in Barcelona, and one of the priciest. 3 plates and 2 glasses of wine came to over 70€. The scallops, squid, and shrimp were all very rubbery and not flavourful.

Great and great service. However, it's very formal, so if you prefer a more casual lunch request to sit outside as it's more relaxed. The seafood paella was really good and worth a try

Very good experience, their chocolate cake with ice cream is wow.
Mixed seafood/chicken Paella was also tasty.
Would expect a bit more from homemade seafood soup - tasted a bit more like a sauce, but in the end entire experience was worthy!

Wine, beer, cola, cheese cake, a shot of whisky and dishes described above were in total around 72 euros.

Mixed paella,
