Nice product. Personally I don't support businesses where staff think they are above others. Organised a "Click and Collect". My husband's first comment was the snobby attitudes of the staff when he collected on my behalf. If they view a well dressed businessman this way I would hate to think how they treat others. Never again!
Love the Aje brand and the pieces I already own however after visiting the James St store today I left incredibly disappointed. We waited 20+ minutes for a change room to try on 3 dresses I was really interested in only for other girls to be ushered into the change rooms despite arriving after us. No acknowledgment that we were standing there waiting.
After reading the other reviews of this store I should have gone to the city store instead.

Went into Aje James St recently bridesmaid dress shopping and the girls behind the counter couldn’t have been more unhelpful/uninterested. We found it a bit strange they only had size 8 dresses on the racks so we were constantly asking for size 10-12. The staff had no initiative to bring out any other dress other than the ones we asked for (and it took them ages to find them). No way would I support that store.
I was that annoying customer who had no idea what to buy for two birthday presents.
Despite being the busiest time of year, the staff member made me feel like I was the only person there and personalised my experience to make sure I got exactly what I needed. Albeit being a high end fashion store, you don't leave feeling like you don't belong.

Fantastic support from Ruth- she picked out a fabulous dress for me that I hadn’t spotted. So delighted with my piece!
My favourite Aje store! All the ladies here have been so helpful and kind with me. Sometimes mishaps happens but they go above and beyond in making sure you are happy and satisfied with your purchase. Thank you Aje James st for looking after me! 🥰
Excellent service from Erin and Ella in particular. Ordered in swimsuits I wanted to try until I found one I loved. Post baby body and no body/size shaming at all. Staff could not help me enough even though they were busy. Very impressed.
I’m glad I’m not the only one saying this but I went in today and the blonde old lady was beyond rude! I will not be stepping into this store again! I’m also considering not buying from Camilla again which is devastating for me as it’s all my toddler wears in summer. I went in with my toddler and she said to me whilst buying, why don’t you come back another day without your child, we don’t have a playground here. Meanwhile I was holding my daughter in my arms the entire time. Rude miserable woman, I felt attacked for being a mum! She’s a mumist! For someone to tell me I shouldn’t shop with my kid is beyond disgusting. Parents be ware you will be treated with disrespect. Side note my sister in law went in 2 months ago and was treated badly by the same woman. I think someone should look into this. Ciao

Went into store today, and was greeted by the most delightful young lady. Grace helped me shop for any event and made me feel so special. Grace is a great employee and I will definitely be back to shop when she is there.

The staff at Venroy on James Street are so helpful and always go above and beyond for me when in store! Lily is so lovely & friendly, she is always so patient with me and my indecisiveness. If something isn’t in stock in store, she always organises this for express delivery to my house from another store!
Always such lovely service here! Staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help you find the perfect item. Stayed in the Calile over the weekend and easily found a last minute outfit with the team on Sunday afternoon. Will definitely be back!
The team working today was amazing - They helped me out with a birthday outfit that I am in love with. Service and attentiveness was great (also Stella was very patient with my indecisiveness).
Loved the clothes, but service in this store is unprofessional. I was ignored at the counter by one of the staff who was on phone and after standing there for 5 minutes he hung up the phone, continued to ignore us and then finally asked “can I help you” in a condescending tone whilst we were waiting to pay at the counter. He couldn’t care less about the sale and threw the eftpos machine and bag at me across the counter - all the while, not once looking up from the computer. He came across very rude and made the experience very awkward and uncomfortable. First and last time shopping at this branch.

Beautiful product. Arrogant inexperienced staff. We would have spent double if the staff were more attentive. 3 staff, completely ignored us…. Maybe James street need to re think the staff…
Went in today for Boxing Day to return with full proof of purchase that were bought full price 3 days ago unfortunately returning as they didn’t suit. ( the store was very quiet at this time so not over ally busy) What seem to be manager refused to do refund and said you can only get store credit for full priced which is incorrect according to there policy. Also saw they had an item in store according to online and they didn’t even bother to look just search the name in their system which they search the wrong name anyway. Queen street store has much nicer ladies willing to help unfortunately James street not so much.
Aje are wasting their money on staff at their James Street store. 4 girls being paid to ignore you the whole time, would be much more efficient and cheaper to have a self service checkout in store.
I was guided from another branch and visited, but the staff was so rude.
Ordered a dress for click and collect, followed by 6 calls to pick it up, they kept telling me they would look and call me back and no one ever did. It wasn’t until it was too late until the day of my event on Monday that i requested a refund as my order couldn’t be fulfilled and picked up in the expected time frames. I suggest calling the store you’re collecting from ahead of placing an online order to ensure your item exists, to avoid disappointment.
Aje is an Australian Brand I have always loved and supported. Unfortunately after today's experience at the James St Store I can't say the same. Walked in with my partner to purchase a birthday outfit and was not greeted by the 4 unoccupied staff. While browsing/ selecting a few things to try no one asked if I wanted to start a change room or if I needed assistance. I then asked for an item in an alternative size and was left awkwardly waiting with no response. The retail industry has suffered in the current climate and I would like to keep supporting a local boutique like Aje. But the customer service game is seriously lacking considering the prices of the gorgeous fashion. I don't often leave reviews but I couldn't get through to the customer service phone line. Sorry team - pick up the service game.

The staff were beyond amazing! So lovely, welcoming and helpful. They helped us find exactly what we were looking for and gave really great styling tips. Can’t recommend this Boutique more!

Was in recently to make a purchase for my Wife and must say the service I received from one of the staff, Rachael, was exceptional. As I have no idea of shopping really, once I explained my Wife’s taste she nailed it and got me the goods and I had one very happy Wife. Thanks again Rachael for your wonderful service. I’ll be back and I’m sure my Wife will be too.

OMG I want to live here! Anna and Ari were so knowledgeable, professional, gorgeous, inspiring, and downright FUN! Absolutely no pressure - other than the calling of the beautiful clothes! The girls were so patient as they had to ring me up three times because I kept finding another gorgeous outfit. And there was parking! Social distancing stickers on the floor, the most luxurious hand sanitizer (of course). It was just a wonderful experience and made my week?Month? Seriously, I live at a safe distance or I’d be there every day!
We came to Camilla about 4 years ago with a big budget to spend, ended up leaving empty handed because staff were so rude. This time, we were greeted with open arms by two lovely girls named Isabell & Brooke. They were so wonderful and helped us out and had a laugh with us. So glad to see the staff so happy in their jobs. Will be returning!

My first experience at a Camilla store couldn't have been better. Service was excellent! So many ways to wear a beautiful piece. I could not be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended if you want great service rather than at David Jones, who just didn't want to know.
