Apparently, if you want to pay with cash, that's only available from 7 AM. There is no sign or communication about that anywhere.
When you go to the counter staff asks you "what do you want". Politeness is not the strongest skill either.
I don't leave negative reviews usually but when I see and experience something like this I just can't not to.

The staff were so helpful and the cashier went above and beyond to help us find halal products, so thank you so much! Will be coming again :)

what schedule does this store have? it's 9:40 p.m. and the employee at the store is no longer serving customers with lottery tickets.. what's going on? do you respect customers? it is horrible to write on the internet that you are open until 11 pm and you do not serve customers and show zero respect

Really friendly staff! I go to this Tesco express almost everyday and it is rare to find a shop with such a good and friendly team!
Such a lovely little store. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a lot of vegan options aswell. Almost everyday, there are new fresh vegan meals. I just feel at home every time I walk into this store. If you are looking for organic vegetarian and vegan food options, this store definitely has a wide range of options for you. They even have vegan cakes and the list goes on and on. So overall I give this store 5/5🌟
what schedule does this tesco have? after 10 p.m. they don't serve lottery tickets anymore... set the schedule until ten o'clock or have respect for customers

I had something delivered to brothers for collection as I don’t live locally. My sister in law had to collect as I had a bereavement and had to cancel my trip to Cambridge. She collected within the two weeks Zalando allowed. The assistant insisted she should tell me I’m late to collect it. (I’m not) She told him I don’t live locally and had to change plans as I’d had a family member die and had to go to the funeral. “Just tell her she’s late” he said.
What an insensitive brute. Where is the compassion and kindness? Does he honestly think collecting a blinking parcel to save him inconvenience of storing it (which is what the carrier pays him to do?) is more important than supporting and being with my family?

Worst experience ever. It’s a shame that SPOILED products were not considered for reimbursement. Poorly organised and Never going to visit this shop in future.

Great for not being in London... good customer service
I bought an item which is chess and when reached home I found it broken! Second day I came and spoke to the owner and the employee there but they were aggressive and refused to refund me. Very bad customer service and will take the case further since this bad treatment from them. Sorry I had to put one star but actually they don’t even deserve it.
Good local shop. Stocks most products and has long opening hours. Some items more expensive than the nearby large Tesco.
I am writing this review for the manager of this shop because I care about my comunity and specially this store and stores similar: I have been your customer for about 6 years, but today probably was my last visit! I went to the shop and grabbed some items and noticed that the price for one specific item was more expensive compared to many different similar shops I purchase it from. I've never seen it this expensive. At the counter I politely told the staff that just to let you know this is expensive compared to everywhere else and I think you need to know it. He looked at me with a poker face like he doesn't care and said I don't know that how the prices are, they go up and down. I said but I think you should consider this and he interupted me (to stop the conversation) by saying do you want your reciept? This is NOT a good customer service brother specially for your regular customers. Instead of respecting your customer's feedback, he basically pushed me away by his reaction I was seriously considering buying all my halal meat from you to support your newly opened butchery, but this behavior made me not come back to this shop. .
(After that I went to Spice Gate to check their price for the item -and keep in mind that Spice Gate is known as an expensive shop in the community- and their price was lower! Yours was 7.49 and theirs (which was still expensive compared to other shops) was 6.99.

Very Good Shop Counter man and butcher very welcoming and nice people fresh meat, herbs, spices along with vegetables and fruits overall really great experience definitely recommend going there or at least checking it out.
Worst shipping experience with Evri at this spot! Man at the till is the worst I have ever seen. They should just get rid of Evri from their shop as they don't care at all. There is a reason why there are so many 1 star reviews. Could be less if there is an option.
Staff in the counter receiving Evri parcel is so rude. No reassurance from the customer. Not very kind. Any questions you asked he will say just call EVRI we are just here to receive or collect thats all! My parcel is for next day delivery and its more than 7 days now and I asked the staff to help me locate my parcel as it was undelivered I cannot locate the driver then the staff in this shop says just call “ EVRI I cannot help you! !”

A little piece of home 💓 you can buy your halal food get your spices and Egyptian rice, speak arabic to the staff. Feels like shopping at your stores back home.
They are the best Chinese supermarket to go to in Cambridge. There is a wide selection of things to choose from. Also the owners are incredibly kind, last time I was there they ran to find me when I left my bag in the store. So thanks for that!

Roman the "manager" at this store is an absolute disappointment to the establishment, he will be the downfall if he keeps being disrespectful and spiteful to customer. He is unhelpful and worthless to the customers. Such a shame because everyone else is so kind, respectful and polite.
Gets busy with students over lunch time but normally always well stocked for meal deals.

I love this shop and make an effort to get here, especially as they sell herbs and spices by weight: fill your own bag with what you want/need and pay at the till.

One of my favorite stores to go on Mill road! I come here often when I run out of spices, lentils or tea. Great selection of products! Worth a visit if you are ever in Cambridge.

The staff was very rude to my kid and scolded at her loudly. My daughter drew something childishly on the cold surface of the refrigerator’s glass just by using her finger. I think he can ask her to stop but not scold at her loudly. Everyone looked at my daughter and she felt very hurtful. His attitude is very bad.

Fantastic butchery section selling chicken breast, whole chicken, drumsticks, chicken thighs, chicken wing, leg of lamb, lamb chunks, lamb mince, all selections of steaks ribeye, t-bone,sirloin my favourite.😍, the list go on and on too much to list. I don’t need to go anywhere else. Better than Tesco.

Friendly staff, and good range of essentials that you just can't get for miles around.
A good store if you plan to walk and only need a few things. Traffic around this area is pretty abysmal. Mid-Cambridge so prepare to encounter a few homeless junkies (look out for the guy in a black and white coat with a man-bun).

Lots of international products and choices. A recent refurbishment has happening since my last visit to the store. The buchery is now at the far end and even bigger. The work is ongoing and I am sure in months to come it will be more organised and quicker service. I will definitely visit again because the service was good workers were engaging and I was able to get all I wanted

Service is never great in this shop. Abrupt and zero warmth/friendliness. My daughter bought a pack of crisps yesterday which we thought it tested a bit funny. Sure enough, it was out of date. Not good!
The store was okay. Varity was a little lacking in places, but that could be a COVID problem. The staff were friendly enough, getting the job done with little effort but blunt results. The sight was literally a building sight however, with major works going on on the house next door. Overall, average corner shop experience.
Halal meats and indian foods are available with large varieties, but price a bit higher than other local halal shops in the Cambridge!

Superb, I stumbled upon this Gem whist hunting the streets of Cambridge looking for Cow Statues. I only needed MSG as I'd ran out and had been let down by an online supplier. Super nice people, and they stock pretty much everything. I only wish they were on line, but if they would relocate to where I live that would be super helpful 👍🏻

They are always keen to help. They help you with everything and now you can pay electronically. Organic fruits and vegetables. Natural products for cleaning, environmentally friendly. Loads of dried herbs at a fair price, available for cooking or tea infusions. Fresh beer yeast for homemade pizza lovers.

During a pandemic and shortage of stock in the country this shop has took it upon them selves to increase the price of everything as if it wasn't an expensive shop before they have put the cheap toilet roll to 10 pound and hand sanatiset to 15 pound its is a discrace cconsidering the village is mostly made up of elderly people

First frequented this shop as a teenager in 1980/81. Been coming here ever since . The place is a Cambridge institution and a must for anyone who eats organic,vegan, vegetarian and or local. The staff are always friendly and they offer a vast array of food and drink . They are great supporters of small local organic producers and have been for decades ; I should know , I am one ! The place has a great calming vibe on your soul and this shop will always have a special place in my heart.

Nice shop with has most of the basic needs of an West African home. Very easy to locate from Grafton and right beside the African/Nigerian restaurant
The only guaranteed location in Cambridgeshire (I'm aware of) to find essential Colombian and Venezuelan foodstuffs like Harina Pan for Arepas, Cachapa Mix, Maltas, Tequeños, Pirulin and even Cocosette. Prepare your wallet however, as they are not cheap by any means.
The shop was refurbished not long ago, fairly clean. I can pretty much find all the ingredients I need for cooking an authentic Chinese meal, though most of the food are fairly experience. You can find some cute drinks there.
Among the convenience stores in the neighbourhood, Tesco has the best selection of Asian packed food, ingredients and seasoning. Most fruits and vegetables are the cheapest among the three. The staff are very responsive and helpful.

Amazing range of vegan food. Unusual things you won't find elsewhere, such as firm tofu, vegan cheese range, locally produced beer and cider. They also sell food to go, and have very helpful staff. Small frozen section too.
