Went in and bought things for $40 they had couple of boxes for testing never mentioned how much a customer can take. My niece took a small piece went to pay then the cashier was rude and asked us to pay for it then I said no I am not because it’s for testing and the she said I should talk only 1 grape piece I said well you guys did not mentioned in the sign so I said I am not paying and gave it back so she got angry and I stood in the middle of the shop talking in her own language about me in front of other customers rudely. I never felt so embarrassed and disrespectful in my whole life and I told her she is disrespectful and rude and she kept going in her own language. This is such a bad shop. So racist if your not Asian then you are treated with disrespects and badly they will never offer help and they will never respect people. I will never go to that place again.

This is probably one of my favourite stores ever, highly reccomend. Very kind staff and amazing managers specials. Couldn't image a better place to get all my snacks and food I can't find in regular supermarkets!

Absolutely horrible!! Even when there are long queues, the assisted check-outs are not opened. They have staff standing around looking at people scanning their groceries but no one will come forward to open an assisted check-outs counter. The only one which is open, the cashier tries to pass on the bought bags for groceries to be packed by customers!!?? None of the staff seems to care about anything in this store

The short-haired white middle-aged woman staff next to the self-service cash register has a bad attitude. She stared at me fiercely every time. It's like I owe her money. I don't know her at all. I shopped completely normally. I buy as much as possible each time to reduce the number of visits. But it seemed like I was a thief in her eyes. I am unhappy every time I shop. She seemed to come over and curse at anyone at any moment. It seems that we walk wrong, check out wrong, speak wrong, stand wrong, nothing is right. Last time she also said that I was not allowed to use green plastic bags to carry children's snacks. She said that green plastic bags can only be used when buying fresh fruits and vegetables. But I just wanted to pack snacks for my daughter. My daughter is scared of her. I had to go to the manned checkout line to avoid her because of her bad attitude. I had to leave the near and far away to go to wollies. I don't know if she only does this to Asians. I will keep complaining. Until she left the coles in front of my house.

Worst customer service at the registers by Ani. We go to the registers and give bags so they can pack the goods. She scanned items left my bags for me to do while having to deal with a child in the trolley. To the point she hurried me to pay while I was trying to pack all my groceries myself into the bags I gave to her. Then started to tap her fingers on the desk for me to hurry up and give my flybuys card. Rudest cash register I have ever encountered.

Worst customer service ever, please remove Jun from the front disk. Always make trouble when returning any item.
I had two experiences with him. He doesn't understand and always try to come up with an excuse not to accept the return. If there is a zero rating I will give it to him

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Coles Rhodes, and I feel compelled to share my feedback. Denny's demeanor was shockingly rude, and it left me questioning the level of professionalism upheld by Coles.

From the moment I approached him for assistance, it was evident that something was amiss. Denny's attitude seemed abrasive, and his tone was far from what one would expect in a customer-facing role. It almost felt as though he had brought personal conflicts from home into the workplace. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in an environment where customer satisfaction is paramount.

The experience left me contemplating the hiring practices of Coles. Individuals like Denny, who display a lack of courtesy and respect towards customers, should not be representing the brand. It raises concerns about the screening and training processes in place.

In my opinion, Coles needs to invest more in comprehensive customer service training for its employees. Ensuring that every team member understands the significance of positive interactions with customers should be a non-negotiable priority. The store's reputation is undoubtedly impacted when customers encounter such blatant disregard for courtesy.

In an era where there are several supermarkets and retail options available, the importance of exceptional customer service cannot be overstated. If instances like this persist, customers like myself will undoubtedly consider exploring alternatives. A coin for a trolley! You must be kidding me! Who carries cash these days! Australia is going to be a cashless country guys! If I wanted to be worried about a coin I would go to Aldi 😤

I recently visited Woolworths Rhoades, and unfortunately, I had a less than pleasant encounter with the manager, Sandya. I asked for assistance, and her response was quite rude, which left me feeling disappointed.

CAUTION, DONT SHOP HERE.
Absolute scam of a place, extremely rude cashier, incorrect and misleading price, price was marked at $1.99 but charged me $4 and tried to argue with me about it. At the end they refunded to me which is funny but its not worth going again.
Staff looks annoyed when serving. Should have read previous reviews before shopping here.

Avoid at all cost, go to the shops in Rhodes central instead.

Good range although it didn’t have what I wanted (despite the website/app indicating it did). Easy parking in the shopping centre. Long open hours.

God awful store, the only saving grace is that most staff are nice. I visit often at later times and was surprised that a couple of the night fill staff were ignoring me. I wasn't sure if it was on purpose because I wasn't speaking too loud but a few of them did have earphones in and ignored me when I tapped them on the shoulder

The shelf restockers throw their frozen goods around like back in the old country... Customer safety issue - for a moment I thought I was going to get hit with a full carton box of products in the head.

Very new and modern Woolies store. Super clean and organised. Great for a grocery shop as they have nearly everything you need. Easy parking at Rhodes central downstairs. 100% recommend to visit.

Awesome ... What you expect from ALDI.

Great for quick shopping during the week. Do not expect to find freshly baked bread first thing in the morning; it's getting on the shelves quite late. I also find the veggies a bit sad occasionally, so make sure you have a good check of your berries before you chuck them into your cart. While the staff is always happy to help, they are understaffed.

The rudest manager I've ever had the displeasure to interact/ be served by. The way she interacted with me was akin to speaking with a 5 year old. I was so appalled I returned, and then found she is the manager here. If you're having a bad day, that is an issue, but not my issue. Grow up and be better Molly. Zero stars was not an option.

Edit: a quick look at other reviews shows this lady has real issues! ALDI, and other staff at this location, this needs to be addressed!!!!!

the customer service was the quick and nice layout of the store was. The produce looks fresh and nice. I love how the aisle in the middle with kitchen utensils is so good value!!

Great Asian supermarket that's got everything you need. It's convenient and right next to Rhodes station. They also have an alcohol section where the sojus are reasonably priced. However, I did go there recently and I was craving pork crackling but they had expired ones selling on the shelf. So although they have all your Asian needs, just be mindful and check the expiry dates.

Worst costumer service EVER!!!!

Today 221118 6pm the woman that is supposed to be the manager has so horrible actitud!! Aldi. You should really train your people to be educated and learn how to be professional at costumer service… or simply the basics… just to learn about how to treat people with the minimum respect.

I dont know if she feels she is in the army or what… but it feels so disappointing aldi. Just because you are cheap, that does not mean you are entitled to have personnel treating so bad your costumers!

Great range of products. The only downside is that cashier girl apparently doesn’t know how to politely serve customer. Thanks for her I had to pack my own good as at 6pm 28 Aug 2022, might as well get self check out machine installed. Makes no difference for her to be there

Very poor service and literally a scam.
I just want to get couple drinks with the price $1.99 each "on the ticket on the shelf ". But they charged me $2.99 each. The worse is staff refused to match the price for me even I had evidence at that moment.The reason they gave is "Because of the system "
Please be careful when you shop there!!!!!

The woman - apparent manager, is extremely rude, unprofessional and lacks common sense.

The store was extremely busy but she refuses to open a third checkout lane and sent a staff doing check out to the back causing extremely long queues.

At my own check out she was unable to scan a number of fresh produce. She proceeds to incorrectly type it in although pointed out. She then proceeds to throw the produce on the floor. I offered to get another item for the barcode, she rejects it saying, “there are customers waiting.”

Her attitude is not suitable for customer service, let alone a managerial role.

Such a rude cashier, i told her about the product it was on special and she wasn't happy also given me that look. Told me to check with her colleague which her colleague said it's on special. I came back and she gave me rude answer. I also bought the drink and just realised it's expired.

Brand new Woolworths in Rhodes Central. Underground carpark is free for first 3 hours. Layout is tidy with lots more choices compared to other woolies in the suburbs. They have a scan and go counter but it wasn't working as it should have when I tried. I made my payment of 5 items via the app, expecting to cruise through the scan and go lane. However, the system doesn't let me pass through and required the personnel to double check my items by scanning each one again using the handheld scanner. Scan and go is a really good alternative which saves time scanning items at the checkout counter. Perhaps further enhancement is required to make it perfect though. They have a sushi counter just on the right of the entrance which looks quite nice especially with the platter deal.

4.3 - Even though I had switched over to do my regular shopping at this new Woolworths, it dropped one star for me today. An item was scanned at the wrong price, and the girl who assisted at the checkout didn't know what to do. (Staff I have encountered in the past would have quickly walked off to check and been back already!) so I had to suggest she could do a price check by either going to the aisle or finding another staff member to help her. Instead, she directed me to go and take photos to show her, mid-scanning my shopping! I think that is appalling and not in accordance with the experience I would expect to receive from Woolworths. It is still my favourite store but will keep an eye out for this.

Located in the Rhodes Central building, it is extremely modern and large ! The interior was surprisingly neat and well organised and the whole place was well maintained. I didn’t explore the ins and outs of the woolworths due to covid restrictions but it was very easy to find what we needed to and we were thoroughly impressed by the amount of international products at this woolworths! Staff also seemed very friendly

This isn’t even based on the fact that staff are rude and unhelpful, but that on the past two occasions they double charged me and enters a different higher priced item. Only realised when I got home. Never going back. Bye bye bye

*** edit. Ok it’s been 4 years since this review and I have been back a few times since. Had a better experience. Changing it from 1 star to 3.

The store is quite good and has a good variety of great quality products. Staff is friendly and helpful. A coin is needed to get a trolley, which is ok, the problem though is returning such trolleys in the car park... I’ve found one trolley bay allocated for Aldi, and it didn’t have anything there to attach the trolley to so I could get my coin back! That’s a bit petty!

As it’s a new store it is one of ALDI’s most modern using their latest layout like what is used at its newly renovated Macquarie Center store, store has plenty of space between aisles. It’s also stocking the entire range of products. Great this store is here now as it’s very close to my work.
