Great selection. Clean bright store.
Very nice, quite super market with wide verity of groceries with reasonable prices. Need to spend more time in understanding ingredients as the products information is written non-English and vegetarians need more time understanding the ingredients
Had best experience in Tesco today. A lovely man called Steven helped me out in finding the biscuit aisle. Have to say his snow enrobed oreo packing skills are unmatched.

Absolutely ridiculous behaviour from the assistant at the customer service ( checkout at the entrance) today in Tesco in Golden Island around 12am.
I've never met more unpleasant, difficult and awkward person that works with customer.
I did not have my club card with me and I've asked if my phone number would be enough to transit the card details, she said no, I understand. Next I asked if I can sign up for new one she also said no. I decided to leave and see if I have card in the car. I've met a friend outside Tesco and she said I could use her club card. This assistant said its against the law and policies!!!! My friend said ok I'll buy it and I'll use my club card in that case, assistant threatened that she HAS TO WARN the other cashiers and she can't let us buy those items!!! We ignored her and just did the transaction, she came back and tried to explain herself but at this point she crossed the line I told her we no longer need her assistance. She treated us as some criminals. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Won't be coming back unless hear some apologies.

I have came to buy a watermelon and they didn't sell it to me. the women said that there was little time left before closing and she would not be able to sell half of the watermelon. why can't I buy half a watermelon half an hour before closing time ? the girl began to behave arrogantly. I am very disappointed in this attitude.

Really good place to get groceries without going to the city, plenty of parking slots are available. Also the quality of Frese items are decent. Also it has a similar set of bakery items as in Germany(Don't expect a huge collection of breads).
Poor shop and bad customer service. Unfortunately a lot of Tesco stores are similar. There must be a lot of internal turmoil with this retailer as so many of their stores are poorly managed and the workers are usually miserable and lack personality.
The shop was quite busy but the ques were quickly gone. Good and cheap shopping here.

As a cook, I recommend this store, full of interesting products.
Last week I was shocked by the amount of veg I saw that was rotting in its packaging. I bought rocket and tomatoes and had to bin most of it.

Hard to shop with only few cashiers working. Overall evening time is not the best for that, too many empty shelves. Shop itself is nice, well organised, plenty parking spaces.

Large store with great variety of produces and other businesses and facilities, a very popular shopping area within walking distance off the main street of Athlone town open until ten pm excellently lit safe large carpark and great footpath lighting to main street etc.
Was disappointed in the fred and flo baby lotion which was advertised as hypoallergenic. It is not as it had parfum in it. After 2 hours I started to get a reaction

It has been my favorite store in Connaught for the past 4 months. Service is always quick and polite. I can find everything I need here and take my time with google translate if required. They have amazing selection of Korean foods as well as fresh vegetables.
Great asian store specially now beside bubble milk tea they also have hot snacks! :)

Ample parking space and hustle free shopping. Price is very reasonable compared to other shops. They are open even at late night and staff here is friendly.

Friendly staff, it's fun looking at all the food and I love the soba noodles.... be careful crossing the road though if your parking on the other side, nearly got knocked down by some idiot racer flying out of the garage without looking.

Awesome shop to find different varieties of food. Really good meat and sausage section. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They usually go out of their way to translate the various products into English to help me find a new tasty treat!
I love their deli counter. The entire staff is very nice and helpful. The dairy section is wonderful. Lots of choices in each isle.
Food is cheap but always good quality. Never felt like the place was packed so getting around was easy. Only issue is the layout. And uneven number of aisles leads to unnecessary backtracking and skipping an aisle can't be done due to spread out supplies. Great stock but layout is less than agreeable
Nice shop. Bakery is very good. Very versatile in their selection of goods. Checking out can be a bit rushed, no personal service. Its a bit like just pay and get out.
We were there on Thur eve. Young guy on till was so helpful asking if we needed assistance, showed us around the shop and advised us on new flavours of dumplings and desserts to try. Will definitely be coming back. Staff are great!
Finally a good selection of alcohol! Huge shop with fresh veg and fruit, meat, just everything you want.

What an interesting place of shopping, well organized, friendly staffs who are ready to help. You don't necessarily need to exhaust your budget on chocolate, try Lidl am sure you will have a testimony.
