Great service, delicious food, lots of choices too! Couldn’t decide what to go for - tuna kimchi bowl, chill eggs or prawn pasta. Went with the pasta in the end and it didn’t disappoint. Coffee was lovely too. Highly recommended!
Such lovely place!
Staff is very friendly, food is delicious and coffee is the best!
Now ranking as my most favorited brunch place.
Already thinking my next time visit. :)
The Grounds of Alexandria is always busy, especially on the weekend so we were happy that we were able to get a table in the cafe fairly quickly as we'd just picked up a very hungry teen from the airport. Food was tasty as expected for the price but nothing to really rave about and the cakes were a feast for the eyes (though really too much buttercream). The downside was that we had to ask several times for a menu, my husband's meal came significantly after the rest of the mains, we ended up getting our own water as it never showed even after asking multiple times; even taking into consideration that the wait-staff was busy, we felt a bit neglected overall. However, the decorations and ambiance of the venue is fantastic.
It is one of the best places I have been to in Sydney! The atmosphere, service and food is lovely! Love how it is pet friendly as well. I visited it with my hub, parents and fur babies (a husky and a cat). Evah who served us was exceptional. She was so kind and lovely! Definitely a 10/10 visit!!
Been here a few times, amazing location, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Different zones and areas to enjoy. Had breakfast in the Cafe, was exceptional. Had the breakfast tacos and the bircher museli, and a very smooth coffee. They currently have a Mexican theme, and it's executed very well. Plenty to entertain kids, a lot of seating available. You can bring dogs into the venue (cats too apparently!)

Paid $4 for a takeaway espresso. Got home and opened the lid and it was 1cm of crema-less coffee. So I measured it in a measuring glass. 15ml.
It's always nice to stop in every now and again.

Weekends are busy, but just after lunch is the best time to get a seat... you just have to hope the cakes haven't sold out!

Great coffee, nice atmosphere, and excellent deserts. Lunch isn't bad and worth a try of you are peckish

Defs in my top sydney cafes list. Interior is beautiful, double storey but so airy and spacious, I’m obsessed. Service was friendly, drinks came quick. Good chai latte, good flavours and sweetness level. Star of the show was the chilli scrambled eggs which was AMAZING omg the flavour, I think it had a touch of Japanese flavours and spices. Brekky burger you can’t go wrong with, beautiful sunny side up egg. I must go back!!!!
I absolutely love the story of The Grounds, the concept of having something very green and farm-like in the middle of such an industrial suburb.

The food itself is very good and not too expensive (but certainly not cheap either).

Loved the Christmas decorations and walk as well (despite the crowd!). The Christmas pastries were excellent.
Great photo spot within Sydney area. Always beautiful decorations, lots of visitors. Love the coffee! Dog friendly is a bonus! Love to get back there sometime with my pooch🐩. For wedding reception here, it will look so elegant and vintage, feel like a princess in the enchanted forest👰👸!
The place was so nice! You can have brunch, take photos here. They will change the themes from time to time. In January 2024, they still decorated in a Christmas theme.

The food here was normal but the coffee was fantastic. The prices here were on average.

They provided breakfast, lunch and take away menu. Take away food are more cheaper!!!!

Last but not the least!!!
Card payment will be charged 1.5% extra!
A trusty coffee joint where you will always get a good cup. The space is a nice open industrial set up, just around the corner from Green Square station. Thoroughly enjoyed the chilli scrambled eggs too. Just excellent!
Incredible atmosphere 👏
Service good, but felt rushed during our meal. Our food showed up intermittently, with three plates arriving - one not showing up until making our waitress aware.
Food was presented beautifully, however the consensus on the table was food was only warm.
The entire experience is beautifully presented, there has been no expense spared with interior design and plants wall to wall.
Going in the afternoon, midweek is a must to beat the crowds.
You need to dine in, in order to walk the candy lane at Christmas 🎄
Recommended spend per person is:
Adults $30pp
Children $15pp

Been to the grounds multiple times across many years for all sorts of dining and they cater very well. Their brunch menus are very nice and food is not extremely impressive but instead a comforting classic you can always come back to. Their cakes are especially good and i always buy some to take home?

I always look forward to their seasonal events and various interior designs. Theyre a beautiful highlight to look forward to and every sydney resident should visit once in their lives. Staff is usually friendly and it's easy to find a seat on an average day for brunch when its not too busy. Its such a good place for a casual brunch hangout with a friend.

Christmas is drawing near with the latest theme at the grounds being ginger bread house. The place is very green with plenty of plants surrounding the outdoor seating. Breakfast is serve until 11.45am and lunch menu post that. We were in time to get on the last ordering of breakfast menu and had to wait a few more minutes for lunch order. Food is alright, restaurant is fully packed on a weekday so we need to line up to get a table without prior booking.
Some of the best coffee in Sydney! The tasting board for two was a very nice set of well made drinks; none of which had a hint of bitterness, most surprisingly the cold brew which was so smooth and sweet I wish I could take a few gallons with me back to the U.S.

The lamb pita was very good and so filling as well. To top it off the milk-chocolate passion fruit dessert was a very nice patisserie-style desert without too much heaviness.

Do yourself a favor; come with some friends, have some good food and some good coffee and enjoy the great environment they have set up for you!
A very picturesque place, it lives up to his name. It was very busy when we arrived but they still managed to seat us. Food was good, but nothing mind-blowing, presentation style looked very pleasing. Good experience, would go here again to try the grill restaurant. Added some videos of the pastry making.
Very nice place. Usually busy. They have kids changing room.
Service was great , very nice friendly staff.
Food was good but portions were limited so is a little expensive side. Premium is for the place and ambiance.
Ample free car parking available.

Lots of places and areas to click nice photos but it’s busy on the weekdays as well so you have to be quick.

They do different themes, so it’s really nice to be with kids
We love visiting this cafe! great coffee and brunch options. My go-to is the french toast, it’s quite a unique dish, not overwhelmingly sweet and the fruit makes it refreshing. I also enjoy their burgers.
Lovely outdoor dining space and very instagrammable... if you can see past the sea of people coming in and out. It's definitely a very popular place, so getting a table can be a challenge.
The food themselves are all right, we had lamb snack pack and chicken rolls, both are not bad. There's a number of food selections around the vicinity, from savory to shakes and desserts.
There's a narrow path walk on the side that has a theme (this time it's candy land). It's pretty but very packed, so good luck taking photos. Overall, it's a good experience, ticked that one off the list.
Definitely worth the visit! We came for breakfast. The deconstructed mocha was lovely and the cakes Royal Milk Chocolate was lovely as well. The real gem is the ambiance and grounds itself. We strolled through the various areas that make up this site and we’re surprised by the decoration, fountains, and overall experience. Would definitely like to come back for brunch.
Hot chocolate was yummy. Kids pasta sucked. My nephew was very disappointed about it. Service was fast. They gave us menus but we were also looking for other drinks and desserts so our server gave us another booklet menu. When we ordered the desserts the strawberry cake was out of stock and the page with all small pastries were phased out. She only told us after we ordered stuff off of that menu. So she handed us a piece of paper with the updated desserts. Our vietnamese salad bowl was so so I don't think it's worth $25. Barracuda burger was good with interesting potato tempura.
The food and coffee at this place are amazing, and I absolutely adore their decor. It is the perfect spot for coffee enthusiasts and those looking to enjoy a delightful brunch.

Second visit: The coffee was impressive, and the Caesar salad was on point as well.
Really lovely converted warehouse with great coffee and a seasonal menu ☕🥕

Bright, well-lit spot, even on a rainy day in winter. Outdoor seating in nice weather. Lots of nice seating indoors, too. Coffee roasting out the back.

🥣 I had the farmer's lunch, which was a spectacular blend of roasted and fresh veggies with a yummy sauce.

🥐 Pastry bar + easy takeaways

🚞 Just next to the Green Square station

🚴‍♀️ On the Bourke St bike lanes!
Food: really basic, as you can see in my photos, especially for the price!
Kinda stuff you can do at home. Nothing really stand out, standard flavours, no real though has done into the menu or plating.
Coffee was decent though.

Venue: pretty decent, nice and big. In an odd location, kinda industrial. Parking is hard to find.

Wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

Coffee was excellent. ☕👍
Staff are efficient and pleasant.
Service was fast, and orders were correct.
There's Takeaway and Table Service.
You can spend a few moments here or while away an hour or so on your "Device" or just catch up with friends and Talk.
As I spend a lot of time in Asia, I think most Cafes/Restaurants in Australia are Expensive.
My Daughter tells me these prices are the norm.
Great large area for indoor seating that's shared with 7 or 8 other businesses....bloody good idea actually.

Only 👎👎👎
The Women's Toilets were Horrid. 😩.

Very friendly, informative and helpful cashier and very nice coffee. Me and my husband love latte so much. Unfortunately, we know that single origin for espresso or brew drinker but we also want to try the single origin coffee. The Cashier help us to choose single origin of the day that's good for latte too. It is a great service, we love the coffee that he chose for us, adorable single origin latte. Thanks Alexandria Campos Cafe, we definitely will return to your cafe when we travel again to Sydney.

Great cafe that does coffees + beans.
There's usually a range of beans to try.
They do normal milk, skim, soy and almond.
There's two tier 1 machines running so they can pump out coffee's when it gets busy plus you'll get a small discount if you bring your own keep cup (the way it should be)

Loud, busy with ok coffee ☕️ is the best way I could describe Campos Alexandria. We went there for a business meeting during the day and I'd definitely recommend against doing this due to the noise levels. Also the service was ok but the poor servers looked swept off their feet. The coffee and snacks we had were ok. Definitely not in the same league as the coffee from Campos Newtown. Overall ok place to go if you're in the area

Updated review #5 and rating (15Jun19) - it's sad to see how far-gone this place is from its heyday. Slap-dash service, inconsistent shot quality, tables & outdoor areas littered with dirty plates....but there is a good array of (generally stale) pastries/baked goods. Campos should do themselves a favour and debrand this place ASAP. The slide from 5-star to a precarious 2-star has been fast.
