We were in town visiting OSU and we had heard of this place since they have a few locations back home in Chicago burbs. Glad we ate here before we headed home. Great food, friendly service and restaurant was very clean. Food was served fast which was appreciated.

Stopped by with a few friends for lunch. Was sat down pretty quickly, I ordered the chicken buffalo wrap it was pretty good, our waitress was amazing! She was super friendly and tentative she kept our drinks topped off and made sure our food came out the way we wanted it to. I believe her name was Malaya, props to her!

The food was par for the course. Nothing amazing, but good decent food. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of sweet potato fries. The tacos have ingredients that would make you think they’d be on the sweet side, but surprisingly they had a nice balance of sweet and savory. I was disappointed with the sweet potato fries. I had my palette ready for hot out the grease fries ready to be dipped in a good cinnamon butter, only to be let down to the reality of having to dip my sweet potato fries in KETCHUP! Yuck!!! Really, no cinnamon butter?!? It’s one of the easiest condiments to prepare in the kitchen! So I disappointedly ate them with no condiment to dip them in. Mediocre!

Now let’s talk about service. There was no one to greet me as I entered the establishment, just a lonely sign saying wait to be seated, then a sweet young African American woman asked if I needed something. Well, I’m complying with your sign. So she seats me and then my server finally appears after about a 10 minute wait. Not good for business! She brought me some cold water (no ice) in a glass and became offended when I told her there was no need to put the water on my table because I don’t drink municipal water. It was nothing against her or the establishment, I don’t trust the water supply in ANY municipality (remember Flint, MI)! It was downhill with her from there. She wears her feelings on her face. I asked to quickly speak to the chef and she told me HER chefs were busy and couldn’t come out. I could understand that if the place was busy, but my goodness, I’d want to know if there’s a better way to make something as simple as sweet potato fries and amazing dish just by changing the condiment you serve it with. The server (young, short, white female) needs an attitude adjustment and needs to know it’s just as easy to smile as it is to be a sour puss! All in all, the meal was just okay and I left the establishment wanting sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter! Lol!

Would I come back? Sure, only to try other things on the menu and to give them a chance for a better review. Sorry for not having any pics. Will do so in the future.

Upon looking at the menu online, I was not impressed, but after eating there I very much was! The menu is much more extensive in person. Don’t trust everything you read online. I will say the cauliflower appetizer they have is the most delicious cauliflower appetizer I have ever had, and I have had many. The pizza was also good. Thin crust, very Ohio pizza style if you like that. Parking is challenging, mostly on the street considering this is right downtown. The restrooms there were maybe the nicest restrooms for any restaurant I’ve ever been in, considering I was very pleasantly surprised, I will be back to try more food.

Have been here several times as I work & live nearby. Food is good & prices are very standard for the area. It’s a clean atmosphere with plenty of TVs for a game.

I admittedly have rarely had a positive dining experience though. DO NOT EAT HERE if you are on any kind of standard timeline. Every time I have eaten here, I have been seated quickly but had to wait ~25 minuted to be introduced by wait staff, then have had to wait at least another 45+ minutes to be served. Service is so painfully slow that it kills the groups atmosphere. They desperately need to hire more people. It’s especially painful the couple times they brought the wrong food for a person or two & they had to wait another 30-40 minutes for their correct order.

With a complete staff, we’d come here more often. Way too painfully slow to want to come back.

German food in Columbus ... the food was tasty with very tender beef tips ... loved the fried cabbage ... sat at the bar in the big Germam Beer Hall ... I bet this place is super fun with a big group of friends!

I ordered a chicken wrap and my partner got crispy wings as a carry out order. We also got two orders of fries. The chicken wrap was mostly just tortilla and the wings were not crispy in the slightest. We’ve ordered from here before and had a good experience but this time felt like we were just throwing money down the drain.

We were there on a Wednesday evening for dinner and a reservation. We were seated immediately. HBhaus has a good atmosphere and is massive, with lots and lots of seating. Rachel B was our server, and she was super. The beer is solid German beer, so what's not to like?
The food is only average. We had the Jägerschnitzel, breaded Pork Cutlet fried crisp and golden brown, topped with a Burgundy Wine Mushroom Sauce. Served with German Potato Salad, Fried Cabbage, and Bauern Schnitzel; breaded Pork Cutlet fried crisp and golden brown, topped with Black Forest Ham, Swiss Cheese, and our Signature Homemade Bier Cheese. Served with German Potato Salad and Sauerkraut, the kraut was too sweet, and the potato salad was not very tangy. We have been to local family-owned German restaurants in the area. Family-owned restaurants won out.
Pretzel was a tad bit over salted, but definitely fresh. Burger was juicy and flavorful. Beer: fresh off the tap, 5/5. Service was fast and friendly. Would come back.
Amazing German Experience! Beers are made in house and you can get your own steins to keep on premise of wanting to. Nice menu with a wide variety of items to select from! We had the bourbon glazed Salmon with Mashed Potatoes & vegetable medley. Our guest had other dishes. Dinner came to us within 15 min or less! Our server was helpful recommending items. Unique upstairs party area as well. Stop by the gift shop!
If you hate German food don't go, but if you are even KIND of curious, or just like beer...and you're in Columbus, you must get here. German Potato Salad might be my new comfort food...

Fair warning... beware the liter size beer. It doesn't SOUND like as much as it is, but it is...oh man it is.

When I came with 5 friends on a busy Sunday, the staff was very transparent and friendly the whole time. Both the waitress and cook personally apologized that some of our orders were taking longer than expected, and they didn't charge us for those delayed dishes! They didn't have to do that; no one at my table was upset at all, but we were still thankful. Both the food and drinks are always freshly made and tasty, too. I hope I can come to this location again.
Excellent slice of Germany here in Columbus. It was not the best cut of meat, but it was prepared well and was delicious. Also, they added bier cheese to the spaetzle, which was pretty unique. All in all, a memorable experience. Also, you have to try a cream puff!
The food was great and our waitress was awesome. There was live music that started at 5:30 PM and it was good. Overall definitely a great place if you're in the area and wanna have some fun and good food.
Came here for lunch with my dad and we absolutely loved it! We had Dominic for our server and he was friendly and attentive. Food was really good and it wasn’t too busy, but even if it was the place is very spacious. We will definitely come again!

The atmosphere & design here is a vibe! The Spinach salad w/ ranch was fresh, delicious, & the crispy fried green tomato on top completely this salad perfectly! The fish tacos were spicy but really good. Sweet potato fries were great! Ask for Cole, he's an amazing server!

I recently visited this First Watch on S High St near Livingston Ave and it has been about 20 years since I had gone to eat at this restaurant. Comfortable and spacious seating. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, the seasoned potatoes (AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS), and the whole grain artisan toast. I also tasted their Bacon Cheddar Cornbread; yummy. Delicious and filling entrees. Savory coffee. Great service. Metered and timed parking out front. Decent prices.
12/21/23-my second time visiting The Goat with some coworkers for a few celebratory occasions. We had a few cocktails, a few appetizers, and humorous and informative conversations. We had a great time. Thank you to our server, Megan. I added a few more pics. I recommend parking at the nearby garages during the weekdays if going during happy hour.

Modernly decorated restaurant with a complimentary color palette that provides comfortable seating and good dining. Today was my first time visiting The Goat in downtown area and enjoyed my visit. I had their Smokehouse Cheddar Burger with fries and it was delicious. Nice crowd. Friendly and fast service. Paid metered parking out front. Free to park after a certain time. Decent prices.

First Watch was great for breakfast! I don't think the Million Dollar bacon was worth it but pretty good if you like maple bacon. The crab on the lump crab and avocado toast was super fresh and delicious! The AM Superbowl tasted great as well!

The place was crowding and the wait was little long but good food. Dishes were around $12 to $20 bucks

I ordered the salmon tacos, and I did like the taste, but I would have preferred the salmon be cut into smaller pieces instead of large chunks. I also ordered sweet potato fries, and they were delicious. The cocktails are also good. Only complaint I have is regarding the service. The waitress went MIA for a while and our drinks were sitting at the bar, it was definitely not terrible service, but not excellent either.

When we arrived they had little space available, I went with my family, but they wanted us to have a table as soon as possible. The waitress was very friendly and she took great care of us, she was attentive and gave us several suggestions. Regarding the taste of the dishes, it is delicious and has good harmony in flavor, the presentation is very good.

Really a solid breakfast joint. I try to avoid chain restaurants, however most of the breakfast joints around here lack breakfast items like skillets, which we really love. My wife had the farmhouse skillet and i tried the barbacoa breakfast burrito. Both items were very good. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was really nice. Overall it was a great experience.
