The car park is nice and easy to find, there's plenty of spaces too and footpaths for pedestrians across the parking areas. The signage on the floor could do with some work but the signs showing spaces are very helpful. It's not the most spacious I've seen but definitely a comfortable fit for larger and longer vehicles.
Drake Circus have installed the light indicator system for spaces, this makes parking so much easier, no more driving around looking for a space only to find a fiat 500 hiding in there 😂 red for occupied and green for free, there are other colours for disabled and parent and child, such a smoother experience, thank you Drake Circus 👍
Park here at your own risk, Please note that this car park has ampr, and if like me you drove down to the grass and it takes longer than 5 mins to park you will get a fine for non payment, even though I did pay! my advise go somewhere else! don't give these theives your money! I will never visit this place again!
I had the same problem as others. "Help" line was answered in Rumanian with "no English spoken". My attempts to pay by phone got a recorded message saying "pay to continue" with no hint how to do it.

DO NOT USE I reported them to the Council who were not interested as it is a private carpark...not one of theirs,

So Plymouth will not get any more custom from us.......£60 fine spoiled the whole visit.
Same thing n parkes has just happened to me. Won't be using this or any car park owned by Britannia again
Parked in the evening, seems to be 24 hour charging plenty of spaces
Plenty of spaces! My car was still there when I got back. No urine smell.
Couldn't pay by cash or card my friend had to pay for me on her app!
Very easy to find, and right next to Drake Circus. You don't even need to walk outside to get there, as it's actually connected to the inside of the shopping centre.

Hundreds of spaces available, and very easy to find a space. The instructions for how to pay could be a little bit easier; there were essentially none. For anyone wondering, you park and then pay just before leaving.

Please just do not EVER use the Lambhay Hill car cark Plymouth run by Brittania Parking, if you need to know why please read on….
I entered it to park one day in March 2024 and having chosen my spot, parked and went to the pay machine. The car park is ANPR and when I put in my van registration it correctly displayed on their screen, but then displayed a message similar to ‘Registration not recognised’ or ‘Registration Incorrect’. Rather bemused I pressed Cancel, as I could quite clearly see the correct registration number displayed in front of me on their machine. I entered the same number again, this time it did not say it was incorrect so I duly paid £8 for 5 hours whilst we visited the National Marine Aquarium. Unfortunately, this car park was recommended, as the van is for wheelchair access for my 91yr old Mum and too high for the Aquarium car park. The machine spat out my ticket and I duly displayed it in a holder on the screen of the van.
When we came to exit the carpark, I photographed the ticket in the screen as proof of my exit time against their ANPR record. Well, what a surprise, about 2 weeks later I got a lovely letter explaining I owed Brittania £100 with 2 lovely photos of my van entering and leaving their car park. As I still had the original ticket bought and paid for covering the time I was there, the credit card receipt and soon the credit card bill showing Britannia had gleefully taken their £8, I ‘appealed’ and sent them all the photos of the ticket etc….
Well, they took ages to make a decision, and decided I only owed them £20 as I had failed to comply with their T’s & C’s, in that I had not displayed a ticket with the correct registration number. It appears they had me there, their machine had displayed the full correct number on its screen when I paid, but when it printed the ticket out it failed to print the full index, just printing the last 3 letters. That is something over which I have no control. It’s their machine, it does not print the ticket out and say ‘please check the full details are correct before making payment’. Their sign says ‘give us your money or else within 10 minutes of entering the car park or you will owe us £100’. There is no way you can have any idea what their machine is going to print.
Great way to make even more money or just total incompetence? You decide. They claim the £20 is to cover their costs incurred in the investigation. Personally, I believe it would be better if they spent their time making sure their machines work correctly, after all, there is nothing their ‘customers’ can do to get the machine to issue a correct ticket.
I could have still argued it further according to them, but if I had lost, they stated I would be liable for £100 not the £20 offer they had just made. I decided to pay the £20 to avoid more stress on my 91 year old Mum who has had a great birthday memory ruined and so I could at least have the satisfaction of warning others not to follow my example and park there. Their last email says as I have paid the £20 I have admitted liability! I rather see it as I have paid £20 for their complete utter overwhelming UNRELIABILITY. Britannia, please feel free to accept this review as a complete repudiation of any liability on my part as the fault lies with your equipment.
Even when you go to pay the £20 ‘fine’, it took 4 attempts before their system would accept their own reference number and the credit card number as correct. (Anyone see a pattern here?) The final sting in the tail is their message that they will charge £20 PLUS any further charges they deem fit for example for Texts… what Texts? What further charges? Of course, the voice promising all these dire consequences is automated so you cannot ask it anything anyway. So £20 paid, review written, if only 3 of you out there decide not to park there in the future for the day they will have lost more than they made from me. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
As far as carparks go, I anticipate that this one will fill up very quickly. It runs across the cliff top and although looks very open, most of the spaces are allocated to residents. It's pay and display and on a wet and windy April morning, there was no problem finding a space at the very dark end, on the grass. A tremendous view of everything, Plymouth Sound and the breakwater and the rough sea outside it. It is on the coastal.path so a great place to park up and walk towards Wembury etc. charges compatible with other private land car parks.
The car park with the biggest rip off scam going. Payments very difficult to make at on site ticket machines, stating declined payments only later to find that that multiple payments taken. The person answering the phone is clearly making out that they don't speak English. Keep away.

Could be bit cheaper but it's good localised
This car park is always problematical…either machines are out of order, you cannot see the screen if it is sunny and if it is raining the experience is daunting.
Yesterday I asked for 3 hours ( £6) and was charged £13 for a 24 hour stay!!!
Something needs to be done to be user friendly, accurate and not the horrendous experience it currently is.
Very handy for a walk around the Barbican. Not the biggest.

Bright, a bit tight on some of the ramps but good sized bays and central.
The most complex system going on the machine . Glad to leave.
Tried to park there Saturday around midday. Two machines didn't work when I swiped my card. Other people having same problem. App wouldn't let me register with a password when I downloaded and tried it. Then gave up and left to park in Drake Circus. Hope they don't try to fine me for the time wasted in there trying to pay.
Faulty parking machine-only printed the first letter of my registration. I received a fine, went to appeal-IAS are useless. I sent a photo of the ticket and bank statement-both were rejected-I paid! Do not park here!!
3rd time here in 3 months, and we have only positive things to say. As I said in an earlier review, a good selection of decent shops and reasonable parking charges felt very safe, all staff and general public very friendly, clean toilets. There are lots of places to eat too.
A clean, well maintained car park. Can be slightly confusing. Signs are smaller than usual and seem to indicate towards the wrong places. They are some of the smaller parking spaces I have come across in multistorey car parks.
It is very easy to find parking, even on busy days. They have disabled parking available and elevators a few steps away. There is also 'Shop Mobility' next to the Disabled parking for those who are registered with them.

There are always staff offering a 'wash while you shop' service for your car.

The car park uses a ticketless system, taking advantage of ANPR. At the end of your shopping experience, you simply need to enter your vehicle registration number and pay. You will then have time to drive to the exit where your number plate will be read once more and the barriers will open.

Clean, wide spaces, convenient for the shops. A little pricy which is why I’ve marked it down a bit. Otherwise, it’s good for what you need it for.
Get here early if you want a space

Usually some spaces available, but the overhead displays are not guiding you correctly, so you end up going in circles.

Expensive and the machines were out of order meaning you have to register for the app or go online and hand over personal data.
Always like going into Drakes Circus 🎪. But there are now a number of shops that I can't carry my little chihuahua into 😔.
The cafe inside by M&S is expensive 😫 and Always very busy. Drakes is great for going inside out of the weather and looking around, walking 🚶‍♂️, plenty to see. There are some good shops 👌.
Clean and tidy with plenty of parking. It is just a shame that all the stores that children enjoy have all gone. You once had Disney and build a bear and now its just clothes stores. Kids need places to spend they pocket money

It's a car park.
It's a good car park, plenty of space and plate recognition.
The only negative thing I would say is finding the exit, not so well signed.
Great place to park for the convenience of shopping at Drake Circus and the attractions at the Barcode.

Never had a problem finding a space, places are large, plenty of parent and child spaces too! A little pricey, and to get out of the car park with a pram/wheel chair you can only go one way which does seem to take a little longer and takes you to the other side of the car park to exit.

I have an annual pass and STILL get a fine for parking. No phone number to talk to someone, only a voicemail, and they have 28 DAYS to reply to complains.
Really good pricing for a town centre car park
Great location and not badly priced for where it is, the car park is clean and there is plenty to do in the local area

Just started using this carpark again. It's very convenient with plenty of spaces.
If you're planning to be over 2 hours the parking fee is absolutely fine but if you're planning a quick visit then be aware parking fee starts at £3 for 2 hours so if your looking to just pay for the time you are there then there is plenty of parking in town where you can pay by the hour or even for just 30 minutes.

Good mix of public and private spaces, not loads and loads of spaces so probably not a good time to park when it is peak time, but the cafe was nice, and the coast line walk and coves are amazing and literally 5 minutes walk!
Their machine display wasn't working on 4th August, so we couldn't see if we entered registration correctly. We hadn't managed, so despite paying the correct parking fee are being chased to pay a fine. Can't recommend this parking at all.

**Update** on appeal they accept that we paid to park, but are still trying to fine us as they say it was our fault their machine wasn't working correctly for us.

Our go to car park in Plymouth over a number of years. Sadly the cleanliness of the stairwells are in dire need of being cleaned and (for the first time) the lifts were out of order. So wheelchair users are wise to maybe check with the local council to see if they are working.

Many things are wrong with this car park. Cars are packed in close to each other making it hard to get around the corners, the internal lighting is poor, and the majority of parking bay markings are missing, or poorly visible, (photo included showing no parking bays visible) But i’m sure they would fine you if you were not in a bay ? You have to pay on arrival by a machine that you can’t read instructions properly and are only found on certain levels, and as you don’t know how long you are going to be means you overestimate just to be on the safe side, meaning a money maker for the firm that runs it. The worst thing is that we had a disabled family member with us and we had to go to nearly the uppermost level of the car park. After buying the ticket, only to find the one and only lift is broken, we was on level 9. On looking back at the last reviews, it was broken 5 days ago possibly more. This car park should be knocked down and a up to date one built and maintained properly by a company that cares.
Very convenient location for shopping and sight seeing. Pay by Ring Go app or coins.

Lift not working and had to walk up and down the ramps which wasn't safe. Took well over an hour to exit the car park, queued from the top level. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Dire. 60s multi storey car park. Very poor layout and badly lit. Chaotic long queues of cars winding upwards trying to find any remaining space. Ticket machine expensive and not user-friendly. Lift broken. I definitely won't use again.
Avoid at all costs. No payment by coins. Card reader unable to read card. Tap to pay only. "10 minutes" grace period to make payment or you'll be chased for £100 penalty charge. It's private land wanting to hustle you out of your hard earned money.

Expensive, tourist trap. The lighting above the ticket machine was very poor, making it hard to read instructions and see the keyboard. This caused a delay in getting a ticket as there were several people struggling to see and operate machine. Whilst waiting in the queue, tried booking by phone...totally useless.
Please update lights or change to number plate recognition system.
Next time I go to the aquarium I will park in city centre and walk down.
Great sea views.
Good especially if you have a gym pass. Gets very busy when theater shows are on.

This is a very fresh clean and well presented car park. The spaces are fairly wide with lot's of space in the lanes. The lighting is very good which makes parking easier. The only hard bit is finding the way out as the way signs are small and hard to see. Payment is easy by card using your registration number.
Plenty space available
ABSOLUTELY DON’T PARK HERE!!! On 8/9/22 I used this car park and paid for a ticket which I displayed on my windscreen. I had a witness with me. On 24/9/22 I received a letter from PPS dated 15/9/22 stating that I had not paid for parking. I have not kept my ticket to prove I did pay, but having read other complaints I see that the company do not accept proof of parking but continue bully-boy tactics and threats to demand payment with the threat of court proceedings. I am absolutely disgusted that this can happen to normal members of the public especially as the minimum fee is £60 which is daylight robbery especially when I didn’t do anything wrong!!!
Not to pricey compared to some places. But does need a revamp as looks a bit drawn. Only one card and ticket machine so the que was long, and did not help that the machines screen was broken so having to speak to a customer advisor via telecom to pay for parking- he was polite. Was stressful as needing to leave quickly and couldn’t.
WARNING TO ALL... please ensure you take care when parking here, the machine gave me no option to input in my reg, it took my correct money and printed me a ticket to display which included my entitlement of stay which I did not exceed. A couple weeks later a fine was sent through the post, the same day I appealed online with photo evidence of the receipt that I kept (luckily). I had NO response for a couple weeks, plaguing my mind, I then posted my receipt directly to them (PPS, they are devon based) I then had a response another week later saying my appeal had expired with them and that in their 'first reply' they had instructed me what my next steps were and then they concluded the letter without adding this necessary info again, the problem is, they never sent me any 'first reply' so was provided any vital info...They do not allow you to email them regarding appeals, their number to call is charged and they can only offer you to post to them. This has caused me an amount of stress and I paid the ticket because I get too worried about getting into any kind of trouble. In reflection I absolutely know I shouldn't had. This is a business with unethical business practices and I really hope people act with CAUTION and I can only hope my review will help another....I saw previously someone has stated 'vultures' and I couldn't agree more. I am a key worker in social care working hard for every penny earnt, shame on you Premier Parking Solutions.

Can be busy at times, spaces are quite narrow. Can park up to 3 hours only.
Neither machine working, and couldn't use the Pay by Phone app since it requires a ticket from a machine (duh!). Spent 25 minutes trying to give them money before giving up - resulting in a £100 fine, which could not be appealed.
This company should not be running parking in such a prime location, and deserves to lose its license.
Cheap and nasty, if you're tighter than drakes drum and don't care about getting car door dents in your car this is the place for you. The parking spaces are too small for today's vehicles. The ramps that go up and down levels are too narrow. NO LIFTS, so if you have a pram or wheelchair you're going to have to play Russian roulette with the cars on the ramps. Homeless people camped on the top floor. This place needs pulling down and rebuilding. The best bit, it's very close to the city centre and no queues to get in unlike Drake Circus on busy days.
Beware!
I paid for a parking ticket, wasn't late back and still recieved a parking fine for £100.
This car park is set-up to fine people, it's an entrapment.

It's disappointing that Plymouth city Council permit legal robbery in such a beautiful area of the city.
Convenient for the theatre and bottom end of town. Usual price.
It's a car park in Torquay, and it's very ordinary and run down. Seems to be the theme of the entire town. What hapenned to Torquay?
Great place to park and walk along the coastal path towards Wembury
DO NOT PARK HERE!!! The worst place to park!!! We had a parking fine. We entered the numbers on the machine into the app (correctly!!) for the 1st few hours then when we paid to top up the hours it completely changed car parks without me doing anything to change it, I did not type anything in, I only pressed renew, I just feel like it's a massive scam! I don't even want to give it 1 star!
Narrow spaces , cant use machines to pay would not recommend using it unless no other choice
My go to car park. Nice secure car park under cover with easy walking distance to the shops. I always park here with my family and is more affordable than some of the other other car parks. Could do with some accessibility for push chairs and wheel chairs though as if you want to take the side route out there are steps.

Only up to 3hrs, mas costs 3.90. Go to nearby theatre parkings
Alright if you can actually get a place but all ticket machines are CARD ONLY nowadays!!this cause me a big issue as I've wbeen waiting for a new card!so a purse full of MONEY isn't gonna work!! Pain!!
It's a car park, you drive in, pay to park immediately and just drive out (no barrier) when leaving. Downside, you need to gauge exactly how many hours you will need. It's very run down but ideally situated for shopping in the City Centre.
Right in the centre of the Barbican. Not many spaces so luck plays a big part in parking there. Best place to park for the Barbican

Short stay only, very pricy, no option for online renewal.
Nice car park but tiny and full, hence low score
Secure multi storey car park with ticket /barrier system. Pay with ticket at kiosk before leaving car park at exit on ground floor. Car park easy to get to & central to Plymouth City Centre. Would benefit from coat of paint as dysmal looking. Otherwise a useful car park in good location. Plenty of disabled bays on ground floor.

Do not park here. The machine isn't very good and doesn't always work. We got issued a fine even though we signed up to the app and went through and pressed pay. Didn't realise for some odd reason it didn't work. I will never use this car park again, PLEASE AVOID.
Ample parking space on tarmac and grass, £5 day rate is also the minimum charge for card payments although less per hour if you pay cash. There is a small camp site store for ice creams, etc. The car park is ranged around the beautiful Bovisand Bay, close to the four sandy beaches and the coast path. Beware steep and uneven steps in many places, and the beaches are cut off at high tide, so check your tide table before travelling.
Good location and cheaper than Drake's Circus too
The ticket machine only printed 2 letters of my registration so I wrote the rest of it in in case a warden came by. Stayed within the time limit and they took me to court even though I have explained about the machine stating ‘no trace of payment’! I won the case so keep your ticket and fight it!
Not much to say really it’s a car park, sometimes it’s hard to get a space as it’s quite small but generally you good to park. Could be a bit cheaper to help the local businesses but other than that all good 👍

Avoid this car park at all costs, this car park is in Plymouth we visited it because we went to the aquarium which was really good and worth a visit if you want to visit the aquarium try and park somewhere else. As you can see from one of the pics it’s really expensive hospital parking can be cheaper then this. Also in nearly all the pics for this car park it’s an empty car park wonder why
