Another amazing trip on the mighty Huntress. I can honestly say that Jamie has both the gear and knowledge to make either a complete novice or keen locals looking to go further out to sea very happy. Willing to try new spots, with a seemingly endless supply of new and Gucci tackle to keep everyone smiling. Not a bad coffee too. See you soon.

Had great days tuna fishing on Aquila. Chris and Tom were brilliant instructors. Teaching us how to bring the tuna back to the boat, and watching them tag and release the fish. Ended up with a haul of 8 tuna between the three of us
Excellent boat trip, see dolphins/seals and the local bird life. My lad even got to set off the life vest ( he said it was an accident lol) the captain said the first time a child had done that in 2 years. Highly recommend and nice local fish and chips/ ice cream after.
Amazing experience, very lucky to see dolphins 5 mins out of harbour, then surrounded by a pod,. Martin was very friendly and knowledgeable, great skipper. Highlight of our stay in Cornwall.
We enjoyed a 90 minute mackerel fishing trip with Jamie during our fortnight’s holiday to Cornwall and it was one of the best days of the holiday! It was great fun and we all caught plenty of fish (which we later cooked for tea!). Not only that we also got to see dolphins and fed some of the fish to a couple of seals who were in the harbour at the end of our trip. 10/10, we’ll definitely be back for more next year.
Had an incredible afternoon fishing with Dave. He is a brilliant captain and couldnt do enough to keep his customers happy. He looked after all the young ones with no boat experience. Three conger for me and all 9 of us on the boat caught including two enormous ling. At points and when not chasing conger had 3 fish on with one chuck. Even with 9 on board the boat is big enough to feel spacious. The dolphins crowding round the boat was a bonus and sighting of a portbeagle shark. Great value for the experience of a lifetime. Thanks Dave from Jim a very happy customer.
A great trip out for all our family. Was lucky enough to see a beautiful pod of dolphins on the way out and Matt kindly stopped the boat to allow us to admire them. Once at our fishing stop Matt did the best demonstration I’ve ever seen, pulling three fish out. We were spoilt with the amount of fish caught although most went back because they were young and Matt is clearly a responsible fisherman, we were lucky enough to catch some big enough to have for dinner. The boat was spacious and clean. Highly recommend this trip.
Omg what a amazing experience, when with James you are guaranteed a big fish. He is just such a welcoming guy with a amazing boat and business. Who knows you may even see dolphins.

Fantastic way to spend 90 minutes in a beautiful part of the world with the wonderful Captain Matt who makes fishing accessible for all regardless of experience (my son and I had none) and his daughter Erin who was a fantastic help as well. We had a great laugh out on the boat and we even caught a couple of fish for our dinner. Cant recommend it enough, great activity for the whole family and excellent value for money. Thanks for having us.
Super mackerel fishing trip with my son for our first ever sea fishing trip. Had a superb time and even caught a few mackerel and few sardines each. Chris the skipper was excellent and can't wait to go again!
Highly recommended, I booked the wildlife watching trip for myself and the family and it was amazing. Saw porpoises, seals and sea-birds, definitely the highlight of our time in Cornwall. Martin was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure everything went smoothly. Thanks again!

We had an amazing evening mackeral fishing with Jamie and his dad. We caught tons of mackeral, so many we lost count - they clearly knew the best spots! They went out of their way to take us to watch a school of dolphin, which Jamie‘s brother had tipped him off about, and we watched them leaping out of the water and shooting alongside the boat. We also saw a friendly seal. The guys were incredibly kind in showing us how to fillet the fish and were even generous enough to give us a decent knife to go home with, confident that we had had a masterclass to (try and) replicate. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Very fun, very professional, they went above and beyond for us.
Been out with Chris many times and yesterday afternoon was another excellent afternoons sport with all eight of us catching well. His knowledge of the conditions is second to none and he anchored us right above the wreck having taken the brisk wind and choppy seas into account. Can't wait to come back next year. A quick thanks also to Ange who was on hand to help unhook and advise when Chris was busy.
My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic 4 hour fishing trip out at sea with Jamie and a small group of fellow fishing enthusiasts. It was my first ever fishing trip. I absolutely loved it. I was so excited when I caught my first chunky whiting. I tried some raw sushi which was delicious. We spotted a grey seal from a distance, as Jamie explained, it is important to respect these animals when viewing them in their natural habitat and try not to disturb them or get too close. I highly recommend Huntress Charters Fishing Trips and I will definitely be going sea fishing again with Jamie but next time it will be for an 8 hour trip because 4 hours seemed to just fly by. Jamie also advised me on which rod, reel and line to purchase for pier fishing from Mevagissey Harbour Wall.
Brilliant trip. A fantastic skipper, great with newbies at sea fishing! Partner caught 2 Conga Eels and we both caught some Whiting. We will definitely be back, but hopefully with some calmer seas 😂🤞

Great morning out with Out The Blue Charters. Conger caught to 40lbs and plenty of chunky whiting! Martin knows his stuff!! Highly recommended!

Great day aboard Out The Blue Charters LTD. Martin is a top skipper who clearly loves his job. Plenty of fish for the table caught with the top quality tackle provided. Loads of room on the beautiful boat for the 9 of us on board. We really got lucky with the Sunshine as well. Would highly recommend and will definitely be out with Martin again, hopefully soon!!
Went for a mackerel fishing trip as a fathers day gift, and it was fabulous! Matt was great at teaching us what to do, and helped us catch 6 fat mackerels, with a quite a few smaller ones which we threw back into the sea. Highly recommend and hopefully will try again soon! PS. Our dog even was allowed on the boat and he loved it!

Fantastic mackerel fishing trip, although not a great deal of catching. The lads, Jeff & Spud, were brilliant with everyone on board, helping with the odd tangle and snags. I can only agree with the reviews before mine and we'll definitely be going again next time we visit.

Great trip out to sea fishing for mackerel with my partner and collie. Matt was welcoming and helpful. Great value and experience. Caught lots of yummy fish for the bbq for tonight's dinner.

We did the 1.5 hour mackerel trip today, but enjoyed it so much that we’re going on the 4 hour reef and wreck trip on Saturday!
The boat is amazing, quick and comfortable so Jamie is keen to move around if you’re not catching.

Everyone had their bbq mackerel for tea.
Perfect for a muggy afternoon to cool down too and what fabulous views of Mevagissey and Gorran Haven from the boat.

What an incredible experience! Must try!!! If I could give more than 5 stars - I definitely would! Once again, huge thanks to Martin, it was such a big pleasure to learn all the subtleties of fishing from the best teacher ever. Great boat and equipment, lovely, friendly atmosphere and so so many unforgettable emotions... Can't wait to do it all again, heartiest recommendations. Sending best wishes from lithuanian crew! :)

Just amazing. We were not out with Chris on the Aquila but with his first mate (sorry but I’ve forgotten the wonderful ‘sea dogs’ name and his son Stubbs).
Fantastic atmosphere on the boat. Well organised and safe. Filled us all with confidence both in terms of boat safety and fishing credentials.
All the tackle was excellent. Fishing was great. Everyone got at least one fish and as a trip of 11 we must have caught about 20’fish in 1. 5 hours.
Highly recommend to all visiting the area.

Excellent experience. Skipper, Dave, was great, friendly and knowledgeable. He also kindly baited my hook and removed my fish for me. He knew just where to anchor the boat to ensure we caught fish. Thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of sea fishing and would book again without hesitation. Thank you for a great day.

It was well worth it though for the experience and my son is so hooked up on fishing now he has got himself a fishing rod pretty much straight after the trip and he just needs to keep fishing now. Thanks again for sharing the tips, knowledge & bringing us back in one piece!

Really enjoyed today's mackerel fishing trip, hour and a half was perfect. To be honest I wasn't sure I would be sea sick but as it was the sea was beautifully clam. Great humour on the boat. There were some children on the boat too who were helped out buy the crew (I would think a 10 years and older would be fine). The Aquila team unhook the fish for you so it really was made easy for you.
Definitely recommend it and you get to take home you catch (if you wish).

Best boat I have been on, will drive from Essex to use this charter again - unforgettable fishing and perfect drifts every time. A brilliant skipper puts the cherry on the cake.
