It was such a pleasure collaborating with Cathy at the recent Collab Lab Conference in St Louis. The team at New Connections Counseling Center is top-notch and an incredible mental health resources in the DC/Baltimore-area!
I have known Alia as a therapist colleague since 2017. I can confidently say that Alia is one of the most empathetic, kindhearted people I have ever met. She has a true gift for therapy work, and has an ability to connect with her clients in a way that I have not often witnessed. She has a decade plus of clinical experience/skills mixed with a very down to earth way with people. She's the best!
Alia is one of the most impactful therapists I’ve ever come across in the field. Not only does she go above and beyond as a supervisor, she genuinely care about her clients and their wellbeing. Do not hesitate reaching out to her! Take the first step and give her a call - I promise you won’t regret it.
I have enjoyed many experiences over the years with Ro. She is always engaged, listens carefully and has a wealth of professional and personal understanding that she can draw from, when discussing life’s challenges. Ro has been continually invested in the well being and care of her patients, just as she is with her dear friends and fellow community members. Oh, and just so you know, she can also be a lot of fun!
I have known Dr. Ro Nicolosi for almost 20 years. She is a kind and caring person and I imagine that she provides great support and a safe space to her clients. Ro has a wide array of professional experiences and has a great education. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you choose Ro as your therapist.
I have known Dr. Nicolosi for 14 years. She is a wonderful advisor and a very caring person. I have been going through a very difficult time in my life and her compassion and guidance has been such a blessing in my life.
I've had the privilege of working with Emily Scheer for quite some time now. Dealing with generalized anxiety and body dysmorphia, I've found Emily to be an exceptional therapist. She not only attentively listens and empathizes with my struggles but also provides valuable guidance for improvement. Unlike past therapy experiences where it felt like therapists solely asked questions, Emily takes the initiative to understand the root causes of my issues. I can honestly say that my ability to acknowledge my anxieties and work through them on my own is because of Emily. I wholeheartedly endorse her services!
I have known Emily Scheer since she was a student in my psychology courses at Montgomery College some fifteen years ago. Since then, I have followed her academic and professional career closely and with great interest and have gotten to know her very well in that time. Emily is a wonderful person! She is bright, has a broad knowledge of her field, and is a person of impeccable integrity. She is kind and warm, and is a genuinely caring and compassionate person. She is easy to talk to and has what I like to call a "therapeutic" way about her. I am certain that she is an excellent therapist!.....Donald J. Palmer, Ph.D.

I love it here!!!!
I don't understand how this place is STILL open. The staff is recovering addicts that's STILL using an DATING each other. There's NO REAL rehabilitation going ON, the housing has a infestation of ... Well... EVERYTHING!! This place is literally a TRAIN WRECK!
I loved it there. 413 Gilmore was a great house I did a lot of my recovery there. I miss the old place back when HRC was there and the big kitchen. It was a really cool place to be when I needed a place to be. Yes there are drugs there and yes people sell their meds there but there were also some good people there who wanted to help you.
I think all of you putting BBH down didn’t want the help apparently my father and monther both now have over 10 years clean. Stop putting BBH down because they didn’t get you hi or give you meds you requested. I’m bring my sister there today for alcohol treatment hoping they will help her. Keep getting hi because you obviously are and don’t like structure and being told what to do.
Boo Hoo they sold drug inside and smoked crack it’s because you didn’t want help they can’t help people like you anyway.
I give BBH 5 starts because of my father and mother are in FL own there own home cars etc and have never went back to using congratulations BBH for changing my parents life for the better from the bottom of my heart I thank you and your staff for putting them on the right path.
Everyone else hop off stop putting them down becaus you don’t want help. Jesus cry babies they didn’t give me drugs bla bla bla.

Thanks BBH Amanda
I knew someone who worked there as a Clinical Psychiatric Professional. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has nothing on this place. The reality is stranger than fiction . I still laugh about the stories , freaking hilarious .
BBH has been a horrific place for years. I moved to Western Maryland and go to a methadone clinic here. To see the difference between the two facilities is amazing. You would NEVER see the type of things that occurs there daily at this place. To pile on with ALL the horrible experiences I had at BBH isn't going to be helpful to anybody. Just understand that you DON'T have to do that to yourself by going there (BBH). If given the opportunity try to find a clinic away from where you did most of your "dirt". People, PLACES and things isn't just a corny 12 step program saying, and I don't choose to use a 12 step program in my recovery. The clinic I attend has ALL I have needed to be clean from HERION for 2 years 9 months. You WON'T get the ESSENTIAL help needed at BBH, PERIOD. People who are seriously trying to make changes avoid BBH. Your life is too important to turn it over to the uneducated and noncommittal staff at BBH. Give yourself a chance, stay the hell away from BBH, unless your looking. God bless all who read this.
Only 1 star because they got me thru withdrawal but that's it. I was sexually harassed by male patients and when I went to staff the pulled the patients up but made it into a race thing. Very close to getting raped here. Not a safe place. People sell there suboxone and drugs are everywhere even inside the facility. People smoked crack in the bathroom in the middle of the night. My roommate dropped dope caps all over our room. It was awful.
Horrible, horrible place. Everyone abused suboxon and was high every day at group. During one group a spoon and syringe fell out of a guy's pocket. He wasn't kicked out. Dirty, no food or toilet paper, and bed bugs in the housing.
I'd like to remain as anonymous as possible in writing this, as the person who went here is still there. Very unorganized and unprofessional. Told 'SWIM' that he was not an addict and denied him suboxone after he was on maintenance and was transferred from another city program. Told him that he needed to be dirty in order to be medicated. What kind of place encourages someone to get high? The house managers are people who have been there for 1-2 months. Very disrespectful and should not be given any authority. There are drugs everywhere and they do not drug test regularly. Inconsistent and rude staff....I would never recommended this place for anyone unless it's a last resort. I rarely write reviews, and sometimes I read these on google and think...'This person just had a bad experience, it's probably not that bad...' This place is awful. I don't have high standards either, I was appalled with the things I've seen and heard.
