I needed two pieces of tape
I had to buy a $4 roll of tape
Every other post office from Meadville to Franklin etc has let me just use a piece or two
It's not like I needed to wrap Christmas presents
Robbery
Awful. Said my address was not accessable when I have two driveways that are clear. Driver was too lazy to deliver, my mail was delivered in my mailbox but couldn't drop off my package.
Despite all the ridiculous negative reviews. I have been very pleased with the OC Post Office. They have always been helpful and friendly. People tend to forget these employees do not have a crystal ball! The information they receive at times is limited. They will help you the best they can. But leave the attitude at the door. I have witnessed a few very rude customers! Yes things go wrong but being rude and sarcastic is not the answer. Be nice and have patience!
everytime i come here they are closed way earlier than they are supposed to be. they arent supposed to close until 5 oclock and when i went down at 4:00 and 4:30 everything was shut down and locked
So far! They've been awesome! Even when we showed up with 200 packages that needed to be individually scanned in. They have always been friendly and willing to help with what they can. Unfortunately when reading reviews, you have to keep in mind that most people review something when something goes wrong and many times it has nothing to do with the experience at the actual post office. Thank you guys, I know you are doing the best you can under limited circumstance and you are doing an excellent job.
I needed to execute a critical international parcel return and I was worried about getting everything correct from customs declaration to correct addressing format and most cost effective option. I researched for two days on the process needing to be sucessful in the effort.

I found that USPS was the best cost at less than half of FedEx. The personnel at the Oil City USPS office knew all I needed to know and directed me through the process even making the process entertaining and enjoyable with his informative directive conversation. He even endured my fouling up two customs forms requiring a new form and re direction with patience and pleasent respect. He made this process so easy that even a cave man could have done it!

It is the job of the personnel at our USPS office to execute our mail and parcel needs. They should be commended for their knowledge, energy and mental agility needed to serve in this role. It is even more commendable they do it with a pleasant, courteous and outstanding attitude!

Thank you. I recognize, respect and value your efforts to our community and today on my behalf!

Sincerely,

They damaged my package and item so bad that it had to be repackaged in a new box, they placed a letter in the new package with my item claiming their damage, I received the package and filed a claim online to get compensation for my item. They mailed me a letter and gave me 20 days to take the item with all original packaging to a usps post office for inspection. I chose the oil city usps to do the inspection and turned over my package on the 5th of April. Over the next 3 weeks I stoped at the post office 6 times and left my name and number for the “post master” and was promised a call the following day. Never once did I receive a call, nor did they pick up the phone when I tried calling them. My 20 day time frame started on the 23rd of March, on the 22nd of April my package was still sitting behind the counter of the post office on the floor where it got placed on the 5th of April. My 20 day timeframe for inspection ended on the 12th of April. So because of their lack of action my claim was denied for “customer response time frame exceeded” I decided to go pick up my property on the 22nd of April because they hadn’t even reviewed my claim and was hassled twice basically getting called a thief for trying to pick up my property on a claim that was denied over their negligence. As someone who’s spent $3000 in the last 2 years at usps I would suggest taking your business to fedex or ups the customer service if better all around. Very very poor experience that I will never forget. Thank you for making me realize how lousy you guys are!
I've called about mail being delivered to the wrong apartment (same building). Just a floor 1 and floor 2, didn't think it could be that complicated for them. My mail was always showing up in the floor 1 box. I've had some neighbors that lived their previously that were nice enough to bring it over. Another time i had a neighbor that liked to keep my mail, packages included. It was a horrible experience trying to talk to the workers and sort it out. I've lived in the same place now for over 10 years and the mail still ends up in the floor 1 box on occasion. I've lost 3 packages over the years. The one specific package was a pair of boots for my wife that we knew for sure the neighbors had taken or it got delivered to their box and they took it that way. The next day they had the boots posted for sale on facebook. Took pictures and screen shots which i thought would be enough evidence to prove it? Called the Oil City police and was basically laughed at by them. The package carrier said he put it on their step too but still the police did nothing. Had to buy a security camera to end the packages being stolen and to prove they were delivered to my mailbox. The workers at the post office are just rude. You cant talk to them about anything. The people that work at the utility office aren't any better. With the amount of people having issues i don't understand how these inconsiderate people still have a job. Everyone of them workers, from the post office to the utility office need to be fired! Some of the cops on the OCPD should be fired as well.
