A sublime dining experience. “Chapeau” to chef Yoshi (see picture) and his team!
Warm friendly greeting when we arrived. Thursday night during golden week, for a 6pm reservation for 2 people. The staff are fun, professional and welcoming. Chef Yoshi greeted us when we were seated, and again as we were finishing and leaving. Cheerful and charming.
Stunning golden week fixed menu (see picture), and the chef expertly switched out the fish for my dining partner. The paired wines (see pictures) were very well selected. Service was attentive and warm. The interior is charming with a delightful French styling. “Worth the price” for any special occasion. I will be back. Highly recommended.

A reservation is required. I went with a friend for dinner. The meal was great, the service was better. It's a course menu, with choices for the main and dessert. The food was really well prepared and beautifully presented. The eggplant and avocado dish was delicious. The pudding at the end was amazing. The portions aren't big, but there were enough courses and a lot of bread to fill me up. The price for two people with a few drinks was 34,000 yen. If this type of place is your scene, you'll enjoy the experience.

We love to try street food, we love to try Michelin, we love to try any good food…
I thought that Micheline restaurant #OsteriaFrancescana, which got to our top list of the worst ever, was the worst one (if i dont count some Italian slovak restaurants HAHA).
But this restaurant has definitely got to the point where it is strong competition in its quality and bad food to Osteria Francescana.
The chestnut soup with foie gras and white truffle- sounds so good, the truffle smelled so good…and the result was jelly like chestnut something with little mushroom flavour and Solamyl (potato starch).
I could continue with terribleness of each course, (like combination of paprika and muddy lobster), but if someone can serve uncooked potato with destroyed chewy Kobe (how?!)
Well, not two Michelin and definitely not good.
Osteria Francescana is bottom and the worst, this is the same or at least super close.

It’s an ok restaurant, both the decor and menu remind me of what used to be considered fancy in the 90s. The red wines by the glass were very good. The service was nice and friendly. Food wise it’s just ok, not very inventive or modern, the beef dish was was the best. Price wise there are much better alternatives for half the money nearby. We still had a good time trying this place.

We had a lovely last night in Tokyo dining at Ryuzu. The food was delicious of course but what stood out to me the most was the friendliness of everyone working there. Absolutely no pretentiousness and we loved chatting with them about the food as they brought it out. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful staff, and a nice range of seafood. The food didn’t really deliver but it’s for sure nicer than eating at a normal restaurant. Personally, the space was a little small for me, but the staffs provided an amazing service

Definitely the cheapest 2 Michelin star I have been to. 36000yen for 2. Honestly unsure why it isn't more expensive

Being able to watch the chefs was really cool. Ive never worked in a kitchen but it was like a smooth dance. No yelling or screaming.
. Just working
The food was creative and tasty. Servers were friendly. the fish taco was my favorite
All things considered I would go again.

Great value for money especially if you come for lunch. It’s a casual place which makes it more comfortable. Everything is so painstakingly crafted with utmost detail and perfection. Even the simplest looking dish had a multitude of flavors and depth to it. Simply amazing!!

Prepare to spend at least 2 hours if not more to properly enjoy every single course.

Do note that drink pairing is an additional cost to your meal.

I've dined at numerous Michelin restaurants, but Florilège stands out among all of them for its creativity, balanced flavours and setting. Truly amazing to be able to witness all the chefs prepare all the intricate dishes in front of your eyes. Every single course was innovative AND delightful. Make sure to pick the full course menu if you come here, as you certainly don't want to miss a single one.

Great experience, wonderful food as expected. All the staffs were very open and friendly.

I’m very impressed by the mixologist who served me all the excellent and delicious non-alcohol drinks. Please note im a very picky drinker/eater and I usually wouldn’t overreact to food, especially drinks.

But here we go.

They were so, so, so delicious and it was my first time to enjoy so much more than just a fine dining experience without alcohol (I’m pregnant now and in the past with some other fine dining places I was either pregnant with our older ones or breastfeeding so couldn’t drink alcohol). It was an brilliant experience on top of the food experience.

Highly recommend anyone who doesn’t/can’t drink alcohol to try their non-alcohol pairings with their mixologist.

Here for a double birthday celebration. Only disappointment was not being seated at the bar. Each of the 11 courses was intricately created. The eggplant was my favorite of all.

Such an amazing experience. Everything was brilliant about this restaurant. From making reservations (very kind, accommodating and polite) to dinner itself. Went for post Tokyo marathon celebration and they went above and beyond to provide the most kind service and the food was beyond exceptional. Can’t wait to go back. Very well deserved 2 Michelin star restaurant.

Absolutely brilliant dining experience of catered tasting menu and fantastic, yet lively, connected service. The restaurant is almost all set around the counter encompassing the entire kitchen. Just a really great way to experience the wonderful food there. Wine pairing is top notch with unique bottles and all A+. Superb all around.

The food was very good, and for that I give 2 stars. But of course the service matters as much as the food, and respect for an occasion, but the service was bizarrely both great and terrible.

I (white American) was with my friend, both of us women, and it was my friend's birthday celebration (the restaurant knew). At the beginning of the meal, our server made a special point of enthusiastically emphasizing the "endless bread". Whenever we finished a small bread roll, he would bring more, especially as there were often several minutes' waits between courses. My friend, who is Asian-American (not Japanese ethnicity), and I, had not yet eaten that day, so we ate more bread than usual, but not a monstrous amount, and we both ate the same amount. At some point, the waiter addressed my friend (not me) with a loud exclamation, telling her exactly how many bread rolls she had had, and that "it was a record!" We were completely aghast. I have no idea what he was thinking. Soon after, while my friend was in the restroom, the waiter asked me (in Japanese) in a conspiratorial tone where she was from (I had already told him we're both American). So I told him again that she was American. Then he asked me, "Where is she really from?" At this point, I felt he was trying to pigeonhole her by her non-Japanese Asian ethnicity as something negative, so I just said again that she was only American (we spoke only in Japanese, which I am conversational in, so this negativity was not a lost in translation kind of thing).

While the rest of the service was great, and our waiter was obviously professional in every other respect, the explicit shaming over how much my friend was eating, and the casual anti-Asian sentiment left a bad taste for both my friend and me. Especially on her birthday celebration! We bore it all pleasantly, as we didn't want to completely ruin the night, but we ended up happy to leave. I honestly don't think that the server meant to bother us, and maybe it was because he was an older gentleman with older sensibilities, but perhaps he thought that his behavior was completely appropriate. I recommend that this restaurant educate this server on how not to offend guests, especially on a special day.

I do not recommend dining here at all if you are a non-Japanese Asian. I will certainly never return.

Our second visit few years later as there are so many good Frech restaurant in Japan and Ryuzu is certainly one of them. The Ryuzu menu dishes are excellent severd with best selected ingredients and cooked with top skills. However it was a bit too much for our appetite but we still enjoy it. If I recommend they use tea brand such as Dammann then it will be even better!

We had a small wedding celebration dinner with our parents here and the dishes and service was great! The dishes look small and fancy like most fine dining but at the end of the course we were pleasantly full and very satisfied. Very welcoming and friendly staffs too!

This was a great dining experience. First of all, they noticed that I was getting translations from Japanese from my fellow guest and switched the staff attending to us to communicate with us in a language I understood. A bit of hospitality goes a long way.

The food was great. There were things that I usually wouldn't like that they made a little differently that made me rethink my position on it.

There were a couple of non alcoholic "wine" options that I always appreciate.

It's the first place in a long time where I've dined that I thought I should go back again. Soon.

I’ve been to a few French restaurants in Tokyo. This is by far the best so far in terms of food quality, service and ambiance. We had the 8800 yen lunch set and it was worth it. Every dish tasted delicious and was beautifully presented. However, there are two things that’s making me drop the rating to 4 stars, instead of a five. For one, our server only showed us the menu for 8800 yen, and didn’t give us a choice of the 5800 yen. Since I was the one hosting the lunch, I didn’t say anything. If I were there by myself, I would definitely ask to see both menus. Second of all, the wine pour was very very skimpy, not even 1/3 of the glass. Since the meal wasn’t cheap, they could at least be fair with the wine.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been. Been here twice but this time I was really astonished by how wonderful each dish was. I could tell the chef has poured so much passion in every dish, plate, utensils, napkins, lights, interior design, name of the flowers, etc. We were able to get our own room which was nice during the pandemic. Full house. Every staff knew every little detail of all dishes, location of the ingredients, how the plates were designed by the chef himself, just the friendly atmosphere made the dinner even more special. They know when to come and pour the drinks, ask if the amount of food is too much, and checking what we’ve been discussing about the food so they can comment on the dishes. The bread and butter were so simple yet so yummy. I love how the chef mixed Japanese ingredients to the French sauces which weren’t too heavy and doesn’t make you get a food coma at the end of the course. The dessert was so sensitive and was just awed, too good to be true.

8/10

One of the managers was quite rude, not gonna lie, and for a ⭐️⭐️ Michelin, I wasn’t quite happy about the service.

Food was good (had to change some cuz of allergies; thus the above treatment…) The star dish was the duck for me. So. Damn. Good! Others, I am sure they were yummy too but for some reason I could only remember the duck 🤤

Ambiance was nice and intimate, but the mixture of marble and whatever material they use, was quite meh 😑

Got here for my friend birthday and was quite surprise with how great the food turns out. For 9000 yen, this is definitely a great bargain and very worthed! My favourite is their fish, they deep friend the bone and grilled the fish meat. Making it a very exciting experience! From the first dish to last dish, every single thing that I eat is really-really delicious! Couldn’t asked for more.

Ryuzu located in a low building basement at a quiet corner in Roppongi. The set lunch is reasonably priced with excellent local food produce. Cooking are sophisticated focusing to bring the original taste of their choicest products. Wine collection is not great but cautiously selected.

Le Bourguignon has got to be one of the most affordable French michelin star restaurant, at lunch time with the degustation, huge selection on dishes, but only one fish dish was offered, of all the dishes we all ordered, all had good to great taste, the waiters also tried their best to explain the dishes in English for us, very friendly staff, excellent service, wine selection was ok, one point I’ll like to mention is that due to the restaurant being small, the seating is a bit too close to each other for me, and the waiter would move in the gap in between the tables, but overall was a great dining experience, would definitely come back again, we even took a photo with the chef when he came out at the end of the lunch time session, hope they continue to improve and achieve their 2nd star!

The lunch sets are pretty good value overall. However, the dishes were a bit hit and miss. One fish main was light and brought out the natural flavours, the other was overpowered by the sauce which lacked complexity. Same goes for the starters - one hit, one average (all I could taste was the overused lime). Service is good and presentation is nice. Would have lost a star if I was judging this by dinner pricing.
