Very pretty, cute and small chapel well looked after. Easily missed as it is quite at the beginning, just before the ticket check point.
Recommended.
Beautiful Catholic Church.
Jahrhundert.

A historical church that I didn’t know much about. I am glad I came to learn about this beautiful church, and made a visit. Great that it is open to public for free, which is hardly the case in Vienna. Highly recommended to visit if you are in this area.

Kostenloser Eintritt 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The entrance is on the SIDE.and not by front. There was a huge painting of the Last Supper inside
Eine wunderschöne römische katholische Kirche.

Beautiful church as many have said. Enormous vaulted ceilings and white plaster add to sense of scale. The carvings on the pews are delightful. Gladly go back each time.
This church surprised me. I'd seen a few photos but they hadn't prepared me for how spectacular the place is. The vivid white stucco walls are broken up by fresco panels that are inset like jewels. It's like nothing else I've encountered before. It really does succeed at what I think is one of the primary aims of church architecture: creating a space where you really can feel the divine (whether or not you believe in it).

Truly a stunning place. The polychrome stone gives this place a unique colour palette and the glint of gold on so many surfaces produces a remarkably breath-taking atmosphere. Definitely one of those places that exhausts one's supply of superlatives. There were no lines or crowds when I went (weekday, off-peak season); I hope your luck is as good.

A lovely gothic church with quite a unique feel. It has the classic Gothic shape (the vaulted ceiling, the pointed arches, etc) but everything has been plastered over rather than the usual bare stone which gives everything a smooth feel which is quite striking. You won't need long to visit but you will have a wonderful experience inside this church.

Beautiful church in Vienna. 100%recommended to visit. If you're visiting Vienna, there is a Library and a lot of national museums next to the church, that you should visit. *One of the photos below is from the library*

Amazing architecture and atmosphere. This church doesn't get that much attention from tourists, there were no people around when we visited it.

Medium sized chapel, very nicely decorated, on the left side when walking towards the ticket scanning area.

Our tour guide took us here during a biking tour and it is STUNNING. The outside is rather nondescript but the inside of this church is truly amazing. We came in the early afternoon on a Tuesday in early September and we were the only ones there.

The architecture, ceiling murals and organ make it worth a trip!
Close to the malls in downtown while walking. Everything in the church was organized, spiritual and good looking. There was a parking lot CONTIPARK with 10- 15 minutes’ walk that in first 3 hours for free. Which gives the chance to visit the church, malls and palace down the road.
The most beautiful churches I have ever seen!
Incredibly beautiful church located in the incredible district 1 in Vienna. The church itself plunge up to the sky with its incredible spiers and steeple. Visit during the day then came back at night. The church itself is like a museum with its ornate exterior walls and all the art inside. You do not have to be religious to appreciate the beauty and awe inspiring details of St. Stephen's.

Quite a stunning cathedral, especially from the outside. You can visit the interior for free. You can also take a lift to the top of the north tower for €6 (cash only) which gives you good views over the northern part of Vienna. You can also pay €5.50 to visit the south tower which offers views over the whole of Vienna, although be aware that it involves climbing a lot of stairs in a spiral staircase. I am deducting one star due to the lack of cashless payment options.
Most popular place in Vienna. Lot of people but not crowded during weekdays. Free entrance into cathedral. Basement, some part inside and roof for additional fee. Strange to see cash only payments in the capital of Austria.
St. Stephen's Cathedral is an architectural masterpiece that left me in awe. The intricate details of its Gothic design, including the stunning stained glass windows and towering spires, are truly captivating. The interior is equally impressive, with its majestic altar and historical artifacts. Climbing the South Tower was a highlight, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Vienna. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and architecture lovers!
Amazing cathedral! This cathedral is one of the highlights of the city. The exterior is very beautiful (especially the Eagle on the roof) and interior is also really impressive. Going inside is free of charge but if you want to go further or to the catacombs there is a charge.
A splendid baroque church boasting beautiful icons and paintings. It's opulent yet not extravagant, as well as a perfect place for a quiet prayer, if you're religious/Christian.
We loved St. Stephen’s! We decided to buy tickets to the catacomb tour and the South Tower and we felt that we saw plenty. I think we spent about 10€ per person total to see both.

We loved the catacombs tour. Our guide was very enthusiastic and gave us a lot of information about the catacombs. It was very in depth and in both German and English. You pay at the end of the tour in cash (they have change).

The south tower was quite a trek - not for the faint of heart or claustrophobic. The stairs are very narrow and you end up walking past people going the opposite way. It gets very hot as well, so I’m not sure I’d recommend going on a hot day. We went on a rainy day and it was cooking, but thankfully the windows at the watch tower were open with a nice breeze to cool down at. You pay for tickets at the entrance of the South Tower.
Wunderschöne Kirche in der Nähe vom Haus des Meeres. Im Inneren ist die Kirche prunkvoll ausgestattet.

Amazing experience. Try to go early after opening time to avoid too much crowd. This still is a operating church and people can pray. Take a tour upstairs and enjoy the city view. There is church's bell not in use. Also, there is a small souvenir shop too.
Exploring the cathedral, I was in awe of the historical and cultural significance contained within its walls. The beautifully preserved chapels, altars, and tombs serve as a testament to centuries of religious devotion and artistic expression. The magnificent pipe organ, renowned for its powerful and melodic tones, adds a musical dimension that resonates deep within your soul.
The cathedral's intricate Gothic architecture is truly a sight to behold. The towering spires, intricate stonework, and magnificent stained glass windows create a visual masterpiece that transports you to a bygone era. Every detail, from the ornate sculptures to the delicate filigree, showcases the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who brought this remarkable building to life.

Most beautiful place of worship not to be missed.

Amazing church. My mouth was open, and my eyes were looking around the whole time. We attended Easter mass, which was beautiful.
What a beautiful interior! We were fortunate to visit when services weren't in process so we could take our time inside.

Sehr sehenswert!
The biggest highlight being the fairly big painting of the last supper, which I found well worth the visit and a place I'd recommend anyone visiting Vienna to stop by
Interesting Teutonic Church that should be on your places to visit.

The Minoritenkirche is a 13th century Gothic church that contains a life sized copy of Da Vinci’s Last Supper.

It is a mosaic made by the Roman mosaic artist Giacomo Raffaelli, commissioned by Napoleon I in 1809.

Randomly walked by and noticed the hallway lighting scheme and then proceeded to go in to check out the interior. I’m glad I did! Aside from the painting, the rest of the interior is also worth seeing. They do concerts and events here as well!
Sehr freundliche Menschen, sehr Familier habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

If it is open take a look inside, this part still has the old style from the former palace build by the architect Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, if you take a tour you see most the “news” architecture from Nicolas Pagassi
Lovely historical chapel with fantastic altar artwork. The chapel exudes a sense of higher purpose, reflection and peacefulness.

Ładny nieduży kościół który prawdopodobnie wiele widział. Wystrój barokowy ale bez przesady. Nie pasują tylko nowoczesne organy. Msza jest w niedzielę o 10:00. Mali ludzi przychodzi tu zwiedzać a warto.
We are looking forward to newly renovated church in the coming days. Renovation itself includes large efforts and dedication. The experts and the church preserve the very original works of arts. Thank you.
Einfach toll und lehrreich wie immer
Tolle Gemeinde um geistlich voran zu kommen

This is one of those examples that proves how tourists are cancer to places they visit, especially the overcrowded ones like Vienna and Prague etc Why? Because this Church was empty on a Sunday for 20 minutes while I visited!! It's three minutes from St Stephens Place and no one cares about it while, of course, other sites are so full of tourists you can barely throw a needle in there

This is a stunning piece of art with a lavish interior, Baroque decorations, paintings etc

A truly hidden gem! I was there for a small concert and was impressed by the interior decoration and overall ambiance! Great acoustic as well, by the way. Highly recommend stop by if you are happened to be downtown close to Stephansplatz or Stadtpark. Or ask your guide if you do a guided tour.

Beautiful baroque church. True jewel between busy shops and cafeterias. Splendid concerts during summer. I really enjoyed classic music there during few of my visits in this nice venue. Impressive gilded rococo organs! Be aware of Roma beggars and pickpockets all around and inside, even if you pray. Sometimes they get very rude and oppressive when you refuse to give them money. Shame!
Excellent place to live with family. All facilities at walking distance.

A nice place to see if you are around!
Somehow left off many guidebooks, it seems few are aware or visit the remarkably beautiful Dominican Church (Dominikanerkirche), found on Postgasse (street) in the Historic City Centre of Vienna. This free to visit church is one of our personal favourites in the city.

We very much enjoy making visits here, admiring the Baroque designed interior, which features includes lovely Matthias Rauchmiller frescos framed by ornate stucco throughout. Don't miss the wooden pulpit, alter painting or others found throughout the nave. The organ at the back is also worth seeing.

In the end, The Dominican Church is a very attractive church and conveniently located in the Historic City Centre. You can easily combine a visit here with that of the nearby and equally remarkable, Church of the Jesuits, just a few minutes away by foot.

In the forecourt next to the entrance to this atmospheric little church, a memorial records that Mozart lived here between March 18 and May 2, 1781. The young genius was here for only a few weeks but it was a decisive period for Mozart as it was during this time that he clashed with his employer, the Archbishop of Salzburg. As a result, the 25-year old Mozart resigned and decided to remain in Vienna as a freelance artist. It was a self-assured and courageous decision in light of the fact that most of the savings of the former child prodigy had been exhausted. It marked the beginning of a turbulent decade with great artistic successes, a happy marriage, children, wealth and respect combined with failures, intrigues, illness, debts and a premature death.
Johannes Brahms also lived on the top floor of the building between 1863 and 1865.
In the courtyard of the Deutschordenshaus, where you can visit the Treasury of the Teutonic Order, there are windows with old, wrought-iron lattice. Behind the windows is a small 18th century concert hall where the Mozart Ensemble Vienna performs concerts. Walk through the second courtyard (the summer location of a relaxed outdoor cafe) to return to Singerstrasse.
Continue left a few yards to Blutgasse. Time seems to have come to a standstill in the picturesque courtyards of numbers 9 and 3. The view from the window into this courtyard inspired Wenzel Müller (1767-1835) to compose the song titled: “Kommt ein Vogerl geflogen”. At the end of Blutgasse you come to Domgasse.
