Extremely disappointed today, they opened a window to speak to me instead of opening a freaking door. And basically told me, the drop in is full. Which they also wrote on a sheet of paper and taped to Their door, that it's full, call central intake. well I have been calling central intake all day, every hour. there are no beds anywhere. I wish I knew in advance to call either Sistering or Central Intake to check if they are letting women in or not. I had no idea they could even refuse to let women in crisis with nowhere to go, inside. I have nowhere to stay safe, to stay out of the elements, to eat, drink water, shower, or to get support and talk to someone about my absolutely broken state of mental health and desperately need help but nowhere is willing to offer me help. I am about to give up on living and ready to finally give up trying to fight for my life and fighting my mental health, my depression, my severe suicidality and constant mental breakdowns . It was really impersonal and dismissive and kinda hurtful the way the Staff at sistering cracked open a window to tell me to move along there is no room at the drop in, and then proceed to slam the window in my face as I attempt to explain how much I'm suffering and desperate to find help and trying to ask her where else I may find a 24/7 drop in or literally anywhere that is open late that can help me. cause not even hospitals will help me even when I've just survived a suicide attempt and have to be revived and resuscitated.. and then hours or a day later once medically cleared, sent on my way . and i can't seem to maintain shelter beds because of my poor mental health, suicide attempts and ideation, self harm and self destructive behaviours, mood disorder and anxiety disorder symptoms, panic attacks that are severe ,CPTSD ,OCD compulsions that won't stop sometimes for 24+ hrs in a row to the point of absolute exhaustion and wanting to end my life just to get myself to calm down and be able to rest. I got kicked out of my shelter the other day afrerbeing there for a couple months without issues and then I went downhill and suddenly got discharged. I wish I could cope on my own if I could do this on my own I would. but I need resources and services but even the ones that are there either always are full/at capacity, or they turn me away or discharged me due to my MH issues and the being a danger to myself factor. well this was a huge waste of my energy and time trying to get support here walked all the way here for nothing and felt discouraged and disappointed and absolutely let down. And shooed away. Like I'm a number , a number that they just see as being above their capacity number and out of their responsibility and scope of having to provide support and help and resource to and basic safety and needs.

Do not trust Sistering. Ever. My blood is on their hands. You break people down and neglect your own clients when they beg for help to protect the pennies in funding you recieve. The story is coming out whether you like it or not. I won't die for you people on Gawd.

I am glad to have a place that helps women in crisis in my neighbourhood. It amazes me that people take the time to write a negative review because of a bad smell or the inconvenience of people hanging around outside.

Waste of time.
Hit and miss whether they get back to you or not so don’t hesitate to follow up because you can fall through the cracks. They tend to be bureaucratic (they are government funded so they have numerical targets to preserve that funding) and where I can I get services or advice from other organizations first rather than negotiate the ACT maze. Some decent people work here though; as with any organization, it helps to cultivate relationships with them and seek their guidance.

Went here for a Simbang Gabi event, and although the place is cozy and space is limited, there were still enough attendees and vendors that made the night fun!

I felt deep sadness and heart broken seen beautiful woman going through worst situation it's really sad as society what we become heartless everyone past by not feeling the terrible condition those innocent women going through,
*And it's ugly that seeing few low profile losers 'guys' linger around this shelter and make seen on the street out of thier low behavior making others uncomfortable when passing by this need to stop they abuse those women situation and who know maybe the womens too.

Sistering is not like it used to be, its like shelter not drop in,
No meals for the ladies waiting outside saing its for the ladies ho live in while its full capacity, Getting so bad in times, some of the staff are very rude, I heard one of them saying bad word to a an other lady who lives in
It is a great place to experience the old times in Canada. You can see couple of people with old outfits to help you absorb the vibe.
It was a pitty that couple of houses were closed and the dollhouse exibition was not there anymore...
I was here last night on a group tour, most kids in third grade would have remembered pioneer village.

But at night it was definitely different.
The lovely Kent from haunted tours, took us around stopping at select houses and telling us the backstories and occurrences that have happened. Or so they say....

The one house I felt my chest get heavy and a slight headache was the Maser house. Located across the cemetery. Listen carefully to the story and be careful during your visit.

All in all , it was a good walk and cool ro see the village. I recommend it.

**** possible sighting

I've attached 2 photos taken by the cemetery. Look above the tallest tombstone between the 2 posted here. There is a red orb.

Happy travels.
It was so entertaining. This museum beautifully captures the essence of the 18 century, showcasing the lifestyles, houses, and jobs of that era. A fascinating journey into history! Well organized.

I felt really uncomfortable walking past this place at 09:00 pm tonight. I went to get food across the street and walking back to my car was awful. Why are there so many women on the streets. Are you refusing them shelter or what? Unsafe for citizens
This wonderful place gives you a great idea how the pioneers and early immigrants live in Toronto area. The Stong family (came to Canada 🇨🇦 from Ireland during the potato famine in 1830-40s) houses, tinsmith, blacksmith, printing shop, physician house, local hotel and brewery are all to be seen in this beautiful place. Tickets cost $18 per adult. Parking is extra. There is a shop to buy some souvenirs.
The center, which opened in 1974, is a stunning urban playground and one of the most popular destinations for locals and visitors alik and a great place to spend time strolling, picnicking, gallery-hopping, biking, shopping, and sailing. Harbourfront has several venues devoted to the arts. Underground parking is available on-site at 235 Queens Quay West, or above-ground one block west at Rees Street and Queens Quay West.

Serenity! Where blue meets the blue! Lake Ontario is not an ocean, and Toronto is not just a city. This place, lakeside view, city nights, and the people around always attract me. A good place for a walk, views of the airplane landing at Billy Bishop airport, and the mesmerizing dark blue watercolor (if you are lucky enough). This place gets messy during weekends, especially when tourists come around to hop on the Toronto Island ferry, otherwise, a perfect place to sit with a coffee and enjoy the beauty!

A very beautiful beach and a long walk along the beach may be a memorable trip to everyone, enjoy boating, speed boating with family and friends. You may enjoy the beautiful view of CN Tower and the skyrise buildings specially during evening.
I was there this morning.
The girl at the front desk was very kind. She suggested to me a couple places to go to continue a treatment.

I'm so happy to meet people who cares about others.

I'm thankful.
Is a great place to spend a day outdoors.
The houses are small and the village isn't so big but there are benches along the way you can sit and enjoy an afternoon.
You can also buy some food and drinks and yes they sell beer!

We've been here many times but it is still enjoyable. The kids (teenager and beyond) still enjoy the outing. Watching the 'free run' chickens was very enjoyable. They seemed very happy. The Billy goat enjoyed her rake message. The sheep is very friendly. We visited the different houses and the attendant tells a good history, but the barn animals are so alluring.
This harbor front is amazing 💯. Everything is beautiful, and there's so much to do and see. You can have a great dinner, stop and get dessert 🍨 and enjoy the boats 🚢 and planes landing and taking off at the airport. You can also turn around and check out Toronto's amazing skyline with the CN tower as the pin 📌 point. This place is worth spending some time 💯. Give it a try.

Summer is the best at Harbourfront Center. I love the opportunity to experience so many different cultures at no extra cost. It's also just a 5 minute walk from Union Station.

I faced racial abuse near this place. Now that I read other comments I can comprehend why it happened to me. I was walking by this area for the first (and the last) time and there were a bunch of women yelling and drinking straight out of bottles near this place. My wife and I were spat on by a lady and we had no choice but to control our anges and move on.

We picked one of the hottest day of summer Wednesday July 5th.2023 to visit Harbourfront Centre.
Overall one of the exciting trip by Go Train to Union Station and walk through many skyline towers to reach the waterfront.
Beautiful views of Lake Ontario and surrounding areas where we took lots of pictures.
Highly recommended to visit and enjoy this entertaining neighborhood.
Very welcoming team , they offer drinks say water or coffee and offer you a seat then they will attend to you with smiles 😻

Great place to learn more about the history. When I walked in, it felt like stepping into the Netflix series "Wednesday"!
The area is spacious, taking around 2 more hours. Be aware of the sun! Make sure to do some prevention in advance.
Also has a great souvenir store inside!
I went there on Canada Open Day 2023; not sure if it needs a ticket or not.

Beautiful views and building. However very few people of ethnic backgrounds in the club. Not diverse at all.
Food is also mediocre at best, not worth it, especially considering the price!
Set in the 1860's and overall a great experience.

Some things to note:
You can get a discount for parking so bring your parking ticket with you when you go inside to buy the ticket for the village. At the counter you can ask them to add parking and they give it to you for a bit cheaper.

It did seem a bit deserted on a Sunday and a lot of the places did not have any people in them to guide you. It was if they were opening them slowly even though it was 1pm and they close at 4pm.

There are not a lot of food options there so bring snacks! They do sell cookies and bread there but it was expensive. For example, it was $1 per cookie as it is freshly made. It is hard to find water there so it is better to bring a water bottle with you.

It would take a total of 2 hours to go through everything.

A great area in downtown Toronto, right on the waterfront with lots going on always. The area is definitely a year round destination but comes alive in the summer! Many shows and venues reside in this area and you can always find something interesting to do in the area. Super clean inside and out with great spaces everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised to find outdoor washroom facilities on site that were super clean, the best I’ve ever seen. Lots of food options, available nearby, as well as seating and places to chill.

Came here for the Stop Farmers' Market, which takes place every Saturday. The vendors here sell a variety of goods, including mochi (Japanese rice cakes), fresh bread, vegetables, fish, candles, and chocolate. I mainly came for the mochi daifuku, which is sold by Natural JapanEats. They have a range of flavours to choose from and the flavours change every week. I bought a box of 6 daifuku for $26. The flavours I got were coconut, sakura leaf, fig cream, matcha, and pomelo. They all tasted delicious and fresh. Natural JapanEats also sells kiri mochi and sushi. The women working at the booth were very friendly. I'm glad that I got to try their products because fresh mochi can be hard to find in Toronto, especially mochi in unique flavours. I highly recommend checking out Natural JapanEats at the Stop Farmers' Market.

I came to Canada as a refugee in 2022 May, traumatized, with no any family member. I was fortunate to be accepted where I received immeasurable support. And I feel lucky to have benefitted from such benevolence. Staff are kind and loving, Sistering drop in is a family with friendly environment and are always willing to assist and never too busy to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Sistering by the help of Lourdes,Alison, Angel, Patricia, Wendy, Jamilah, Nicole, Dr Ray, Dr Mona, and Dr Dixon among others gave me support and encouragement when I had very little hope. With their help, I was able to access laudable medical attention and care at no cost. After regaining my health, they encouraged and effectively supported me through the IRB process, and education as a psw, and now am upgrading to nursing, Lourdes and Alison God bless you so much.
They ensured that i never felt alone or left out by making Christmas, birthdays, and other festive days beautiful and am eager waiting for my valentine gift from them, of course yes😉😊. Valentine gift for me😘
And today i move in to my new apartment, everyone was happy for me. I was nervous and express my lonely ness feelings to Alison, and she encouraged me, also telling me calls us incase you need anything. I really felt loved😘.
I have immensely benefited from sistering resources and programs. Through their mentoring and encouragement, I was able to set goals for myself and achieve milestones.

I successfully pursued and completed the personal support worker program of Ontario Certification program at UMS college Dufferin I was also able to successfully applied for housing rent subsidy with the help of Lourdes, Words cannot express my gratitude to the management and staff of Sistering, and from the bottom of my heart, I say THANK YOU for your kindness and support. I can look at the future and smile😊again. Sistering has served thousands of refugees from all around the world, is the helping hand and the umbrella of hope for refugees and homeless while they begin to rebuild a life in Toronto.Sistering is a mother and a family to me, i am happy and privilege to grab all the benefits from sistering.
I love you all God bless you so much!
With love
Faith.
Was very happy to support this community of wonderful people and their programming

My mom has been here 3 plus years and I can tell you with confidence that Belmont House is the best Retirement and long term care home available in Toronto. The waiting list is 6 years for a reason and that time frame keeps growing. The staff is wonderful and many activities are offered daily. It's almost like an all inclusive 5 star hotel for the elderly. The people you find here have all done great things for Canada in their youth. I am proud to belong to this community. ❤️
Fun time. Music, food and beach views at this private club.

Beautiful view above the beach and walking path. Lovely staff. Food is excellent especially the burger. And the drinks are reasonably priced. Lovely spot to hang out if a member.
Wonderful organization. Felt supported by program managers and all the staff. Great place for artists to access funding for their art projects.

It’s a well known secret that Belmont House is the best of the best in Ontario. The facility has elite accreditations with a highly skilled and compassionate management team.
The satisfaction rate of Belmont families sits comfortably at 99%! They are currently rolling out the Butterfly program for dementia care, one of the first of its kind in Canada.

With years of experience with family members at Belmont, I have no hesitations whatsoever to recommend.

These people are absolutely the worst kind of individuals hottest day of the year I looked it the driveway I saw an ice cream truck went to buy my boss and I a well earned ice cream only to have a staff member say no I couldn't...... unbelievably why no comparison r sure don't send your loved one to this place. They are very discriminate of others there was no one in line it wouldn't have inconvenienced anyone in the slightest. Absolutely one of the most brutal experiences of my life I m in total shock
Back to the Balmy Beach Area in the middle of January. The 15th of 2021. Wow I have never seen this area and beach during the winter. Always wondered each spring why the sand is so high and up so far near the beach club. Now today I have finally seen the true power of the waters around this area and it pushing debris and sand further up near the beach club. Even the sound of the water can be heard for miles.

Love the views at and around Kew Balmy Beach Club. Amazing sights from the patio. Friendly staff and all around great place.

This organization is terrible. Nothing but a bunch of liars who try to lie to the public about nutrition. I know you are reading this review and then you delete it. You work for a horrendous organization. Nutrition has EVERYTHING to do with someone's health as well as vitamins and minerals, and organic food and herbal remedies. I hope you go under you liars!
Attended their Peach workshop. They are such an awesome and friendly staff. Very lovely and supportive organization.
A wonderful organization that helps support the arts in Toronto
Went on market day and loved it!!! Tried some fresh onigiri and mochi, brought home cilantro olive sourdough bread and had a great chat with a few vendors. 10/10 morning.
Perfect retirement home and nursing home well maintained

This location is bliss, perfect for our nights to relax while we enjoyed the sunset. We had a few wonderful nights on the beach and I even proposed on the night these pictures where taken. She said yes by the way!! 🇨🇦💍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💍🇺🇸
I attended a volunteer information session here and wow, this is one tightly run ship. The staff are warm, respectful and welcoming. The services offered are diverse and thoughtful, with a calendar packed full of programming, events, outreach, information sessions, group activities and a whole lot more. This organization is no doubt a life-line to the community it serves, but will no doubt have profound impact communities far beyond the ones that immediately come to mind through their commitment to end stigma through education and engagement and advocating for respect and acceptance. My application to volunteer here will be submitted shortly.

This was a beautiful venue for our annual awards ceremony. Charlene was an absolute pleasure to work with. The views of the lake are stunning
this is the headquarter for the Association for Iranian studies formerly the international society for Iranian studies. why there is no actual office for it it is located within the department of Near and Middle Eastern Studies and University of Toronto. It is a private non-for-profit non-political organization of persons interested in Iranian studies in the broadest sense.
Attended Halloween Howl with Solid and Rob with my little ones. Amazing show if you have not taken it in. The farmers market is not to be missed either. Highly recommended. It's a good way to meet other members of the community and it's important to teach our children how they can be part of the local community.

My mother lived there and I volunteered there. Not only is it the "seniors home of choice", it has received the ultimate official confirmation of being the best possible by official inspections resulting in it being accredited "in exemplary standing". Anyone who retires there or who is a long-term patient there or who works or volunteers or visits there should consider themselves truly blessed.
