Beautiful place for photos. I took my mom for mother's day. She enjoyed it. If you're a St.Louis resident, you get a discount at only $6 per person. I was surprised that they had a vegetable section.
Beautiful gardens with guided tram tours, plenty of walking space on paved paths, lots of plant variety and climates all present. Was very busy but there were still pockets of tranquility and peacefulness scattered throughout to explore and discover. Small Cafe and restaurant right on the grounds. Several rare and endangered plant species are kept and nurtured there. Well worth the trip and easily 2~4 hours well spent in the sun and greenery.
SLAM is one of my favorite museums! My family and I went to see the Henri Matisse Exhibit. It was fascinating! I spent more time immersing myself in his art than taking photos❤️🖼️
I love the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I've been a member for many years. Spring is my favorite time to visit the garden and I try to go weekly because so much changes each week.
Perfect Sunday in April to visit. Sunny and mid 60s. I brought my camera and had a blast walking around taking pictures. This place is big. A lot of plants and flowers aren’t bloomed yet but it’s still pretty. The gift shop is large and prices aren’t terrible. Good location for the garden, lots of parking! Definitely come back in the summer 🌺🌸💐🪴🪺☘️🌲🌼
Our little heaven is a safe foster care system I know because I use to be in foster care at our little heaven when I was very young I highly recommend them
Beautiful garden and VERY large! You could easily spend 2-4 hours here. We really loved this place, but for my husband, kid, and I, it was $48. My brother is local and it was free for him and his kid. $48 felt steep for an hour walk and a teenager that was only there because had to be. Teens should be $6 with a paying adult like the locals later in the day, if not free like the 12 and unders.
Free to the public this is an essential visit for anyone and should be frequented at regular intervals. Be sure to leave a donation if you enjoyed the day feeding your soul.

We waited over an hour for 1/2 of a grilled cheese and chips (it arrived stone cold and was inedible for $14) and the egg and ham sandwich (which arrived missing ingredients and since it is order and then get your food brought to you service there was no way to get this fixed since the girl of the ordering counter absolutely did not care at all about doing any sort of job). I did not want the sandwich, but ordered it because they were out of what was actually good on the menu. So be prepared for that as well.
The gardens themselves were wonderful and I desperately wish we had simply skipped the cafe so that we could truly enjoy them instead of having our time eaten into with very bad food that was highly overpriced and ridiculously long awaited.

What a beautiful botanical gardens right in the middle of a charming neighborhood. I think they said it was 76 acres. It was a perfect day to go. Mid-60's and sunny in March. I was surprised how many plants and trees were already in full bloom outside. They also have some great indoor areas. The glass dome was full of gorgeous plants and trees, with waterfalls and flowing water throughout. I loved the Japanese garden areas so much. So beautiful and relaxing. There were little pools with great statues around the grounds. I saw that there was a restaurant with cute outdoor seating, but we didn't eat there. Great store with so many fantastic and unique items/gifts. There were lots of people, but at most times, we didn't feel like it was too crowded. We enjoyed our visit.
An absolutely can't miss St. Louis attraction. We are soo fortunate to have such and incredible museum at our fingertips. The FREE admission is mind boggling (though donations are appreciated)! No reason not to come enjoy this amazing place. I attached a few pictures of my personal favorites.
I’ve probably reviewed St. Louis art Museum 10 times. Consistent themes include we have a very underrated art museum. Some of the best exhibits in the world come to our art museum. The pictures I’m uploading on this review is of Art in Bloom. It comes in March every year for about 2 to 3 days. Florist create flower arrangements depicting an artwork. It’s amazing. It gets better and better every year.
One of the most remarkable aspects of visiting this stunning and beautiful museum on Fridays is the price: FREE !!
As a StL County resident, I parked in Forest Park - Education Center Visitor parking lot and jumped on a SLAM "Art in Bloom" shuttle bus. In less than 5 minutes drive, the shuttle driver delivered us safely & directly in front of the museum (on top of the majestic Art Hill).
This morning I relished the time in the SLAM galleries. I not only enjoyed the incredible blooms and floral displays, but also the accompanying pieces of art work.
And March 1, 2024 was one of those rare SLAM Fridays!! I was also blessed to immerse myself in: Matisse and the Sea. I rediscovered a Francophone artist I had loved years ago. I was grateful for the QR code audio tour, the geographical tour, and countless ways that this exhibition is inclusive:)
SLAM goes above the call of duty to not only make art accessible for all, but more importantly demonstrates that art can unify us ... young & old, conservative & liberal, male & female,

It's spectacular. There is not much more to say.
It's reasonably priced for admission. It's beautiful, the views from the random spots you can sit along the way around a particular area are all great.
If you use the train, the drivers are all great and super knowledgeable about the flora.

The only other art museum that I've been to that rivals this one is the Denver Art Museum, and that location charges you.
This is a free art museum with multiple floors of some of the most breathtaking pieces that you've ever seen. The amount of genuine treasure they have is amazing, and their cultural sections have a ton to offer. My favorite is their Egypt exhibit.
You can expect to spend between 2-4 hours there if you've never been before. If you are looking for entertainment and you are new to Saint Louis, this should be near the top of your list.

Not only does Missouri’s chapter of The Nature Conservancy clearly prey upon underprivileged members of our community to harass people trying to simply go to work or get their groceries in the Central West End, they blatantly hide the scandals of their operations from anyone kind enough to stop and listen.
Take your time and money to non-profits that don’t launder money through cash donations and hold onto over $1 billion in funds while selling land to corporate donors.

This is an amazing group of people breaking down barriers to educating and supporting those less fortunate.
Great organization, with small, accessible administrative staff and a sizable volunteer staff. The nursery is next to Creve Coeur Park with beehive-like activity 2-3 mornings per week. Trees are started from saplings, transferred to bigger pots as they grow, and are distributed to public areas in need of trees at no cost. The nursery gets better every year.
Wonderful cause. Great people. Great opportunity to volunteer.

If you ever have to go to St. Louis while a loved one is in a hospital there, look into Little Bit Of Haven. Great price, friendly staff, full kitchen and laundry privileges. Only minutes from the major hospitals.
My company spent a few hours volunteering. Great staff. Great cause. I recommend donating to them. Either in items or your time by helping out.

Our Little Haven does so much for children from various backgrounds to help them in transition they give them hope, love and inspiration. Little Haven is relentlessly committed to providing early intervention services for children and families. Their professional caregivers creates a safe, secure and healing environment for those impacted by abuse, neglect, and mental or behavioral health needs. Please others donate these little girls and boys need us.

Amazing org, My coworkers and I visit once a week to volunteer and make a change in this crooked world. It gives me so much joy to be able to do something greater for someone else.

What a great foundation. In only its second year, they are already up to 10 schools this year as compared to 3 last year, which was also their first year. Everyone here truly cares and believes in what they're doing. I'm so glad my company volunteered here. I encourage everyone to come donate their time if possible. This place truly makes a difference one child at a time.
