Reviews

Went here a few weeks back. Love the place and the views. Parking is a bit tight but got in just ok. Garden is meticulously taken care of. Great view of the Hudson river. Great place to walk around and possibly get engaged!!! There was a wedding going on and had to close early. Would definitely go back. And it's FREE! Restrooms are tidy, I don't think dogs are allowed. Lots of picnic areas.
One of my favorite gardens to visit. I wish it was closer to New Jersey but it’s always worth it the drive it’s a beautiful garden to visit in spring and summer specially with family.

What a WONDERFUL Community-Based program that offers IMPORTANT and NEEDED resources to its residents and the City of Yonkers!
I have known staff members for over 10 years!
Pleasant, professional, resourceful and most of all, DEDICATION 💯!!!
Didn't really visit just stopped briefly but area did seem very clean, organized, professional and friendly.
The garden is beautiful! There were still so many lovely flowers out. The grounds were well-kept and you can tell they take such pride in making the space for the community to enjoy by keeping a clean, free to the public, with lots of area to roam around.
Beautiful place to walk around - even though it is from over a century ago - it seems like this place was made for digital pictures to be taken. The grounds were beautifully kept with fun surprises around every corner. The gatehouse garden is off the beaten path, but totally worth scoping out.

Only con: Bathrooms were pretty smelly and could use a refresh.
These gardens were a beautiful experience! It was like I was in Italy or somewhere in Europe. The grounds very clean. It has a botanical garden, a nice hiking path that leads to a waterfall. There is a beautiful high view that you can enjoy. It’s like you’re on top of the world. I’d recommend anyone to visit this beautiful spot.
Beautiful place. My husband and I came here during the summer. The gardens is a mixture of beautiful plants and constructions. The entrance is free and they have a lot of nice volunteers to explain the garden map and activities. The place has an easy access and you can get here by car (there's a parking lot and also spots on the street) but it's also pretty close to the train station, specially if you're coming from NYC, although the walk is a little steep. I really want to come back on winter and spring to see other seasonal plants and activities!
This is one of the most beautiful parks in New York. Imagine a taste of Italy in Yonkers, NY. I visit here often during the summers. The place is breathtaking. Gorgeous, greenery, and steps to walk towards the hudson River. It's the type of place you know people dream of getting married at. Perfect for pictures, video, and family time. Everyone is always respectful. I can sit and take pictures for hours here. It's just stunning. This is a must-see place in New York. Go check it out and donate.
Nice place but some of the staff aka The business improvement district are so rude and unprofessional. I went to speak to someone the other day, This man his name is Donnell I believe was so rude. He really needs to fix his attitude. Please train your workers better on how to interact with residents and customers.
Definitely a gem in Yonkers, and a great place to hike and explore the views of the nice architecture and the Palisades. As one of my friends said, in response to a photo I took at this location, it was like I am in wonderland. I went to Untermeyer in the winter, and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate that was being served that the colorful lights that lined the architecture. Overall, a great location and I look forward to returning!
The best park/ garden at Yonkers. I have been there three times in one month. I loved the area. Parking was free, Best place for photo shoots for couples. The waterfall was awesome. Without taking any fees, the way they maintained the Garden is very much appreciable. Loved the place.
This is another place I found by accident but glad I did. Absolutely beautiful place. Pay what you wish, easy parking friendly staff. I always recommend this place to friends.great place for wedding, engagement or any other special event for pictures. Photos don't do it justice. Definitely one of my one of my favorites places. One of those places you didn't realize was this close to the city.
At around 3pm I’m trying to call them for simple questions about the hours for food distribution but within 6 secs of hold time they hang up on me its the second they did
Wish I could’ve bring a lower rating then 1!
had a chance to visit Grace Christian Church - Yonkers with my husband... first we had Sunday School class/Bible Study then we proceeded to Worship Service face-to-face and on-line with some of the elderly members... had a nice lunch too with brothers and sisters... a day of fellowship!

The grounds are beautiful with lots of history.
This was a sweet experience with my grandchildren. The staff were so engaging with them from the moment we boarded the barge. They loved the different aspects of the experience - from learning about different ways plants can grow to the water creatures they are studying.
Excellent place for students to get help and information about upcoming college year. My grandson really enjoyed interacting with the advisors and students there.
High quality of programs/events put together by Yonkers Downtown BID. I look forward to the summer concert series every year. I imagine it is a lot of work to put these events together - I love how the events are accessible to all.
If you want to meet a karen , you must come to this place. I started to talk to her she looked scared and annoyed that i walked into the property to find out what type of business they do there or provide .
I love this place. Its so important in so many ways in how it demonstrates many old and new technologies. I always learn something when I come and not necessarily what I thought I'd learn. I was here yesterday, Tuesday December 15, 2020 and I came with only one goal in mind and that was to photograph oyster populations that would be visible in the super low tide. I did that but had so many other take aways. Some of those were related to the oysters and many others had nothing to do with them.

Helpful environment enjoyed the workforce program that they offer
That's a amazing and peaceful place.
On a beautiful day or when I just want to meditate this is my favorite place to be. I enjoy sitting by the water and sipping on a cup of coffee it's so beautiful and peaceful.😊🌺
I leave a review nowadays to keep a record of my thoughts and feelings about certain places and what information I came across that weather been good or bad. I never thought in all my years of hard time and being familiar with Greyston bakery for more than 20 years not as an employee had family members that worked at Greyston bakery as managers had a child born through the product of all of us have a manager that works at Greyston bakery and I met him from trying to find employment. I was having hard times throughout the relationship I was abuse domestic violence stayed in the situation I went to Greyston bakery foundation asked for help with housing and employment.

However many times after that years later I will go to the foundation and we talk in 25 years I’ve never been allowed to partake in any programs to Greyston foundation. I was just recently told that because I’m disabled that I couldn’t partake in any programs with Greyston bakery that’s a shame because I have a ticket to work an allowed to work part time and I know I fall under the income guidelines . Because I’ve been struggling for the past 25 years .
Great educational place for grade schoolers but everyone can go there to learn some basic science. I enjoyed the experience.
Filming location of "ELEMENTALY" season 3 #22
I don't know what all the ado is about but I've lived in Virginia Beach so staring at a filthy river just isn't that appealing to me. For Yonkers i suppose its nice but you'd be better off going into the city. At least there's a vibe. Funny thing is, the further you are from the river the better the view of the river.
I moved to Yonkers in 2010 and over the past 9 years the transformation has been amazing! Proud to be a Yonkers resident!
They help one find employment and other things relevent to the subject.

Super impressed with the caring staff especially Mitzi !! This place helps sooo many people in the community. Keep up the great work !! They also accept donations of clothing , toys etc.
The Science Barge is not huge. Although the facilities are small, there's lots to see and learn about environmental sustainability and the instructors are knowledgeable. The view is wonderful.
I visited the Science Barge, which is a self sustaining boat docked in the iconic Hudson River in the Yonkers waterfront area, which is beautifully updated with some great restaurants, including Xavier on the Hudson pretty impressive with it's solar panels, hydroponics farming, compost, and recycled water. The fruits and vegetables are beautiful and tasty.

Great Unity Rally today
This floating farm is excellent for both children and adult to learn and understand a bit more about different type of plants and how they grow. We were given a guided tour of the facility and were shown insects that are good and bad for a plant base environment. In addition, the floating farm also generates its own electrical source with multiple solar panels across the boat. Defenetly a place to check out if you are in the area.
Very helpful place
“The Science Barge”
The Science Barge is an incredible ongoing demonstration of the potential of urban farming. What makes the barge great is that the crew can make it a great experience for kids while also educating adults. The depth of the science going on at the barge goes far beyond what one can learn in an hour-long visit. Definitely one of the.
Because I go to school there for the culinary arts and I also work for Greystone Rangers it's the best place to be if you have a police record and need to get help they will help you find jobs and all kinds of work skills it's a very good place to be because if it wasn't for Greystone I don't know where I would be right now
Since 2009 it has been an enriching, learning experience. I've learned a lot about myself and have grown with the assistance of the Greyston staff. Their care, concern and overall professionalism have been a great tool in my forward movement.
