Wonderful experience! The camp grounds were amazing with really nice views and easy water access. The hosts were so kind and caring. Washrooms were kept nice and clean. Absolutely incredible overall !!

Terrible. Owner is rude. Unsanitary conditions and overall just unfriendly

We really enjoyed our time at Kings Portage! When we got there the owner Jan showed us all the sites in her golf cart which was really cute. We chose a nice private campsite with an outhouse right next to it and a washroom a bit further down. At night it was nice and peaceful as we had our fire going. Their Marina is just down the hill from our site and the tributary leads to Baxter Lake. Overall, that whole area is so beautiful and we'd definitely visit again!

Stayed here for 1 night. The staff seemed very pleasant. It is a nice camping area. And we really liked our camping spot.

While we like a quiet and rustic campground, this campground is just not well maintained. The site we were on was a pretty good but open and close to neighbours. The bathrooms were probably original from the 60s, not clean and had people's personal items in them (ie razor, shampoo etc) The men's and women's were also not separate even though you could lock the stall door. There was no where to put garbage other than finding the owner to give it to her which wasn't helpful when we were leaving. And the biggest problem is that there is NO DUMP STATION! We had to take our trailer to the provincial park which was 10 minutes away and had to pay $15.50. If you are considering staying in this area I would suggest Six Mile Provincial Park. Don't get me wrong, the owner and staff were very friendly, I just think the park is is need of upgrades and cleaning before they can charge that type of money.
Update: I received a very nice reply from the owner who explained the reasons for the condition of the park. She added that she was reconsidering the rates she was charging for this season. If you are thinking of booking here just be mindful and ask more questions so you are aware of the conditions when you arrive.

Wonderful park.Janice is great!
Lovely river, docks and lake. The firewood was stocked, there are washrooms with showers, great campsites and nice trails to hike on.
Overall had a great time and would recommend coming here. Very reasonably priced and close to a store if you need anything.
If you need a great wilderness getawa, Kings Portage lived up to its name.
Thanks!

A small camper park, operated by the owner (Janice). It has a river passing through it and docks you can tie a boat to and a cleaning station for fish. They rent a small boat for fishing, as well as a pair of canoes. The fishing off the dock was great, the kids caught pike, bass and lots of sunfish.
The grounds are basic but include a shower station, a games area with horseshoe pits and a net for volleyball or badminton as well as lots of seating by the river.

Very. Nice relaxing park with wonderful owners and a great mix of people. Sites are large and comfortable. Bass fishing is very good. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a place to go and spend a few days relaxing in a great natural environment.
