It’s a great option for gym in barcelona. They have inside pool, schedule classes of every kind throughout the day, machines for lift weights, etc, Machines could use a bit of update and on weekends they could open a little bit earlier.

Good gym, it has swimming pool and everything you need

So when I first signed up no one informed me that if I want to cancel my membership that I have to do it a month before. I went on the first of December to cancel my membership since I’ll be traveling and I signed the contract that I’m canceling and whatnot and today I wake up to see that they’ve charged me for the membership. I call and ask and apparently I had to go from the first of November to cancel for December which no one told me about and all they could say was sorry when it was their mistake for not informing me about the policy. I’ll never be coming here again.

Terrible gym experience all round. Signed up looking for a middle ground gym with some nicer amenities, which they list online and proudly talk about. In reality the sauna has been in the “will be back next week” phase for the last month, the showers are cold, hairdryers don’t work, and the jacuzzi is a lukewarm bath. For the price that you pay you would think some of the amenities would work, but if they didn’t then at least you could get a good workout in. Wrong. The gym itself is actually worse. With one machine/station for each workout you are guaranteed to be waiting. On top of that almost none of the machines are new. It’s almost impossible to get a quick workout in unless you are insanely lucky, and if you aren’t looking for a quick workout you will have to change your plan several times to accommodate there only being one of each machine.

On top of that the management sucks and will blatantly lie to you about the machines or amenities to make a quick buck.

Only decent thing about this gym are the classes, which are well ran and quite intense. But even that doesn’t justify the price you pay.

Simply don’t sign up for this gym. I did and even though I still have a membership I stopped going because of how unpleasant it was. Now just watch as they respond saying thank you for the review but don’t listen to a single word of my review or any other.

I just purchased a 3 months gym membership. I was told during the purchase process this was the cheapest offer they could provide. 3 days later I decided to cancel my membership as the equipment they had in the gym was broken and the showers were always running cold, or just dribbling out water. I also found out there was a 1 month membership option, far cheaper than what I was sold.

After only 3 days of my membership I contacted the gym to cancel my membership, but they "refuse" to give me a refund.

The customer service is also appalling. They just want to take your money!

I am now getting legal advice on consumer rights.

The center is fine for my part, it has all the machines and weights I need. I could use longer opening hours (or unmanned hours, I'm used to a 24 hr gym).

Bad experience, no hot water, the air conditioning is not working.
The gim smells bad.
There are better options in Barcelona.

A little expensive and body buildings area was not updated, some of them are old.
Many dance plans and swimming pool was great.

Joined for a year. And decided to sign out for many reasins; the security system is very annoying. You need the bracelet and your finger print to get in all different parts of the gym. Showers are old and smell like public swimming pool. Old machines. Always packed. The girls at reception are unfriendly, they barely acknowledge you when you need help. Charge 1€ if you forget your bracelet. I think at this price you can find a better gym.

I am a member of Sant cugat Dir. Since my work is in barcelona I decided to upgrade my membership. I went here to enroll and later the receptionist let me seen the center and I decided to enroll. When I came back to enter she said I am member in Sant Cugat and claret. She said she didn't understand me. There is no sense that she showed me the center and later she will put in me the claret 😔. And later when she called someone to fix and change it. I was overpayment. They speak catalan but I understand it completely. They changed it but she didn't tell me that I have overpayment. I hope someone can take proper action on this! Well bad experience for the first day and the jacuzzi is not working there is no bubbles even though I keep pressing the button 😥.

Really good gym.
Location is very central .
This gym is over several levels, each level with different training options. This gym is compact and can get busy.
Very nice functional training rack , complete with Olympic bars , elastic bands , Olympic rings.
Day visit EURO 9.70 , check-in can take some time ( be patient)
Shower and lockers available , no need for padlock since lockers work with wristband.
Towels are provide.

I joined this gym recently and signed up for personal training sessions in order to learn new workout routines. During the first session a week ago, I asked if I should take down notes of the routine since I have a bad memory when it comes to exercises. The trainer said this won't be necessary; he will send me a PDF of the routine with photos and explanations the next day. A week has passed and I have not received this document.

I have followed up several times (“Could you please send me the routine…?”). Here are the responses I have received:
- I have football training. I’ll try tomorrow.
- I have other clients who are also waiting.
- (no response to follow-ups)
- I have a lot of work and many clients. I do what I can.

I passed by the gym and talked with the person at the front/reception about the situation. He told me that the trainer has a lot of work and that I have to be more understanding. I replied that I do understand and have been patient but a week of delay is too much. He said he will talk with the trainer.

To date, I have only been given excuses/explanations. No one has given any apology.

These are the facts of what has happened so far. As for my opinion: DIR’s training of their staff seems to be inadequate, DIR may be overloading their trainers with too much work, and DIR likely doesn’t compensate their trainers enough for them to perform their work well.

To all involved: Please do better.

I was a happy customer for the first year and suddenly they charged me 50% more in the renewal. They claimed that an email was sent to me but I never received anything. Tried to reason with them but nothing could be done. I have no doubts of cancelling promptly once my contract is up.

Every time I go the gym there seems to be another machine out of service that remains out of service for weeks on end. Only 2 out of the 5 rowing machines are working both leg extension machines were broken a number of treadmills and other resistance machines remain broken. Completely unacceptable for the price of the gym

The gym itself is ok, pretty equipped with treadmills and rowing machines. They have 2x each of the other stations. They only have one free weight lift station (which is the most used) and there is almost always a queue at it.

The swimming pool is alright, but usually crowded. The really nice thing are the saunas and ice bath.

They hold plenty of classes, but done poorly and fast, resulting in injuries. My girlfriend broke her back in a body pump class after explaining the instructor her situation and instructor continued assure her that it’s ok, she can do the class.

The classes are usually held in catalan.

For covid restrictions in December 2021, they restricted the access in gym for members who don’t have covid certificate, but still charged full amount for the subscription. When confronted and asked for a refund, they delay the response 4 months and state that “no refund can be provided, pool was open”.

I really dig the gym and pool but the poor review is for the steam room. It's full of MOLD, which is quite toxic to breathe.

They need to clean and fix both male and female steam rooms... And stop using caulk to fix up dents in the sauna, once again this is highly toxic to breathe at that temperature.

Do NOT come here and waste your time. They advertise a free trial, I fill a form online and didn’t get any reply. I come in person spending 20 mins to get there and they told me I can’t get in without my PHYSICAL PASSPORT.

Sorry which person with common sense will walk around with their passport in Barcelona with all the pickpockets around?

So this place is falsely advertising a free trial when they never said you need to bring a passport.

Great gym with all the equipment needed for functional training. Not so as big as many others but far better equipped with racks for squats, deadlift and calisthenics. Focus clearly on freeweights and lifting equipment besides to many machines.

I visited this place with my son for 3 times during our stay in Barcelona. Really liked gym - it's well equipped for both cardio and free weights workouts. Swimming pools is also very comfortable,
there are 2 pools, 1 sauna and 1 jacuzzi in total, just take in account to use the pool, you must bring a swimsuit, hat and flip flops.
The official prices are modest - € 13.08 for adults and € 6.78 for children, but it could be flexible.
I would also denote the staff, these guys are very kind and ready to help, espessally Anna.
I would recommend this place with no doubt, so don't hesitate, it's worth the money you spend on.

Excellent gym. Really well equipped. There are 6 fitness suites and a wide range of classes available throughout the day. The receptionist was excellent and made me feel very welcome. Both staff were very good talking in English for me and making sure I understood everything. I will definitely be visiting again soon. Unfortunately the pool was closed, hopefully it will be open next time

I'm very disappointed with the gym, most of all because they charged me without warning. I did my gym membership for a certain amount of period until a specific date, thinking that I don't have to do any further action to cancel my membership, and a bit after that date I got charged for the next month. I went there to solve the "mistaken" charge but little did I know I was supposed to go there before that "fixed" date and stop my membership. They did not tell me anything about that I had to do something like that when I first did my membership, they did not sent me any email reminding me nor did they call. I felt robbed as I had no idea that they charge the next month automatically and I was informed by no one. Worst of all is that they could not do anything to give me my money back.

The perfect gym for me. Principally, you can choose this gym just because of the amazingly friendly manager. Otherwise, it includes everything you need for a regular workout. However, if you are looking for fancy courses or a lot of space for free weight training, then you should go for a bigger place.

Only point of criticism for me presents the comparable low water pressure in the showers. However, this is really personal and propably does only bother me.

So so so small!!!! I joined and made 2 other friends join because in the website pictures the gym looked bigger.... but i guess the pictures were from somewhere else, the gym is really tiny, one machine of each...for now is ok but when lines start i am leaving :-/
