I have been eating in restaurants since last year and my favourite Dish are Chill chicken, Sweet and sour chicken and also spring rolls..
The atmosphere in this restaurant feels like home with Indian music in the back and people with welcoming smiles..
I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want Chinese/Indian taste to your food..✨
Way too oily. Veggy Manchurian looked great the wrong color it was red. The chili chicken was ok and the shrimp pakora was very good. They took forever to bring out the Hakka noodles we almost finished all the rest of the food and when it did come out it was kind of overcooked. Quality seems to have gone.
For the price you’re paying the food isn’t too bad. I have had alot better chilli chicken from Frederick’s but this joint isn’t bad if you are looking for chilli chicken on a budget. The rice wasn’t that good unfortunately.

Frederick Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a diverse menu that impresses with both taste and presentation.. The taste of every meal is great here. If you wanna try any Indian Chinese cuisine, you must visit here once.
The staffs were very friendly and overall the environment was very fabulous.
Me and my friends enjoyed there. Will be coming more in the future.
Bombay chicken, chilli chicken, pakoras highly recommended!
Highly recommended!!!❤️❤️

Great seasoning and flavor. They could have reduced gravy and replaced onions with actual veggies.
I recently dined at this Hakka Legend and had a highly disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, they automatically charged a gratuity on the bill, which is not mentioned anywhere on the menu. When I proceeded to pay, the payment terminal still prompted me to add a tip.

Upon questioning the manager, I was told they impose the automatic gratuity because, in his words, "customers are cheap." When I pointed out that this practice is unethical, he dismissively said, "It's your money and you can choose to eat elsewhere."

Additionally, the bathroom was filthy. The urinal was leaking and emitted a horrible smell, making the entire experience even more unpleasant. This attitude and lack of cleanliness are unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I will not be returning and suggest others avoid this place as well. There are much better options with more transparent and respectful service.
I have been going here since last 10 years, period the best Hakka spot in GTA, excellent top quality taste, large quantity, their crispy wings will blow you away and their spicy dragon chicken (house recipe) and Bombay chicken is top notch. Their chow mein and all rice dishes has mind blowing crazy taste.
I ordered Combo pakora which had some chicken, fish and shrimps pakoras. Those were bit oily but super tasty and crispy. Bombay chicken dry was little spicy but so delicious. I loved it.
Hakka mixed chow mein wasn’t spicy at all but the taste was so good.
Their service was amazing and the atmosphere was just perfect.
Great host, thanks for suggestion. Great food and quantity. Loved it.
This small and cozy hakka style Indo-Chinese restaurant serves authentic and delicious cuisine. Their large portions, a wide variety in food manu, reasonable prices, and excellent and quick service are added advantage. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has ample seating arrangement. They also have ample parking spaces.
Heard about this spot for their hakaka option. We ordered from the lunch specials, which was $8.75 plus tax, an extra $1.50 for the egg fried rice. Each lunch meal comes with plain rice and drink. Great portions, I had the Chili Chicken OMG sooo good. Hubby had the chicken ball with egg fried, delicious 🙏🏽. Will be returning to try the Padi Thai.

The person taking our order was definitely not friendly, in fact seemed disinterested.

When talking about the food, the chicken pagoda, garlic beef was spectacular but their fried rice was problematic. We couldn't finish the portion and took it home for it to go bad the next day even after storing it in the fridge immediately.

Really need to improve on their quality of service and food

We have always been coming to this place since 2 years and food had been fine always however, when we visited this place recently, the owner of the place who claims to be the one since last 20 years has been rude and had a very unwelcoming body language and rushed us while taking our order. The way he spoke was so disrespectful and disgusting tat we could not bear him for another minute and did inform him that the Hot Wok use to be a much better place when his son use to run it.
Bad food, terrible service! Extremely disappointed!

After reading these misleading food blogger reviews we went to try Frederick’s and ordered hot and sour soup, chicken Chowmein and king pao chicken.

Starting with the plates. They were super dirty.

Hot and sour soup was anything but hot and sour. It was so cold and when I complained to the waitress she said this to my face “ should I reheat it”. I mean it makes me question was it even freshly made.

The chowmein and kung pao were hot but they were so bland. The kung pao chicken was just ketchup like the soup and a very terrible one I must say. (The color of the dish makes you not want to eat it)

Went in at around 8 and was out at 8:20. Imagine food served and tasted in that time. Usually it takes 15 mins to just prepare food.

NEVER RETURNING!
It’s been one of my favourite place to eat it since I first went there in 2013. Since then I have been regular and still continue to love their food!

We decided to dine out on a whim over the weekend and, fortunately, secured a table within 10 minutes despite not having a reservation. The wait was well worth it. We opted for the special for four and added fried rice and chicken chow mein, as seen in the photo. The standout dishes for me were the Manchurian fish and garlic shrimp, both of which I highly recommend. The other dishes were classic but satisfying. The rice, though a bit stickier than usual, was still tasty. A minor issue was the table size, which barely accommodated our dishes due to the crowded restaurant. The highlight, however, was the fried banana ice cream dessert—a must-try that was so delightful I forgot to snap a photo.

Vegetable Spring Rolls - Best that I have had in a long while even with reheating them as they were a gift. Would love to try Spicy Dragon's other foods (perhaps one day) but delivery is out of my area.

Side note - my partner keeps getting gifted foods at his work. Chinese, Indian, Jamaican, and Pakistani. I am guessing his co-workers think his lunch sandwiches are boring. (Ha).
The food quality is worth to mention. I really have a great time whenever i go there. Good food and amazing customer service. The fried rice and chilli chicken which i have ordered yesterday was so delicious. I will definitely suggest this shop to my friends too
Love this place, the we ordered 3 dishes and all were absolutely amassing. Portions were great, taste and flavour was great and customer service was also great. Nice vibe and really enjoyed my visit overall. If you’re looking to try somewhere new and I would definitely put this one on your list.
This restaurant is great to enjoy flavourful Hakka Chinese food. The taste is authentic, portions are big and the service is excellent. This is one of 3 locations and has not disappointed once. A variety of lunch specials, each one delicious.
Notable dishes are - Chilli Chicken, Mango Chicken, Szechuan chicken, Hakka Noodles , Hot & Sour soup, fried rice to name a few !!

It was my Birthday and decided to order from this restaurant and we ordered a couple of dishes to take out.
There’s so many Hakka places in the area and gladly we came in the right one cause we all enjoyed the food, we order 5 dishes and so far 4/5 was good, I didn’t mind the beef but could’ve been a bit better besides that, the customer service was great as well. Will definitely come back and try other dishes in the menu and will definitely recommend this place.
I previously left a negative review after a disappointing experience with food that wasn't fresh, resulting in stomach pain. However, I decided to give them another shot yesterday. Surprisingly, they offered me the lunch special, even though it was a weekend. I must say, they've completely turned things around. The food was fantastic – fresh ingredients, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. It's not often you get such quality at this price point. For around $12, the value is unbeatable. It's clear they've taken feedback seriously and improved their game. I'm glad I gave them a second chance. They've won me over with their commitment to better service and quality meals. If you're looking for a tasty, affordable meal, it's definitely worth a visit.
I have been visiting this place with my fam since 2014. We usually order chilli chicken, Hakka Chowmien, Chicken Fired Rice, Schezwan Chicken and Chicken Pakora. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. A good place to dine-in with kids.
Although this food was brought to me it tasted pretty good! I didn't go inside so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere but it looked appetizing and it actually was! Perfect for lunch! Great portion as well. Hoping to go back and try more dishes from here.
I’m sorry. I’ve been here 4 times due to good pricing and it’s basically next door to my office. The restaurant stinks and is dirty. So much grime on the floors. I ordered anyways. The rice was good each time. The chicken balls have raw dough and I even asked for well done once I caught on to see if it was just a one off. Wrong. Tried the chicken wings instead. Broken bones, dark, dank, gross meat and greasy. Tasted spoiled and I threw them all away after busting a few open. Last time I was the there, and I mean the LAST TIME, a mouse ran across the floor in the hallway beside the kitchen. I returned against better judgement after a few let downs based on good reviews but I’m done. To each their own but this place is nasty.
Just really disappointed in the dining experience. Ordered a few items and found the taste to be below average. Nothing tasted quite how it should and the taste was quite light and maybe under seasoned. Oh top of this, the food did not taste fresh at all. It came within 2 mins of ordering and it felt that it was just microwaved or something. Got sweet and sour chicken which tasted ok but have had a lot better. The chilli chicken was really under flavoured and the chicken pieces for both seemed to be really low quality...just fat and little meat. Also tried the crispy beef which is super dry with no sauce (not sure how to eat) and also did not taste fresh. All in all, a forgettable experience.

Always love the food here but something really special happened yesterday... They forgot to include one dish in my order which I only realized after getting home. They were nice enough to deliver the missing dish to my home. It really speaks to how nice the people are. They are my absolute favourite Hakka in Scarborough.
bought a Cantonese noodle with shrimp and squid yesterday night. while chewing it, a 2 inches long plastic like noodle but it's clear. I think I might ate some of the plastic too. I called the manager and spoke with him and the way he was handling the problem unprofessional, rude. This kind of service from this restaurant so unbelievable. Customers should carefully. The reason I posted this review was not about the money, The manager should know how to handle this situation properly not like this way.

One of the best Hakka restaurants! I’ve been to Kim Kim’s numerous times for dine-in and take-out and they never fail to deliver the tastiest food. Food is always tasty, perfectly seasoned. Strongly recommend the dry beef, chilli chicken and tandoori chicken kebab rolls.

Fantastic hakka dishes. Friendly staff.
Been around for years. Lots of selection of dishes on their menu.
Well priced. This is a smaller location. Limited seating. Better for take out. They have a good amount of parking.
Their Pickering location is larger and better for eat in. We've been a customer for years.
Was my first time at Hakka Legend! Ordered egg fried rice and chilli beef. Portion was good and quickly served. Chilli beef tasted good. Egg fried rice didn't have much of egg and taste was okay. So, overall 3 star for food. One extra star for the service. When I asked for boxes for my left over the waitress was very kind and even packed my food. Other staff were nice and courteous too.
Embarking on a culinary journey at this GTA gem was nothing short of extraordinary. The perfect blend of authentic Hakka flavors, impeccable service, and a welcoming ambiance created an exceptional experience. Whether you're a Hakka novice or a seasoned enthusiast, the inviting atmosphere and innovative dishes cater to all tastes. With such affordable pricing, this establishment is a must-visit for those seeking great food. Don't miss out on this symphony of flavors and culinary artistry—highly recommended for an unforgettable dining adventure!

TLDR : Portion size not worth the money 👎🏽

Tried the Hakka Six on my way to the movies in Cineplex Scarborough.

It is located on the lower food court of Scarborough City Centre near Thai Express and the other Asian eateries.

The service is good and the staffs are responsive. The major drawback I felt is the portion size and the money for the same.

I ordered the steamed chicken momos and they are good but they are half a bite or 40-45% of an actual momo or dumpling that you get even in Hakka stores outside the mall.

That aside, the momos tasted good. They arrived steaming hot even though it took 5-8 minutes as notified by the staff. Make sure to ask for the chilli chutney or paste along with the momos.

8 momos costed me 13.55 CAD
1 can of ginger ale another 2.60 😪

So, I would say the Hakka Six are indeed trying to make up for the rent they would be paying at Scarborough City Centre 😊

Hope they upped their portion size as well ✌🏿

A Well-Rounded Dining Experience at Haka Legend Asian Cuisine

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Haka Legend Asian Cuisine, and my overall experience was quite positive. The restaurant's atmosphere struck a delightful balance between modern aesthetics and a cozy ambiance. The warm lighting and tasteful decor created a welcoming environment that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

The standout feature for me was the attentive and friendly service. The staff at Haka Legend were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations and willingness to accommodate special requests significantly enhanced the dining experience.

Now, turning to the food, while it was generally good, I found some dishes lacked a bit of the bold flavors I expected from Asian cuisine. The variety on the menu was impressive, but a few dishes could benefit from a more robust seasoning to truly stand out.

In terms of specific dishes, the **Chilli Chicken** was a highlight with its spicy kick and flavorful blend of ingredients. However, the **Mandarin Chicken** fell slightly short of expectations, lacking the depth of taste I anticipated.

Despite these minor culinary nuances, the overall experience at Haka Legend Asian Cuisine was positive. The inviting atmosphere and exceptional service played a crucial role in elevating the dining experience. I would recommend Haka Legend to those seeking a pleasant environment and attentive service, with the hope that the culinary offerings continue to evolve for an even more satisfying experience in the future. Hence, I rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
I recently tried this great place and it was a total win! The portions were great – definitely got my money's worth and then some. The flavors were spot on, especially their chili chicken which was just the right kind of spicy. Plus, the staff were super friendly and quick with service, making the whole experience really laid-back and enjoyable.
Good experience. Service is fast. Food is good. Must try the seafood hot and sour soup 🍲 😋.
Their menu is good too and many options.
I live far from here and it was my first time going as I was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. I got combo plater 4C I got Beef fried rice, chicken wings, and spring rolls. I can say this is the best fried rice I have ever tasted and I’ve tasted many different fried rice dishes as it is my favourite food. They were not stingy with the portions whatsoever I eat a lot and when I tell you I got full and it didn’t even seem like I made a dent in the food was crazy. The price is reasonable and comparable to other restaurants of this kind considering the times we are in right now but the portion makes up for it 10x. I’m making it my mission to come to this place any time I’m in the area. 10/10 you won’t be disappointed.
Loved their food. Foods are halal as per the server and reception. A lil bit spicy but really enjoyed that. Will try the other items as well. Waiting time is around 15 mins once you place the order. Portion size was really good. 1 dish is enough for 3-4 people.

Hakka Legend has great food! I love the curry chicken spring rolls. The staff are very friendly and they provide great customer service. My mom and sister both have celiac disease and this establishment goes out of their way to let them know what they can make for them that is gluten free and always make sure that they take great care when preparing their food. The chicken fried rice and chili chicken (dry) are very good. Glad this restaurant was recommended to me.

This was a good Hakka experience! I tried chowmein noodles with spicy chicken and sweet sesame chicken! It was delicious. What I loved most was it did not have a lot of oil unlike other places. The spice level and everything else was so perfect. I will definitely go again! Give it a try. I haven’t tried with their rice, which looked really good! 💗
Nice and amazing food. We ordered rice noodles, chicken fried rice and ginger beef. It was awesome.

Such a delight every time, been customer over 2 years, every time food is excellent with smile. Great customer care and service. Food quality is above all. Delicious food for everyone and Halaal lovers.
One of the best Hallal Chinese option. Tried their sweet and Sour soup it was outstandingly delicious.

Tried different gravies like beef chilli dry, prawn n chicken shashlik and prawn pakoras in starters.

Typical taste, will visit again
Cozy little spot, unassuming from the outside. Inside feels like stepping back to a Chinese restaurant from my childhood- classic style decor, clean and pleasant. Food was excellent, somehow a little notch above other Hakka restaurants I’ve tried. The chili chicken actually had good size pieces of green chilies in the sauce. Service was great. Looking forward to going back.

The food itself can be a hit or miss depending on what is ordered.

$14.95 Lollipop Chicken 8 pieces
Not bad.

$13.95 Fish Pakora
Pretty decent. Not the best out there, but was good.

$16.95 Spicy Deep Fried Mixed Seafood (Dry)
This was a little underwhelming. It wasn't as expected. The seafood was more or less a mix bag of stuff you'd find in the freezer isle. It was also too salty.

$13.95 Guyanese Chicken on Egg Fried Rice
This was pretty good. The rice was flavorful and the chicken was tender.

$13.95 House Special noodles
The noodles were decent as well. Not overly salty and yet has a Hakka style flavor.

Free parking.
This is a great place to have a Sri Lankan dinner. We had their “bamboo biryani” and some egg hoppers. The food portion is good and the hot masala tea was great. The staff was friendly and really appreciate Kevin’s assistance.
Craving for Indian hakka
Hakka legend ellesmere location is must tey spot

Recommendations : Mango salad, Szechuan Chicken noodles, bombay paneer, Manchurian balls gravy
Got aluminium dishwashing lid in our food and the lady on the phone was too rude. She didnt even cared about it. Order number- 564648357, skip the dishes, thursday sep 21 at around 7:30 pm

Super delicious tamil food. Canada is a haven for Srilankan tamil food. I would highly recommend the delicious food here. There are so many varieties, and the taste is spot on. Top picks would be appam, briyani, chilli chicken, rotti with vanni mutton curry.
This is small, very nice location for your Hakka food. The Chilli chicken is offered in both dry and wet )with or without gravey). Both are very delicious. I also tried their chicken Pakoras and chow main, both of which I completely enjoyed. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly.
First time dining at this place. Even though the ambience is ok, the host was really sweet and welcoming. He was very patient in explaining the dishes and helped us made good choices. We ordered chicken soup, chicken pakora, chicken with mixed vegetables (dinner plate) and chili beef. Beef was amazing and soup was really good. Would definitely try the beef here again.

Nice Indian cuisine. Bamboo chicken Biriyani was very flavourful, the spicy lobster was great. The veg fried rice, calamari and panner pakora was good. Unfortunately, service could of been better.
Good food but the staff’s need to be a bit more patience.

An unassuming place that does what it's supposed to do - serve great food - and does it really well. We ordered the bamboo chicken biryani and the fish puttu combo. They were both amazing! Tasty. Satisfying. Good portions. The various side dishes that come with both these orders were lip-smacking as well. I would absolutely recommend this place and will surely be visiting again to try some of the other things on their menu. The food was 👍🏻👍🏻
We ordered Fried Prawns and vegetable soup. Both of them were good but a bit pricey when compared to the local Chinese restaurants. The fortune cookies were crispy and taste really good.I love how the restaurant blends in flavours according to your spice preferences .Must visit this place,if the Indian in you craves for some extreme spicy hakka
Amazing food, very tasty and full of flavour. We order the house special noodles, chili chicken, chicken pakora and chicken brocoli. It was the best tasting chinese food I ever tried. We ordered 1 order of each dish and 3 of us ate, plus we had left overs to take home. For the 4 dishes, I paid about $60.

We ordered 3 dishes. Hot and Sour Soup, Beef with Broccoli and Hakka Chicken noodles. Service was very quick and efficient. The restaurant has dine-in with a good capacity. It was quite busy with other orders as well. The hosts were very attentive.

My husband, 8 year old daughter and I all loved what we ordered ❤️ The Beef with Broccoli had a great sauce and tender pieces of beef, Broccoli and carrots. The noodles had an amazing smokiness to it and the soup was delicious made even more amazing by their sauces.

And the bill came in under $50. Definitely going to be my favorite go-to hakka place.

This place is located in STC's food court. Its halal and I bought the 2 meat+ 1 veggie + 1 rice. It's for $13.99+tax. However, I requested if I can get noodles instead of veggie and the person gladly accepted. I got honey garlic chicken, chilli chicken, noodles and a mix of spicy and regular rice. Our favourite was the noodles and the honey garlic chicken. The best thing is my kids enjoyed it, too. We'd definitely go back for the noodles and especially for honey garlic chicken.
Prepare to be swept away by an explosion of flavors as tender beef, succulent chicken, vibrant veggies, and plump shrimp unite in a symphony of taste in the house special chow mein. As for the young chow fried rice, it's a delightful revelation – an abundant medley of chicken and shrimp dancing harmoniously on your palate. Each bite is a revelation of freshness, leaving your taste buds yearning for more. Rest assured, your cravings will be met, and any notions of disappointment will be a distant memory.

My son and daughter came over to my place yesterday. My daughter ordered yesterday for the first time and Yummiest food I have tasted in a very long time. We all enjoyed it very much. Would definitely recommend it to our family and friends 😊
My friends and I went from Mississauga to Scarborough to try this food and it was amazing and worth our time. I tried Puttu for the first time ever and it was awesome! Great ambiance and even greater taste! Must try.
This location gives more rice than the Warden location, which is nice. More companies should fill the box with rice. It looks cheap when it's half full. Good Bombay chicken here. The chilli chicken here was off though. Food quality is comparable to the Warden location.
The food was amazing and the prices are even better. The amount of food they give you for the price is great. We came in 45 minutes before closing and still let us order and stay past closing time to finish eating. Only issue was that the server was quite aggressive rushing us to order, but understandable because it was near closing time. We highly recommend the bombay chicken and chili chicken! The chicken shrimp chili thai soup was also really good!
They use red meat for chicken. And its not mentioned anywhere. They should write dark meat or white meet. Very unimpressed.
Soup is good. So is food.
My first time having Hakka food was here!

The food is pretty greasy but the flavour and spice is there. Portions were average, but considering how heavy it was, size was not bad. We got 4 dishes for 4 people, and had leftovers.

Servers were very fast and didn't really pay us much attention.

A good place to dine casually with family and friends!

Washrooms are downstairs near the entrance.

Loved the taste of the food.
The staff was very friendly in suggesting what is the best seller.
You get a option to try the gravy and select which one you want to go ahead with.
The spicy level is just what I wanted.
Recommend to try this place
Portions are great for the price and service is quick. Soups here are great. Food is good, nothing bad about it but I just feel like they use a lot of oil because of which you can’t really taste anything once your mouth is coated with fat. Also some dishes like Hakka Noodles have a lot of MSG (amount more than what would be considered normal).
Such a wonderful place to get amazing South Indian/Tamil food. Star of the show was without a doubt the Masala dosa. Cannot recommend this enough! Super crispy and all round perfection.

The kothu roti on the other hand was a bit of a disappointment— too runny/too much curry and too spicy too compared to everything else. Also ordered the puttu with fried fish. Only came with one piece while I believe the menu said two pieces. The egg with herbs was perfect!

Would revisit again but wouldn’t reorder the kothu roti personally.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food quite tasty and good value.
Service was excellent. Food was salty and mold on the vegetables. Owner of the restaurant was at the cash counter. So we ask for the bill. She verbally said $40.45 so I left 45 dollars. I know it is not enough money for tips.
Let me break down for you.
2lunch specials 9.50 each=19 dollars
1 Thai soup. 11.75. =11.75
=30.75+13%tax=34.74
The gratuity was added to the bill.
I have attached some pictures of the food.
I leave the judgment to you.
For $10, you get a main and a spring roll or a pop. Great value. I got the General Tao chicken on rice. I got a lot of chicken but no veggies. The portion was large. It tasted like Chinese takeout from a food court. It was not bad but nothing special. The restaurant was very dated. The owner focused on efficiency and you wouldn't get much service.
The BEST bombay chicken I’ve ever tried🔥 The honey garlic chicken & BBQ is also pretty solid. The flour they use gives the chicken an extra crunch which I personally love.

Customer service is not great, not much effort is put in to create a enjoyable atmosphere…if you care about that sort of thing.

Been going here for years because they had the best garlic naan, the prices were average, and people are friendly. Last time I went the garlic naan was very dry and crunchy, the portion was bigger, but it was the worst naan I ever had. The prices increased a lot compared to other places, $8.40 for a mango shake? Will not go back again, the people are still nice, but the food quality for the price is not worth it anymore.

I have been going to this restaurant for the past 3-4 years. Sadly, I must say the quality of the food has expelled substantially. It is a disappointment of what kind of food I was served from this restaurant today, without any apprehension. We ordered Chicken Fried Rice, Hakka Beef Noodles, Chili Chicken, Stir Fry Beef and Chicken Corn Soup. A complete waste of $75. All the dishes except the soup taste burnt (as if cooked in a burnt wok). The noodles tasted like burnt with an extraordinary amount of black pepper (not edible).

Food: 1/10
Recommend: 1/10
The soups were well cooked. We tried chicken corn soup, and sweet and sour soup. We also tried chilli chicken and chicken chaw mein, both of which had more oil than our liking. The chicken was well cooked and marinated. The noodles had good balance of spices and sauces . Overall the experience was good.
Today I ordered few items from this restaurant. I picked up my order. After came home I was surprised to see size of the chicken wings( smallest size, no meat)and it was not fresh and hard and old. When I called to complain about it, she was so rude and told we couldn’t do anything about it. Really surprised how they are running business in Canada. Think twice before you order any items specifically chicken wings ever from this restaurant. All prices are higher in comparison with other restaurants and poor services . Dealing with customers was very upsetting and very rude.

This is one of the few restaurants I always go to at STC. Their food is oily but tastes pretty good and flavourful. Portion is not that bad.
Both spicy and non-spicy noodles were average (4/5)
Mixed vegetable was amazing (5/5)
Pepper chicken really good (5/5)
Chicken 65 is also highly recommended (5/5)

Arrived here for the lunch special. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and general Tao. The lunch special is $10 and comes with rice and chicken with a spring roll. Overall, it was a good meal, not much to complain about. I also had ordered the chicken corn soup, for which the chicken was a bit mushy and undercooked. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning in the near future.
New hakka spot. Never tried it before because i thought its strictly Chinese food due to the name but its hakka. Amazing food and service. Manchurian egg fried rice. Chili chicken gravy. Chicken pakoras and veggie chow mein and crispy beef is what we get. Will continue going here.

The workers here are very friendly and service oriented.
A good place for hakka style Chinese food in Scarborough. Quality of food is good and quantity is also fair. Price is reasonable They serv really quick. They have both take out and dine in facility. Recently they did some renovation, the space is now bit congested. Albeit it is worth recommending for its yummy food.

The food and service was very good! The food was very enjoyable and it actually tasted like Hakka! Indian infused spices into Chinese items. The noodles were spicy with a nice kick to it. The chili fish and chili chicken were also very good as well. A would recommend overall!!!
I am always looking for spots that offer good Hakka Chinese (Indian Chinese) food and I came across this place! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The quantity is amazing too. However, the only downside of this place is it's customer service which can be ignored if you're concerned only about the food. Their bombay chicken is my absolute favourite!

I've had Hakka food before and this restaurant wasn't bad at all despite the poor ratings they have received. They let me try a couple of dishes and I really like what I sampled so that's why I purchased their meal. I ordered the Manchurian chicken and dry chili chicken with a mix of Manchurian fried rice and spicy noodle with broccoli. The food was very tasty and spicy....just what I wanted. They gave nice sized portions and the prices for the meals were similar to carribbean queen and bourbon st grill. I would visit them again.

This place has potential but unfortunately the only word I have to describe their food is salty. From their fried rice to chicken you can tell that it would have tasted ok without so much salt but the salt was overpowering, it was very unfortunate. The spice and heat was good just really wished it wasn't so salty.

Got the General Tao’s Chicken and Beef Broccoli. Both tasted great. Beef broccoli really stood out, very flavourful. Both dishes weren’t oily either. I was expecting the general tao’s chicken to be more crispier but they use less batter here which makes it taste much healthier. I rather would’ve had a crispier kind today but I did like it feeling lighter in the stomach. Will be back to try the other menu items little by little. Prices to taste is fair. These two dishes could feed 2-4 ppl no problem.
Currently due to Covid, this is one of the few Hakka places that is open for indoor dining. It's one of the best, clean and delicious taste. Everything on the menu that I tried was good: Chili Chicken dry, Beef noodles, chicken balls, shrimp fried rice, time before that Hakka vegetables and hot and sour soup. Only thing I wasn't a fan of is the hot and sour soup as it had too much coriander flavour in my opinion. Still a 5 star!
It’s good Hakka food but wouldn’t break my top 3 in Toronto.

Chicken Pakoras were the best thing by far.

Chilli Chicken was good. Schezuan Chicken was really spicy. So not the typical sweetish flavor you get.

Overall, it was satisfying.

Flavors are pretty strong. The chili chicken was quite good though wasn't too too spicy. The chicken was quite tender. The pakora fish was very good, good curry spices and hot peppers inside. Large sized and very spicy. The chicken noodles was quite good too. Prices are very reasonable for portions. 10% cash discount makes this place at least 4*. Location of the plaza is pretty shady though.
Went for lunch over the holidays while visiting family. This is one of our local favourites in Scarborough. The food is always great and plenty in terms of portion size. We always end up taking the left over home for another meal or two for the four of us. The Chili chicken is the best! It’s a must for us whenever we dine in or take out from Lin Garden (which is a LOT). The price is excellent! Highly recommend you to give it a try if you are in the area.

Food was fresh and warm. Extremely flavourful and slightly spicy Hakka food. I recommend putting the spicy vinegar and chilies onto your food for an extra kick. Portions are big and you really can’t beat these prices.

Service was pretty fast and servers were friendly. Would definitely come back.

I have dined at this place before and the service was very fast and food was good. Worth the money. Love the beans dish. And we ordered take out last night and it was good. Enjoyed the beef and beans dish with chicken fried rice.
Lin Gardens does not disappoint! We are always excited to bring new friends to this restaurant! The owners have been very kind to us over the years, often asking about our children. The food is awesome. Always spicy, tasty and delivered hot/fresh. Usually we start eating the food before we think to take a photo, so excuse me if the plate looks partly empty.

Been coming here for years. We love this place. The nicest service, food comes out super quick and everything is full of flavour.
