Lost my disc there, but the Disc golf course was nice! It was a great experience enjoying the outdoors and being able to have fun with friends!

Great park for you to let the dog run, one other person walked up with his aggressive mutt, but I carry a Kimber micro 1911 & Bear 🐻 mace for those incidents where some lazy dog owners who claim their dog is "Usually friendly". I would never shoot a dog unless lawfully necessary & last resort. But I'm not going to take them at their "word" anymore. I often go to timberlinn dog park and I see horrible owners on a regular basis, one lady brings 2 Bull Mastiffs that are aggressive and loud & she cusses them and drags them into the small dog pen & she sits in the car on Facebook.
Some people have no business owning dogs. No bad dog, just bad owners.

Also, the bathroom is currently closed 🔐
My son and I love this place. Not only does our friend Barry live close but there is Ducks and other pond life. Along with a safe playground.

This is such a great park! The playground is really enjoyable for the kids and the short loop around the lake is great too. My only complaint is that I wish the fence separating the playground and the road was a chain link fence instead of the wooden posts, I saw a kid try to climb through the gap which let out right into the street before his mom caught him and pulled him back. It really made me nervous, the rail style is so obviously a safety concern I don’t know why they would install such a spacious fence. But anyway, still a fun park

Clean, inviting, beautiful little play area. I use this park for disc golf. It could use city approval for some permanent tee pads. That way we can avoid slipping in the rain/mud.

This is a nice little park.

Nice buildings to see. You can see the different stone government buildings surrounding you.

Very empty nice and peaceful. Though I went there on a Friday, 1:30pm unemployed hours so most people were probably working.

The benches were sittable.

The ground was hard and very walkable.

The trees were very treelike..

👍

Decent sledding hill
The park itself is great. I'm not a fan of dog parks but my shepherd and I live in an apartment now. But no matter what dog park you never know what dogs will show up. Don't assume every dog is friendly just because their owners brought them there. We met some very nice people and dogs until we didn't. Verdict is out til we have more visits under our belt. It is a bit like Russian roulette. Good luck!

A place where your voice to be heard to others if there is justice without discrimination.
Ann Lee pond is a scenic short walk through a nicely maintained trail.
Ann Lee Pond is a peaceful and secluded nature trail in Colonie, NY. The trails are well kept and easy to hike and follow. There are many nice views of the pond on the trail. There are many picnic tables around to sit down. You can also fish in the pond. If you do the loop trail around the pond there are 2.3 miles of trails total. Dogs on leashes are allowed. Trail maps are available for free online.
If time permits be sure to check out the nearby Shaker Historic Village. This site contains historic buildings from the original Shaker settlement that was created there in the 18th century. It is easy to walk around and there is a gift shop there.
Plenty of parking available, with electric car charging spots. Only negative of the area is that the planes from the nearby airport are loud. Worth a stop for a nice hike.
Excellent mix of options for dogs with a pond, fenced and unfenced off leash area.
Buckingham Lake Park in Albany is a great place to visit for a few hours of fun and relaxation. The park has a lake, walking trails and playground.

You can relax and enjoy the view. The walking trails are well-maintained.

The playgrounds are perfect for children of all ages, with a variety of equipment to keep them entertained.

Overall, I highly recommend Buckingham Lake Park for a walk, or to let the little ones have a play in the playgrounds.

This area reduces my blood pressure, and always brings a smile to my face.
Nice and open area. Can’t park so suggest parking in Albany and walking over. Dog friendly but not many people go there

Great place for hiking and biking 🚴‍♂️ the roads are very clean and well maintained.
Usually breezy from the river. Only drawback is noise from 787 in places. Depending on time of day not shady though many trees line the path. Great for biking and walking
Absolutely love my walks on the sandy trails that go for miles and miles. Good for the calf muscles. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Not a fan of the noise of the traffic that surrounds the beautiful sand dunes preserve, but close by if you live in the Albany area. An absolute must visit. There are multiple trailhead parking areas that allow you to access different areas, all spectacular. Great walking or running year round.

Popular place to walk during the lunch hour. There is a pedestrian bridge the enables people to cross over the highway from the office buildings.

Went through city park day and it was fun.bHas a big metal slide, swings and a smaller slide/structure for toddlers. Also metal.
And then the old Ann Lee Nursing home was gone. This is a beautiful place to walk the nature trail around the pond. Walk and see the bulls and other livestock at the Shaker site. The barns gorgeous, the people are friendly. It’s relaxing if you just want to take a nice walk, or relax reading information about the shakers
Nice park but small. About 0.75 mile walk around the lake on a gravel/packed dirt path. 3 water fountains in the lake. A few nice spots to sit and relax by the water. Small playground right by the parking lot. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.
We love taking our dogs here. The only thing I don't like is all the dust right now with it being so dry. Otherwise, it's a great place with plenty of shade, benches, and water bowls.

If you love to walk near water, this is a place you must visit. It’s quiet and peaceful. Also great for biking.
Beautiful Park and a nice easy trail! Highly recommend.Looks like the EV charger on the parking lot is for free.
Awesome park with great woodland trails, pond, beaver dam, boardwalk over wetlands, and informational signs. Walking here you are deep in the woods but you are just next the airport! Fiddlestick ferns galore!
This is the best dog park in the area. Huge with an off-leash area next to a pond and a park. If you come in the winter/wet months, expect to get muddy. The pond is stocked a few times a year, so you can fish while your dog runs around in the off-leash area. Currently there is a half downed tree that needs addressing.
This loop trail was such a nice Sunday walk, and it was very flat and easy to maneuver.

Just make sure you have shoes with some good grip and can get dirty because the trails tend to hold lots of water in areas, and the leaves make it hard to see the mud.

I would also keep your maps or Alltrails app up because there are alot of forks and trails that lead off in different directions.

Nice neighborhood park with a small playground, basketball court and two grassy baseball fields with backstops, and a lot of room to take the dogs out to walk, run or for some fun. Plus they have a nice disc golf course, and there's enough room to throw frisbees, too.
Beautiful track to walk; especially if you happen to be in Downtown Albany. Snow is plowed in the winter and the path is salted. Plenty of place to park you vehicle 🚗. Scenic walk along the Hudson River. You can also rent a kayak from DEC in the summer.
Another beautiful nature trail tucked in Upstate NY, especially nearing peak fall leaf change. This is a nice and quiet spot near the Albany Airport. There is a nice trail for biking, walking and bird watching. There are also picnic tables for a nice sit down. Worth checking out.
Like all the trails in the Pine Bush Preserve, Blueberry Hill was a great hike! The only disappointing bit was that we didn't see any blueberries, but other than that it was lovely. I enjoy hiking the Pine Bush and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique hike in the Capital region.
I truly had no idea that Albany contained nature preserves to hike in. I discovered the Albany Pine Bush Preserve not long ago, and I think they are wonderful. You get a good workout, beautiful scenery, and the trails are well-marked too.

Have a family reunion there & it is such a great park! Nice trees, having a place to plug in hot food & be able to serve cafeteria style is terrific.
Really nice park to go and relax for the day. Went with a friend to go fishing was a really nice quite park, great for fishing, dogs, and my kids loved watching the ducks. It's a pretty place to go.

Nice and easily accessible park to celebrate party with friends and foods, even hot fries…yummy!!
Buckingham lake park is so beautiful. It's peaceful and quiet. The neighborhood around it is very nice also. There's ducks in the water which you been not feed. You also can not smoke here. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash. There's a beautiful playground for the kids next to the water so be careful. This is definitely a cool place to hang out with the family or alone.

I love that the play structure is older like when I was a kid myself it brings back memories of my very own childhood when playgrounds we're still fun!!! Great park for all ages, some picnic tables, I grill, no bathroom however. A nice big green field and a basketball court with two hoops. Also located in a nice neighborhood.

Not much going on here in the middle of January, but still beautiful.
Nice park along the river, with some good views up to the city. We visited in October 2021.
28oct Nice cool ~50s_F late p.m. walk of the Ann Lee Pond Preserve .. The Trail going around the Pond was in good walking condition whereas the Loop below the Pond traversed over many muddy sections .. Didn't see any one on the Trail. Lots of peace and quiet :)

Nice place to relax. There's a lot of fishing here too. There's also a dock for your boats. This park honestly is just another regular parks. There's a ton of parties here. If you just want to hang out in the small gazebo just to watch the water and boats or sometimes the usual beaver just swimming along then this is the park for you. I used to like this place but it's not that great anymore.

I grew up play in at this park in the 80s and 90s. I love that the play structures are the same for nostalgia but they do need some restoration. It's so special watching my children play at the same park. Its clean and rarely busy also offers a great shaded picnic area.
This is the best dog park I have ever been to period there is a lake for the dogs to swim in in an off-leash area as well as a large area for the dogs to play in which is divided into large and small. There's a watering station poop bags and several entrances and exits. It's a great size and surrounded by a very beautiful Park
Great location to come for a walk, jog, ride a bike, take pictures, look at the swans, and enjoy the view. I am sure this place looks better in Spring and Summer. We came to visit when it was still winter, and it was very cold. We were unable to enjoy it more.
Clean park with spacious grassy areas. There is a medium amount of parking, which is okay since it's a quiet park.

The small play area is appropriate for approximately ages 2-12, with swings (baby and big kid) and a boat themed play structure.

The bathrooms are open seasonally (locked in winter). There is a nice, large covered outdoor kitchen and many picnic tables.
There is nothing here. It is more of a developed lot than any kind of park. Although, I did go here on a 60°F day in late February, I thought I would see things other than a statue and lights. There is a very tiny grassy area with a water pump there - I don't know if it works because I didn't bother because of the time of year. There were no permanent benches or any other seating area. There is essentially a side walk along the fence line for a block with some grassy area. It's not really a park at all. There not even other forms of public art, recreation facilities or anything to say that it is a park. It's just a paved and fenced in area with a statue.
Good place to be alone, while surrendered by many people and mother nature. It really will make you feel good walking alone, with a love one or with your dog, along the bike trail which is part of the Corning Preserve. There are plenty of space for everyone. Also, facilities, play ground for the little ones, picnic area with B.B.Q. grills are available around the are. There are other attractions close by, like the Dutch Apple Cruising, The Slater, Albany Rowing Center, The Skyway and the most important thing: the Hudson River. All this facilities are free of cost and family friendly. So, don't stay at home and come down to the Corning Preserve and walk alone the Hudson River. As always, lets keep Albany's public facilities clean for the enjoyment of present and future generations to come and .... If you see something; say something.
Beautiful park. Quiet, not too many people and scenic. The lake is very nice and has a couple of fountains as well. You will see a family of geese chilling somewhere which is awesome. There is also a playground if you have kids that you want to bring to this park.

Overall, the park isn’t all that big but has everything you could ask for from a park. A nice trail, trees, lake, quiet atmosphere, animals, and parking area. If you’re in the Albany area, definitely check this park out. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area.
It is still a good place for family hangout and it's free of cost. Friendly people, and aquatic activities, such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, boating are making of this place the favorite spot for the residents of Albany and visitors as well. But most of all, the Bike Trail along the Hudson River make of this place a great destinations for biker, walker, runners joggers and bird watcher and so on.There is not need to be afraid here. Like in the most recreational places in Albany the Riverfront is guarded by people like you, ready to make our community a better place. The residents of Albany are people that care. So, don't feel uncomfortable if somebody is looking at you, because what is coming next is a beautiful and friendly smile from ear to ear, followed by ..." you have a good day". There are a lot of activities taking place here. Mostly during the Summer. You better check the New York State official website to learn more about them. The most of the activities here are family oriented. There is a kids playground surrounded by a picnic area. That way you can watch for your children while you do your grilling. Close by clean restrooms and plenty of parking areas. The Riverfront is open 24/7. There is not need to rush. Take your time and relax.

I have been going here since I was a little boy. My grandparents lived two houses in from the pond/lake on Lenox Ave. I remember fishing with my grandpa, skating in the winter, and now I take my kids here. The new playground is nice and the picnic tables are good for bringing a lunch. Glad to have a place like this to come to.

Great park on a nice spring or summer afternoon, and even better when the food trucks are out!
This is a nice walk/run/bike trail along the Hudson River. Nice place in the daytime but it seems to be a homeless encampment in the evening hours. There are bathrooms and a bike share location. Trails are paved but a little bumpy in some areas. In the summer they have outdoor concerts called Alive at 5pm which are free to attend. Pictures below show the stage under the under pass due to rain.
Beautiful lawns. Plenty of trees for shade. Easy to get to. Great place for a picnic or to rally to save America.
I come here with my two dogs as much as possible. It does get very muddy during winter and spring but my Labrador LOVES the mud and water so I dont mind. Very large areas for dogs to run. It would be good to have a light out there for winter time. Hard to see picking up poop when leaving too late.

Great outdoor barbecue area with seating. Covered area for buffet set up and storing food while you cook. Playground for small kids with sand volleyball court and field area for other games. Horseshoe pits (2) and bathroom facility. No basketball court is the only downside. Great shaded area when hot. Would come back.

Good place to walk, bike, picnic, or just watch the world pass by. On my visit there the dock at the boat launch was under water due to heavy rain and high tide.
Nice short easy little trail(about a mile) around a pond with fountains. Playground, portopotty, water fountain, parking area. Benches sprinkled throughout for sitting. There were several other people but it wasn't crowded. Duck and goose residents.

This is a quiet, backstreet park located away from any busy areas. Surrounded by neighborhoods, you will usually see families and people with dogs enjoying this space. I love this park because of the combination of solid facilities for parties (about 20 picnic tables) and the large open space. Instead of having a party at my house, I can head out to this park during the summer and use the facilities and have access to space for many people. I think the shelter can be reserved, so be sure to get there early or check on reserving if you want to avoid crowds.
